Very safe location with security guards whilst being across the road from the beach. Fabulous large very attractive pool. Absolutely stunning gardens and walk from reception past the accommodation to the restaurant. Beautifully lit up at night. Tranquil water features throughout. Large air conditioned bedrooms with private balconies in spaciously placed accommodation blocks of 2 floors only. Lift and stair access. All staff attentive, friendly and welcoming.

The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. Room was good and staff were very helpful. Excellent buffet breakfast. Pool very clean and it was just across from the lovely beach. Easy access to shops and various bars and restaurants.

They have people who go back year after year (as do my cousins) but the people who book direct with the hotel and request a certain room are given that room even if they have to move the person already in there. My cousins book through Booking.com in Australia and they were moved 3 times in the month they were there as returning people booking direct with the hotel are given priority

Great location right near the beach. Close to money exchanger and atm. Nice and local. Great spa across the road.

The day bed pool hogs. Lots of oldies getting up and putting towels on the pool beds and holding them when they aren’t even using them. The staff need to implement a rule if your not sitting on the day bed or using the beds while swimming then you can’t reserve it. It was the only really annoying thing about it. Every single day the people were putting towels sometimes on multiple beds in shade and sun for their seats all day. This needs to be policed by the hotel better!

Best staff ever, tons of kindness and flexibility from the reception to the restaurant, they're amazing! Very convenient location near the best restaurants, Legian Pantai, Double Six Beach and Kuta as well! Tina from the reception desk was the kindest person I met in Bali and she helped me on many occasions! Hotel Kumala Pantai is definitely my second home. The breakfast is perfect and the pool area service is excellent!

I guess the hotel could think about doing a retrofit in the near future.

Beautiful property with lush green tropical gardens. Great location on Legian beach. We had the Junior suite which was huge, clean and comfortable. Day spa is fantastic and well priced. This resort does not do “plus plus” all Government and services taxes are already included in the prices. Very good value and a comfortable resort

The buffet breakfast was only small with far less choices than other resorts.

Location staff pool room food everything was amazing! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Bali I could not say a bad word!

Our second stay here as the location is walking distance to most places and the gardens are beautiful. The pools are amazing. All of the staff are so friendly. Breakfast is tasty and quite a good selection seating both inside and out. The rooms are a good size and we had a balcony overlooking one of the pools. The restaurant served tasty meals at a very affordable price. We ordered quite a few meals by the pool as it was cheaper than eating out and really nice.

The beds need replacing. Our mattress had pretty much collapsed on one side and my husband had to put a pillow on the edge to stop falling out of bed. It was so saggy and had a high Ridge in the middle. We complained the first morning and they just put another saggy topper on top, still useless as the mattress underneath was awful. After waking up each day with a sore back it will definitely make me think twice about staying here again, a pity as everything else is great.

Great location central to shops, cafes, bars, walked everywhere. Across the road from Legian beach. Hotel was lovely, very clean and comfortable, daily a la carte breakfast was fabulous and food in the evening was amazing with live entertainment. Staff very friendly and good service.

Very pretty grounds, nice spacious rooms. We felt well cared for while also having privacy. Lots of staff readily available, polite and helpful. Very close to a nice beach and plenty of restaurants/ shops. The hotel restaurant is also very nice (good pizza) with live music & fast service. Breakfast was also good :) Would definitely stay again!

Plumbing seems to be a bit of an issue everywhere in Bali. However, this was the nicest place we stayed at.

The hotel is large with amazing facilities. The bedrooms were a good size and bathrooms were clean and well maintained.. Breakfast is a variety of food and is great. The hotel is right across from Legian beach and is amongst a plethora of restaurants with the main shopping, Legian street, a five minute walk away. Seminyak is a 10min walk on the beach. We spent most of our time in the pool. The food ordered through pool bar was great and so was the service. The staff were lovely and you were always greeted. We normally stay in the Padma but wanted a change. We would normally pay around $6000 at the Padma but Kumala Pantai is now our favourite and priced incredibly low for what you get. There is a spa which is priced really well and the massages are amazing. You do have to keep in mind this is not a modern Hilton hotel it is extremely traditional and beautifully laid out with gorgeous gardens, paths and statues placed everywhere. If you want modernised, boring, culture less hotels you may want to look elsewhere but what appeals to most that go to Bali is the culture which this hotel is beautifully dripping in.
