Lovely fun location I did enjoy my interaction with the staff as well

I stayed in one of the round capsules room and could not get accustomed to the temperature; having ac on at night made it expressly cold as it’s literally just above the bed and without ac the room got extremely hot (as it was tiny). In my experience, while the rooms look cute on the outside, they were very not practical

The location on the beach is perfect with directions access and great sunset views. Cocktail of the day offers were great and staff were very friendly and helpful.

I stayed in a private room with shares bathroom facilities. The room was great and air-conditioning was perfect. The shower handles were broken and hard to use and hard to get a good temperature of water out of. Also they looked like they could dou with a deep clean or retiring. Not unusable but knocked points of being 10/10.

The cylinder room was much better than I had expected. Definitely worth it to stay on the beach. It was kind of like glamping. The location was great and the NYE party was fun. It was also quiet at night which I was not expecting. Would recommend to a friend.

The bathrooms flooded and were closed most of our stay. The showers did not have a good place to put clothes and towel. The tikibar also randomly closed. A hook in the cylinder would have made a significant difference as there was no place to hang wet towels or bathing suits.

This is an amazing all-in-one hostel for beginner as well as more experienced surfers. It’s located right in front of a surf break! It pretty much has anything you might need on a surf vacation - showers by the beach, bar+restaurant with pretty good choice and quality of food, pool, massage cabinet, yoga mats as well as yoga classes and other free activities, a coworking space and more! They offer beginner surf lessons and some soft top and short boards for rent. But I was able to find a hardtop longboard at a rental 5min walk away.

- Pillows, as well as pillow cases are pretty bad. They are big and firm pillows, that are quite uncomfortable for sleep on. Also the pillow covers are really old and pilled - really tough to touch. If only the hostel provided better quality softer and flatter pillows, it would add 50% to comfort. - Coffee at the bar costs $7 but isn’t great at all.

The location, right on the beach, was excellent, safe, and easy to find. We enjoyed the breakfast, the bar, the pool, and watching the iguanas! We also were happy that we could check out at 11, but continue to store our luggage and use the facilities until our transport back at 3pm.

The bar floor was being repaired, one of the communal washroom's sinks was broken, one of the showers had a door that didn't lock, the communal fridge was unplugged/not available.

Miguel, the salsa instructor, was the highlight of my trip. I don’t speak any Spanish but he invited me and everyone at the pool to join his salsa class and he made me feel so welcome. I have never danced salsa before and neither of us could understand each other’s language but still he was an incredibly warm and amazing teacher! I also loved the guests who joined the class that night. My room was very clean and the bathrooms were well kept. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Selina Jaco is conveniently located right on the beach! If you love surfing this is the place to go! Selina rents out boards when tides are good and after a morning in the swell you can kick back at the pool or bar or join one of their many included activities like yoga classes. They also have daily “coconut time” where you can get a coconut to drink out of included in your stay. We stayed in one of their cylinder rooms which is perfect for a single person or couple to sleep in. Air conditioning worked excellent.

While we enjoyed traveling the streets of Jaco, I think we could have simply stayed at Selina Jaco all day and been content. The rooms are small but efficient, the pool is right on the beach, there's a bar for beverages and a menu for meals/snacks. You literally step off the hotel property right onto the beach! The hotel has a light and funky hostel/hotel feel with couples, families and solo travelers all staying there. We took free salsa classes and rented beach bikes for just $10 a day. WE LOVED OUR STAY!

The location, easy to book surfing lessons, the pool area is nice. Room was tidy. Good to have events to go to and nice to socialise. Great vibes at the hostel compared to other places.

Its not cheap. Room is very small, but its ok as its a micro room, so we knew it would be. The toilet was making a squeeling noise all night and woke us up. We told reception and no one did anything about it. It wasn't also the first time someone reported it.

It's a great hostel with a pool by the beach, you have everything you need, we also had some salsa class, they have nice drinks at the bar, rooms are clean, they Include a washroom with shower, I was happy to choose this place, I met new people :)

The A/C in the room was super cold, too much of a difference with the tempersture outside, I got sick from it, I was sleeping in leggins and a hoody
