SURELY A REPEAT STAY …TOHV (The One Holiday Vacation) is well-visited but kept clean, well functioning n quick host response. Host Stephen does his best to accommodate special requests. We stayed for 4 nites in the Superior room. One can tell it isn’t a new establishment - However, cleanliness and comfort is top-notch. The bed was firm and sheets were clean. The toilet and shower facility was good and comfortably ventilated. We had an issue with setting up the entertainment system - But this was resolved speedily by Steven, who came out of his way to assist. A big positive of this is it’s location - Jonker street and the river are within walking distance (10 minutes) or a short car drive. Do not miss the briyanis or naans at Pak Putra restaurant 5-minutes away ( a little price-y on local standards, but excellent and authentic North Indian fare for the price.) Sumptuous meals there! 😋

Excellent location. Very kind, polite, patient host, Steven. Even though my flight was delayed and I reached at a late hour, Steven waited for me and proceeded to give me a thorough orientation to the apartment and his beautiful historic city in a humorous fashion. The apartment is less than 5 minutes' walk from Jonker Street and the riverside, and despite that, it is a very quiet location. The air-conditioning was strong. The wifi signal was very good with fast service. The shared kitchen was perfect for my needs. The water dispenser saved us the trouble of buying bottled water, besides reducing plastic waste. There was adequate storage space in the room, which made excellent use of the available space. The room had a projector TV. Water temperature and force in the bathroom were good.

The house is at a very convenient and quiet location, very close (5-10' walking) to Chinatown and the old part of Melaka. The host was very helpful, descriptive and a fun person. He also took us to the bus station when we checked out which we really appreciated. The room was with a private bathroom, small but convenient for 1-2 nights. It was very clean with the necassary amenities.

One thing I didn't like was the fact that in the bathroom the toilet is at the same space as the shower. I know this is not uncommon in some Asian countries but it is really messy and some sort of separation of the two is always necessary.

I loved this guest house with all the very modern facilities in an authentic neighborhood a few meters from the tourist center!! It was exceptional!!! Steven greeted me as if I had known him forever. He is fantastic. Ready to be of service to you, to explain the history of Melaka, things to do, where to eat. I followed some of his restaurant recommendations and was not disappointed. He sent me to a place where I ate noodles like I had never eaten before. And all this with his own humor. He even offered to take me back to the bus station free of charge. I hope to see him again one day and stay in his dream guest house!!!

1. The hospitality of the host ofcourse. Steven Yong is such a wonderful, humorous and cheeky host 😁. He recommended many local food to us on check in day, tough we couldn't try it all in the course of 1 and half day visit 😅. And on the morning of the check out day, he DRIVED us to Melaka Sentral himself for free. Thank you so much Steven 🙏👊. 2. The location is just a stoneaway from Malacca center point and Jonker food area, as you visit Malacca for food ofcourse Hehe. A few minutes walking, your eyes treated with Malacca River and one the famous 17th century European historical site and building area in Malaya. 3. The facilities is nice and complete. Besides the privacy and the comfort of your bedroom, you can use and enjoy all the shared facilities such as bathroom , kitchen utensil & dishes, microwave, drinking water freeflow, free complimentary coffee-sugar-instant cupnoodles, washing machine and ironing, umbrella, all in good and clean condition. If you stay longer I'm sure that'll be helpful. Overall I enjoy my stay so much 😊.

We felt like we're home. The place is just over the top. Steven was so friendly. He was waiting for us with a big smile on his face. He even prepared the map of Malacca with the whole highlights of the city. He explained every detail about the places we have to visit. We got from him a few addresses of different kind of restaurants in the city cuz we're vegetarian. You can use the wash machine and the fridge for free. There is also hot and cold water for drinking. The location is just in the heart of the city. Finally he drove us to the main bus station. You will never regret your staying at the one vacation home. Thanks Steven for everything!

Steven was the best host I have had so far. What a dude. I arrived late, he showed up without compaints. I only stayed one night, but he still explained all fun activities to me. I was allowed to leave my bags after check-out. And best of all: he brought me to the bus station (20 min drive!), even though he didnt need to. Awesome man! He made Melaka awesome for me. The homestay is awesome too. Very clean, extremely comfortable bed, good facilities (free coffee, noodles, tea, etc.). Very close to the center, a few minutes to walk. A lot of nice restaurants nearby. Melaka was absolutely amazing, and this accommodation is a big part of the reason. I'll be back.

This's a cosy nice place to stay in Melaka. The house's located in a small local street, only 7-10 mins away from Jonker walk. Easy to go everywhere. The neighbourhood is quiet and the people there are very friendly, not because we're tourists but because they're kind. The house is spacious, has everything you need as a traveller or if you want to stay some days away from busy cities. By the way, the most excellent for us was not the house, but the host. Steven didn't even make his house to be comfortable for his guests, but also made his guests comfortable. You can easily contact him and he answers very fast. He told us important things about travelling in Melaka and suggested a lot of good local restaurants. We loved the small Satay place that's very close to the house, just 1-2 mins to walk. Steven also took us to a massage parlour in the centre and brought us to the bus station on the day we checked out. Would recommend.

I had a great stay at this accomodation, very close to city centre. Has basics/essentials facilities for any traveler and affordable for someone on a budget. Steve it's an amazing host, friendly and gave me really good tips on where to go and eat. He kindly let me do an early check in and even drop me off at the bus station without charging me extra. I highly recommend this place.

We loved staying at One Vacation Home! It really was home from home. Steven is an exceptional host, made us feel welcome, and advised us on places to find vegetarian food and how to book our onward travel. He even gave us a lift to Malacca Central bus terminal when we were leaving so we could catch a bus to KL. Thank you Stephen for all your hospitality
