Gorgeous historic hotel in the heart of boerne. Love the layout of the cabins and suites, the history of the hotel, and the furnishings. Very elegant and special.

This was situational, but we stayed in a regular room- 2 queens by the pool. This was a connecting room that we weren’t using g as such. We could hear our neighbors as if they were in our room. Full, clear conversations. We turned up the television so that they couldn’t hear us or we couldn’t hear them. Unfortunately, our neighbors stayed up talking until 2:30am.

The Texan was very roomy and comfortable. The whole place was very quiet and relaxing. Landscaping was beautiful and there were many areas to sit and relax and were under canopies of the trees so plenty of shady areas.

Our room, The Texan, had an annoying barn door which was difficult to maneuver. Toilet paper was cheap, one ply. For the price of the room, should have better quality toilet paper. Would be nice to have a small fridge and microwave however it does have a wine chiller so that was useful. The tub was cute but hot water didn’t work and tub isn’t comfortable. Would have preferred a better functioning tub.

Desk staff was especially friendly and helpful the whole stay. When we got there the evening clerk walked us to our room, in the middle of the night the night clerk got me Gatorade for my daughter when I had concerns about the water, and in the morning the morning clerk followed up with me about the water incident just to make sure I felt assured it was addressed.

The room took a while to cool down. It was a sweltering summer day and we didn’t check in until 10 pm so the ac unit had been up at 75 until we got to the room and turned it down and since it faces the opposite side of the room as the bed, it took quite a while before it was comfortably cool.

The Kendall is a beautifully kept historic property with so much charm. The owners have kept it true to its history yet have nicely updated modern bathrooms. Location is the best, right across from the town square and restaurants. The staff is very helpful and friendly. If you want to really experience Boerne this is the place to stay.

The window AC units are a little noisy but I don’t know any hotel with rooms under $400 nt that doesn’t have noisy AC.

Suggestion don't get in the pool after dark. Unless you want your outty to be an inny , and I ain't talkin' 'bout your belly button... Room was in garden court just a few feet from the inviting pool , that's a trick especially after dark. 🥶🥶🥶. I would love to stay a few days there to get a better feel for this beautiful place. The freezing pool 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

Now husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. We called on our way about parking and was given immediate answers even though it was late at night. Check in process was easy and the front desk guy said because it was our wedding night, he would bring us a complimentary bottle of wine or champagne. When we returned from parking the car and getting bags, he told us the room we reserved had a full bed but we could upgrade to a bed with a queen and claw foot tub for no extra charge which we thought was great that he even mentioned it to us. He showed us to our rooms and made sure we were happy with everything. Room was cute and soaking in the tub was a great way to end a crazy but amazing day. Check out process was easy and the property is beautiful.

I loved the historic charm, the location of the hotel, the comfort and cleanliness.

I didn't like that the lady in the lobby didn't know how to turn on the outdoor fireplace and had a guest figure it out. He struggled in the beginning but was able to turn on the fireplace by rummaging and looking for wood, leaves and sticks. Hotel did not have a fire starter. Same issue with the outdoor heater. Lady in lobby didn't know how to turn it on so my brother in law figure it out. The heater quickly ran out of propane.

The beautiful location next to the Cibolo Creek Trail. This property is wonderfully landscaped and the trees are amazing. Everything is situated splendidly!

The paper thin walls in the building we stayed in on this property. There are many different types of buildings-hotel style to single housing styles and buildings that host several rooms in a row. We were awaken by a toddler and her mommy at 6:30 a.m. We could understand and hear their entire conversation and it was loud enough that we needed to drown them out by turning on the loud bathroom fan and our air conditioner.

Our accommodations were met, and the Kendal associates were kind and courteous. We enjoyed walking around and exploring the historical building and the antique furniture. I loved the preservation of the other buildings that were not attached yet designed as bedroom suites as well. The restaurant "Peggy on the Green" was pleasant and the food delicious. The walkway attached leads to the Guadelupe river, where the ducks and other wildlife thrive. The shops nearby were lovely and interesting.

It was special, & charming. There was a wedding/reception in the courtyard but it was quietly & privately done. We walked to the shops & to the restaurant, cute shops, friendly people, grass green & flowers/trees blooming, while 2 blizzards of 2' snow & ice happened back home. We were celebrating our 38th Wedding Anniversary, so were given a bottle/wine...much appreciated.

There's no breakfast included. Our room was small, but we did move in a 2nd chair after asking the office 1st.
