We've stayed at Almond Court before and found it exactly what we needed for our stay for ice hockey. The lovely owner had turned the lights on for us and thoughtfully put the heat pump on 24, as it was only 2 degrees outside. Check in was a breeze and we were very comfortable. There is a small oven, hot plates, microwave....all you may need if you are self catering, like we were. We enjoyed the recliner chairs, Netflix, comfy beds and good pressure in the (dated) shower.

The cottage we stayed in was beautiful, we'll styled and very comfortable and everything we needed was provided.

Unfortunately their was several things that ruined my stay at Almond Court first was the neighbour that played music late into the night and then the non stop road noise. While the unit is double glazed the hole through the wall in the ensuite for extraction let's all the road noise in it almost makes the double glazing useless.

Little cottage: Comfortable large bed, there is enough pillows to cuddle. Kitchen facilities and whiteware. There were Kitchen towels to dry the dishes, clean the bench top n dry your hands, were provided separately. Washing machine provided. Air condition to keep you cool n warm. Indoor n outdoor seats to chill out. Small compact bathroom with shampoo and shower wash, nice shower with overhead shower n traditinal shower head.

Some plates n dishes were not be cleaned properly...specially plates and glasses were quite greasy. They needed to be cleaned before use.

Great location for a base to ride the cycle trails. The room was comfortable with a great bed and good showers. It was clean and well supplied. The owner gave us good maps and a place to store our bikes. He let us store our car for an overnight park as we shuttled the trail. We appreciated the laundry. We would use this place again

Our unit was very dark in a corner, we missed the sun.

Multi room large space with kitchen and big bed. Very centrally located and reasonably priced for what you got.

I went to the office to ask for more milk and was told they only provide milk for the first day. I suggested that as they offered no discount for the second and subsequent days that seemed unbalanced. They gave me some milk.

The layout of the accommodation was very spacious which surprised us. Couldn't fault our stay at all, would book again if we visit Alexandra again. Reception (I presume the owner) was very helpful and accommodating even prepare to get the room cleaned first before the allotted book in time so our bags etc would be safe. We liked the fact that this is a small, family-run motel. It was quite peaceful and had easy walking access to the centre of town. The unit was spacious - bedroom, sitting area, kitchenette, bathroom. We appreciated the warm welcome, helpful advice and milk provided. Comfortable bed, with a choice of pillows. Glad we stayed two nights as it allowed us the experience Alexandra. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

A door on the toilet would be good.

Well equipped kitchen - nice little extras - like hand towel in kitchen, double toilet roll holder, supplementary radiator heating, bathroom heater, milk in a bottle, comfy lounge chairs - and plenty of parking!

A heated towel rail wool be useful - recycled towels a bit cold and damp mid winter!

After a long day travelling, it was great to arrive in the evening with a very friendly & prompt check-in. The room was cozy & warm. All the facilities you would need for a single night stay or a week. My first time staying here but I would definitely recommend it.

Location. Very close to local shops and especially supermarket. Short drive to surrounding towns. Very quiet. Dedicated parking outside room. Private seating outside room. Use of bbq and picnic table. Great for us as we were 2 families so we could easily eat together. Toys for small children were great for us too. Owner very helpful.
