We had such an amazing time at Majestic Hotel Melaka! From the moment we arrived until the moment we checked out, we felt so well taken care of. The staff were absolutely incredible, so warm, friendly, and genuinely thoughtful. They made us feel welcome right away and were especially sweet to our 6-year-old, which meant the world to us as parents. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a charming colonial-style building that gives off such a warm and cosy vibe. It’s elegant, yet still super comfortable and relaxed, just the perfect blend. One of the highlights for us was definitely the breakfast. Instead of a buffet, they offer a lovely à la carte menu with great choices. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. Do try the Portuguese egg,it’s almost like shakshuka, and I absolutely loved it! Our room was peaceful and comfortable, with fluffy pillows and a great bed that made for a restful night. The water pressure was excellent, and soaking in the tub was such a relaxing treat after a day out, and they do provide bath salt for soaking, and the shower amenities are spa quality. But honestly, what stood out the most was the exceptional service. Every single staff member we met was kind, attentive, and genuinely made an effort to ensure our stay was memorable. You can really feel that they care, and that kind of hospitality is rare these days,it truly warmed our hearts. We’re so glad we chose Majestic Hotel Melaka and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a special and meaningful getaway!

It will probably be great to update the TV into Smart TV with Netflix connectivity for some guests who enjoy staying in the room.

Very charming Boutique hotel, well modernised having preserved a lot of character. Beautiful rooms and bathrooms. Ample secure parking, just by the hotel. Excellent service by caring staff. Good restaurant serving a selection of national and international dishes. Breakfast cooked to order and served individually. Nice pool. Good location, close to the historical centre (10 mn on foot) but away from the crowds and noise.

In a "vintage" structure, sound carries through the walls, including plumbing noises.

Clean, quiet, peaceful. It evokes the quaint colonial style of furnishing, something different from the usual modern hotels. The hotel staffs are friendly, helpful and accomodating. Parking is located behind the hotel, with side entrance connected. The place is situated close to a lot of tourist places/attractions.

Preferably more convinient items in room, like a make up mirror, or basic ironing equipment/ services. Shower head, faucets are a little worn/loose, will require maintainance

This hotel was gorgeous. Everything from the foyer (lobby), the room, the view and the location was perfect. It is located a little outside the main tourist area, but it is only a short and very pleasant river walk away. The staff were exceptional. We actually enjoyed being a little bit away from the main tourist area as it does get very crowded.

Over the weekend, the hotel was very busy, and the staff at breakfast seemed to be struggling to cope with the numbers. Maybe if guests were able to get their own tea and coffee at breakfast that may help.

The Majestic Malacca deserves its name through and through. The Beds are absolutely amazing and comfy, the staff, regardless of whether it is at the reception, housekeeping, our breakfast, is extremely attentive and will put a smile on your face, and the breakfast (only buffet) is absolutely wonderful. From small details like their absolutely cute and traditional Chinese tea pots to the extraordinary bath tub (which we did not use - but still!) this Hotel has a thought through concept that will make your stay as pleasant as it can get and will transport you to the colonial period it represents (this tries however by no means to glorify colonialism).

On our last day we were excited to have the absolutely wonderful breakfast buffet one last time only to realize that on this day it was an a la carte breakfast which is simply less than half as great of an experience starting from as simple as there is only around 9 to 10 choices and you don't get to try all the amazing food they otherwise have to offer. The hotel is also a little bit further from the center, it will take you around 10-15 minutes to get to the action. However we did not mind this at all and enjoyed these walks to and from a less crowded area.

A genuine heritage hotel. Location was perfect. Breakfast was excellent which offeres authentic delicious Peranakan cuisine. The room was very clean, however, the coffee machine was not totally cleaned when we checked in. There were lots of ground coffee inside the machine where capsules are placed.

There was only one socket available in the night table situated between the 2 beds. For two people staying in the room, the one socket was just insufficient. The TV is very old and the only English-speaking channel is AXN that shows 20 or 30-year old movies.

Impeccable service from all staff. The front bar is lovely; take advantage of the happy hour 5-7pm with two for one G&Ts mixed expertly by the experienced bar staff. Pool is small with only 6 lounges but fine for a quick dip and relax session. There is also a spa on site. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast and dinner are served upstairs and it gets quite busy! Staff do an excellent job taking care of guests. Note: there is a 24 hour laundromat a mere 70metre walk away, 25mins wash and 30mins dry! Make sure you have the right change for the token machine.

Bathroom is fine however some drainage issues with handbasin and water pooling on the ground from the shower.

The Majestic Hotel has always been my favorite place to stay in Melaka. It’s tucked away from the chaos of Jonker Street, yet still close enough to reach on foot. You can take a scenic walk along the river or wander through the town—both routes are equally enjoyable. The rooms are consistently clean and beautifully maintained. The facilities are excellent, and the staff are incredibly helpful, polite, and well-informed about the city and all it has to offer. The only thing I’d like to point out to the management is the bed—it looks plush and inviting, but unfortunately, it’s not as comfortable as it appears! A little upgrade in that area would make the stay absolutely perfect.

Room were clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Love this vintage hotel. Location is good. Near several eateries, especially for breakfast. My kids love it. The hotel's breakfast location isn't link to the hotel room building, one need to walk up the stairs to 2nd floor. Thus it is not so convenient for elderly with mobility issues, I have to book the library area (ground floor level) to allow my elderly parent to eat breakfast there.

The housekeeping staff need to be more thorough with their checks on room supplies, I was given a stained towel, my tissue box in the bathroom finished after 5 draws and my shower gel finished after 1 night stay with mt kids. I informed the check in counter staff and they quickly sent someone to top up the supplies while I was having breakfast with my family.

Our stay at The Majestic Malacca Hotel was an absolute delight. This beautifully restored colonial-style hotel is full of character and charm, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Whether lounging by the awesome pool, enjoying a drink at the great bar, or spending time in the excellent library, there’s no shortage of spots to enjoy and take in the peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant was superb, and the dining experience at dinner was equally impressive, with a great selection of dishes that matched the luxurious setting. The rooms were spacious and elegantly furnished, providing both comfort and luxury at great value. Located in the heart of old town Malacca, the hotel offers stunning views of the river and easy access to the city's historic sights. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to assist with any requests, adding a personal touch to our stay. If you're looking for a tranquil, character-filled getaway in Malacca, The Majestic is an excellent choice. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it to anyone.
