I had a wonderful experience at Dusit Princess. From the very first step into the hotel, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. Everyone was professional, kind, and well-trained. A special thank you goes to Mr. Hafiz and Mr. Shah for arranging a lovely surprise birthday celebration for my husband and daughter. The hotel’s location is also very strategic, making it easy to reach most of the main attractions in Malacca. Dusit Princess will certainly be our preferred choice whenever we come to Malacca. Not to forget, the breakfast buffet was also impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options.

I stayed in this building back when it was the Ramada Hotel, and it brought back memories of the post-MCO period. The location is highly strategic, offering convenient access to all the areas I planned to visit. Additionally, Grab transportation was readily available, making it even more convenient to get around.

As Dusit continues to transform the building, the room refurbishment is still a work in progress. The room I stayed in, 2112, had an issue with water flowing onto the bathroom floor. While it’s not a major problem, it would be great if the hotel could look into the overall condition of the room. Apart from that, everything else was satisfactory, and my stay was pleasant.

Relatively accessible location if you're driving. Hop and skip to the heritage area, parking was easy within the building, sheltered and with security so nothing to worry about. Staff are very well trained and helpful, front desk and club lounge guys were very pleasant. Pool is great for the kids with 2 slides to keep them occupied. A literal 1 minute walk out of the lobby and to the right will have you face to face with some wonderful local food options. Packed coffeeshops with queues during breakfast and lunch hours but they tend to shut by late afternoon so no real supper options close by other than a mamak. Will definitely be back if driving through the state again.

A bar or food menu at the pool area would have been wonderful. If kids had access to some fries and there were beers available, would definitely have spent more time there ... but perhaps there's not enough demand for that and most folks tend to head out and walk about.

What an incredible hotel. This was the perfect end to a 2-week stay in Malaysia. Our room (Executive King) was lovely - very spacious, huge comfy bed, bathroom with shower and bath, and great views over the historic centre and out to the sea. The breakfast was very good, with a great choice. The pool is huge and we had it to ourselves for a lot of the time. The Exec lounge area is comfy with a nice choice of refreshments. The hotel is easy walking distance to China Town, Jonker Street and the historic centre. But most of all, the staff were truly wonderful. Thank you to Douglas, Hilmi, the breakfast manager, the lovely lady from reception, and the doormen. You all made this stay very special, despite us feeling a little sad at the end of our holiday and after saying goodbye to our son who is off to work and travel in Australia for a year. The perfect end to a lovely holiday. I hope we get to come back.

The staff was great! From the manager, to the ones manning the reception counter, the concierge, the doormen, the f&b staff, the ones taking care of the pool and the ones cleaning our room, they were all superb! The hotel has been nicely refurbished and everything in the room worked well. The location of the hotel is strategic. It was close to the river and to eateries and grocery stores. The view from our room was superb. It faces the bend of the river and Kampung Morten. At night when it was all lit up, it was beautiful😍.

I wouldn't say that this is something that I don't like.. it is more of something that needs to be checked. We stayed in room 1003, 1004, and room 1005. The Qiblat pointer in room 1003 was pointing in a different direction.

i told the staff i was there for birthday / just married. they told me it is due to hotel availbility to fulfill the requests so i did not expect anything from the hotel. but when i went to my room, it was a corner quiet room and there were decorations balloons, swans and rose petals in the room. i was so surprised and happy to see it. the staff there are all so friendly and warm and hospitable. the room i stayed in was bigger than normal rooms. happy with my room !

the lobby is abit outdated but the rooms are newly renovated and new. the hotel is clean and smells good. breakfast selection is quite limited.

The refurbished rooms are pretty large compared to other 5 star hotel in Melaka ( if there is any). The new swimming pool is good and probably the only one with a deep end at 2.7 m depth. The gym is pretty good with large space , fairly equipped with weights and machines, and the high ceiling is nice.

While this is a fairly new management of the hotel but I would expect better trained staff from the Dusit brand. It was obvious some of the staff were either ignorant of the process and confused. For example, the new parking system , I was given 3 different interpretations on how to endorse my free parking fee. It was solved by one front desk staff and his name is Putera.Shout out to Putera. Other staff was trying but their knowledge are lacking or maybe confusing. Hopefully Dusit can pay more attention to training the staff.

Definitely has improved the service since my last stay in February. The staff are more well trained. Special mentioned to front desk, Helmi, who greeted me as he recalled my last stay. That is a nice touch.

The swimming pool.was going through some issue with the water where apparently there was lacked of certain chemical supply causing the water to be greenish murky. But still able to swim. Do take note to ensure such incidents does not happen in 5 stars hotel.

The best thing about staying here is the staff. Ashleigh at the front desk was sharp, quick, and polite. Cassandra in F&B is always ready to assist and very knowledgeable. On December 4th, a gentleman who was handling the F&B closing even paid for my coffee (thank you, and I’m sorry I couldn’t catch your name). The room is spacious, newly refurbished, and clean. The pool is large, and lifeguards are present at all times. The breakfast buffet is average. Parking is free of charge with no bureaucracy—simply park and leave, with no need for validation or anything else. Body wash to die for.

The variety at the breakfast buffet is somewhat limited compared to other similar 4-star hotels in Melaka

The check-in and check-out process is great to have service that is friendly and polite. We were impressed when we got to our room on the space and view. Overall, it is well located, clean and amenities were topped up daily, our room attendant kept it feeling new. Booking.com facilitated our search to find and book this beautiful location. We now wonder what the other tiers of Dusit Princess offer.

Missed out on some of the high-tea specials, this is because of our timing and duration of stay.
