Very nice hotel in Melaka and in a great location close to Jonker Street. Our room was very spacious with a river view and balcony, with good storage for both clothes and luggage. Very comfortable room and super infinity pool on the roof of the hotel with about 10-12 sun loungers and a small pool bar. Great views of Melaka from the pool! Very helpful front desk staff who were happy to offer advice on sightseeing and restaurant recommendations.

The restaurant was not as good as other similar hotels we had stayed in on our trip. At breakfast staff spoke very limited English which led to some confusion over breakfast egg orders and the buffet, whilst fairly extensive, was more suited to the Asian traveller (it’s their county after all) than perhaps Europeans. We didn’t eat in the restaurant for dinner as the menu didn’t look very exciting.

From checking in to checkout, experience was smooth as silk, friendly & professional. This is our home away from home due to the brilliant location, on the river & the fabulous views. We were here before, this time we brought friends with us who are promising to return next year. Great proximity to shops & cultural exhibits. Ade & Hafiz are exceptional with their warm & helpful welcome. Room was exceptionally styled with fabulous private balcony views, very clean & room service was very attentive. We'll certainly be back.

This is my 1st time staying at this hotel. Definitely one of the best hotel I have ever been so far. The hotel decorated my room for my anniversary with towel swans and complimentary cake even though it was a last minute request. Thank you very much. It has made my day! At night, when we came back to the room after tiring ATV ride and dinner at Klebang beach, we were greeted with lovely aroma from the essential oils. The housekeeping has came to our room in the afternoon to make up the room and lit the candels for the oils. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable and i love the design of the room so much. It's giving old spanish charm. Love the breakfast selection and we get to order our eggs and roti canai made to order. The food was yummy too. It was a grear experience. Thank you.

Maybe we can have more trees at the rooftop pool for more shaded area and more greenery like an oasis.

Location is the best when compared to Hatten, Courtyard, or Pines Hotel. The room is spacious, and the toilet is big with a bathtub and standing shower. I had the river view. My bed configuration was an extra king for 2 slim adults and a young kid. It's super spacious. The hotel attended to my request to change to this bed configuration even though I booked a 2 single beds via Bookings.com. Thumbs up for the staff! The entire facility is basically clean and well maintained. The staff were hospitable and helpful. It has a jetty to pick up passengers for the river cruise. Their rates are slightly cheaper. The breakfast spread was reasonable and good. On top of the usual buffet spread, there's also a breakfast menu where you can order Casa Breakfast, Egg Benedict, etc. The proximity to Jonker Street and the Red Square is a mere 5 mins walk from the lobby! You can go there daily for all your favourite local or peranankan food.

There's nothing really that I dislike about. However, the nightlife across the river can be annoying as the noise goes beyond 12 midnight. It seems some weekends even go to 1am! If you got a chance to read my sharing, do ask the staff for advice on a better night and facing before booking to avoid any annoyances.

Dear Casa Del Rio Hotel Melaka Team, Tysm for making our 35th wedding anniversary a memorable occasion. We had a nice surprise when we entered our room, appreciate your team effort. Friendly front desk staff during checked in & checked out - En.Redzuan, En.Ariff, En.Ali, Ms Nana and the rest of the staff there. So sorry, couldn't remember all the names 🙏 Fast service from the housekeeping team too. Request a few times mineral water plus some amenities. Friendly server and nice sumptuous breakfast prepared by the Kitchen staff. Nice soup noodles & tomyum noodles which is not too spicy. They also have A La Carte Menu for you to order together with the breakfast buffet spread. Initially, we taught we had to pay extra. So, we clarified with the server and was told that it's inclusive with the breakfast of the day. I ordered the roti canai which is nice, crispy and not oily plus dhall gravy. We also ordered the Kopitiam Boiled eggs set. You can choose either soft or hard boiled eggs. Note : Hope they can put some indication on the A La Carte menu that it is inclusive with the breakfast of the day 😁 Location wise, very strategic. Near to all the main attractions, within a few minutes walking distance especially for elderly guest like us. We had an enjoyable staycation here. Many thanks.

The Casa Del Rio Hotel is a 1 minute walk from the famous historical Jonker Street & various other UNESCO heritage sites. The hotel sits on the banks of the river that runs through Melaka. The perfect location for anyone coming to Melaka. The staff were incredible and helped us with our elderly parents throughout our visit. The breakfast was amazing and had so many things to choose from on their buffet, in addition they had a menu with a list of their specialities which were made to order such as roti canai, eggs benedict, omelette, scrambled eggs, Nasi Lemak, to name just a few.

The rooms are so big and very comfortable for my family and it was overlooking the Melaka river which was gorgeous. The hotel had a gym, spa and swimming pool which was so great. I loved the whole ambiance of the room and the whole hotel, which had the old Medieval castle and historical vibe. The was the perfect location as it was walking distance to all the tourist spots, Jonker market at night and also the surrounding bars for us to have one or 2 drinks before turning down. We didn't need the car the whole time we were there and walked everywhere. So many great food locations around as well. The hotel parking was free as well.

I was disappointed that the bathroom shower was not working too well and the breakfast taste was not up to par. However, could not complaint of anything else.

Location - our room had a view from our balcony of the river, boats plying to and fro and the Christmas festivities. The hotel was in an excellent location - just round the corner from Jonker Walk, weekend night market, very many eateries, shops, historical sites, river cruise and pleasant walks along the river. The river walk for the general public did not appear to extend round the hotel so there was privacy and security for hotel guests which was appreciated. Staff helpful and friendly.

Vuz the head chef made me a Chicken Rendang for breakfast. Just because another member of the team told him I asked, where locally I could find one as it wasn't clear. The reception went out of their way with advice and as we left actually took postcards to be posted to the post office for us because we had an early start to drive up to Ipoh. Very kind.

Not much

The staff helped change our room in the middle of the night (around midnight) to a room without any smell and fumes of varnish, which was irritating to the eyes and skin.

The room floor had just been varnished, and perhaps the room SHOULD NOT have been open for guests to stay for a few more days. We were out walking around Melaka during the day, and did not notice the floor varnish volatile fumes until we got back at night.
