The hotel lies on a hill overlooking fields of land with plenty of nature in the outside of Rome. The receptionist, Beatrice, was wonderful in accommodating our needs. She facilitated our movements to the city by providing us with a driver named Angela. This lady was charming and so helpful. We enjoyed the drives with her; always on time and price reasonable. We dined several times at the Taverna; the main restaurant in the hotel. There, Omar was excellent. He made recommendations on the dishes that were right on the dot. The food was great along with their red and white wines. The rooms were beautiful, quiet and you can hear the birds chirping in the morning. The hotel has several gardens touched with beautiful details and flowers. When you walk around in the area, you smell the sweet scent of flowers that makes the place romantic and enchanting. I would recommend this place very much.

Needed to use taxi to move in and out of the place; which I found it dangerous considering the crazy way they drive in Rome

Breakfasts were good and the staff were delightful. Wifi connection was perfect throughout. Restaurant on site was excellent and not particularly expensive compared with other places as some have suggested. Majors as a beautiful wedding location. Bathroom and shower good.

it was very hot during my stay, so I needed to keep the air conditioning on, which meant I had to keep the window shutters closed nearly all the time.

Unfortunately, we didn't have time to get breakfast as we had a flight to catch but it's a great location, not far from the airport but feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful views, beautiful property which I imagine is even better in the summer. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to others.

The only downside from our stay was the bed, the mattress was quite uncomfortable and there was a fairly large gap between the metal bed frame and the decorative gold bedframe.

Lovely grounds with beautiful sunsets. The room we were in was small, but there was an area right outside the door to sit. If you are traveling by car and leaving the next day out of FCO this would make a good place to stay. There is a restaurant on site. The food was fine. The place was quiet and peaceful.

Could not get the AC to work.

Staff was very welcoming! Restaurant was closed when we arrived (around 8:30 pm). So we were required to travel down hill about 1 km to other restaurant on property. Not so big of a deal other than pain to lug our luggage up flight of stairs to room and turn back around to go another kilometer to get food. Understand though it is off season so we know things close differently this time of year. More of inconvenience but not a deal breaker! Restaurant below in the morning made up for it with great coffee and food! Staff was very accommodating and allowed us to leave late in morning free of charge and was very pleasant.

Room had French doors to no where. They open to no balcony, just a view of random trees. Not a major deal just strange. Never could get a/c to come on so we left doors (with no bug screen) and bathroom window open to keep air circulating.... was a little stuffy... but again we were so tired don't think we noticed...also only one night for us so don't base your decision on just one minor complaint.

Nice hotel not that far from Rome Airport. Old world charm and very nice staff. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent

AC did not work that well and the room was a bit hot. Also the electrical plugs were old and would not accommodate our adapters

Beautiful scenery, lovely building and the rooms. Very clean. Lovely staff.

Only 1 key per room was a little frustrating. The shower drain was blocked so would spill onto the floor, so had to waste towels mopping up.

Really pretty accommodation in an ancient property. Good breakfast with proper scrambled eggs. Stunning location Rural. Take blackouts for sleeping as the light is strong.

The pool doesn’t look nice but is nice to be in. The water is warm from being in the sun so long.

Easy to find, good directions given in email and thru GPS. Gorgeous grounds and buildings. Very nicely maintained. The scent of rosemary as you walk up the drive to your room is wonde4ful

Very small room with a limited room.

Breakfast was perfectly fine. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist Roberta who assisted us in getting a taxi to our next destination. Due to the remoteness of the hotel, transportation must be booked a day in advance. From the suites there's a nice vista of the Castrum Boccea estate and the surrounding countryside.

Transportation is difficult to obtain, and very expensive. I strongly suggest that guest rent their own cars and explore the countryside. Assuming you feel comfortable with Italian drivers on narrow roads, that is.
