Great breakfast and a big spacious eating area! The room was very plain and efficiently furnished and had everything I could possibly need. Communication: bus stops and train central (East/Östra) very close. Restaurants close, near the train central. If you like walking both university and the river is within 15 minutes of walking distance. Area around hotel felt very safe and had everything one might need.

The look from the room wasn't very scenic; parking lot and ugly buildings.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional hospitality. Dining at the hotel’s restaurant was a culinary delight. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable The location is ideal for me because I had my fiancé hospitalized in the hospital in front of the hotel. Whether you’re in town for business, leisure, or a bit of both,this the perfect place to stay. I can’t wait to return on my next visit to Umeå!

Everything was PERFECT!

Very good value for money. Cute, clean, have all the amenities, there was all you can possibly need even if you arrive late at night, also we was able to park our motorcycles right by the main entrance.

Thewhole stay had only one big minus. SCRAMBLED EGG!!! Waz really the worst I ever tasted as a person who travels a lot. You could feel the powder in every bite, it was even bitter. Hard to explain, but it was almost uneatable.

All meals (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) had good choices and plenty on offer. Good for those needing gluten-free / vegan meals. Bus to city center takes 10 minutes and is cheap (local bus app is very user friendly)

Meal times can be a problem - Breakfast bar closes at 9:00 monday to friday so no possibility of a lie-in. Early dinner as well (restaurant closes 19:00) so a later meal time means finding a restaurant somewhere else.

Good location, close to the Umeå East Station and the Umeå University. Bus station right in front of the entrance. About a 20 minute walk from the city centre. And it's a nice walk as the city is relaxing and enjoyable. There's a supermarket a short walk behind the hotel. Nice, basic, but practical room. Big table. Really appreciated the comfortable armchair. Nice view from the last floor. Good WiFi. Lovely and helpful staff. Luggage storage. The reception/ restaurant area is often full of people and a very lively space, but up in the room it was quiet.

The room temperature. The heater was barely warm. The room wasn't unbearably cold, but it was certainly uncomfortable when out of bed. There was an extra blanket in the closet, but the problem was when out of bed. No power outlet close to the bed head, so I ended up with cables stretched across the room.

The location is great and the breakfast was delicious, with a lot of options to choose from. I requested a room near the elevator and I got one without any problems or additional costs. The staff is very kind and ready to help.

I have only stayed for one night; everything looked great for me. I cannot really tell where the faults are, as I didn't notice any. So maybe next time, if I'll have a longer stay at this hotel, I will be able to write more in this field.

Like before great rooms with everything you need. Great breakfast buffet. Very friendly staff. We stay often there.

We asked long before in advance for quiet rooms because we had very early departure. What we got were two rooms directly in front of the elevators. After longer discussion we could change one room but not the other. Parking is a disaster at this hotel. A longer way on really ice. Walking was very dangerous even for Sweden. Breakfast starting too late on weekends. A lot of people waiting for opening on Sunday morning.

As a tea drinker, tea kettle was included in the room which was truly nice. The room was quiet, odorless, clean sheets, nice beds, tasty breakfast, ca 2km from the city, next to hospital. Slept very well and the blankets on top of bed were extra nice. Recommending highly.

The hospital was next building where some patients may or may not make occationally noises outside. Nothing to be scared of just prepaired that's all.

Visited a conference at the University in June 2023, Hotel Bjorken is ideally suited for this purpose, it was only 5 minutes walk to the conference. A frequently serviced bus stop is immediately in front of the entrance, but I preferred to walk downtown after the conference (about 20 minutes). Airport is 4.4 km away. I received a double room for single occupancy. It was easy to guess where the furniture came from (a large Swedish manufacturer...). Room was equipped with a refrigerator. The bathroom was somewhat frugal: seamless PVC-flooring leading directly into the shower, only a shower curtain, no tiles but seamless plastic panelling in the shower. But everything worked fine. Breakfast had international standard, with a swedish twist (herring, lingonberry jam, kaviar creme). I lunched and dined twice in the hotel: typical Swedish homestyle cooking, very affordable (110 SEK).

Maybe the neon lamp in the bathroom could be changed to LED. It had a slight reaction time (switch-hmm-pling-light), and gave the ghastly white illumination oftentime found in changing cabins in retail, which does nothing for your complexion ;-)

Motorcycle friendly hotel - parking for free in front of the hotel! Very nice and helpful staff. Plentiful breakfast (except omlet everything was tasty).

Electric plugs were in random places in the room (could not charge my phone on the bedside table), BUT they provided extension cord, so all good!
