Stayed just the one night, however had a very positive stay. We had dinner at the lodge which had a good range of options, a bit on the pricey side, but good food. We also had the included breakfast which was very generous. There are very nice grounds around the lodge, and it was easy walking distance into the township (we had a car, but like to walk). We also used the bar/lounge area which was well appointed - the staff were very friendly.

It was Summer and appreciate that few places have air-conditioning in the UK, however the rooms could have done with fans to keep things a little cooler (we didn't ask for a fan).

The staff are all fantastic! We love Colin! and I’m sorry I cannot remember the name of the lovely woman who took my daughter’s meds (that needed refrigeration), and secured them for us. Everyone was so helpful. And the chef - both the evening meal (Scottish mussels are so much more tender than NZ ones), and the amazing cooked breakfast - exceptional cuisine. We loved the Scottish food, yet also accommodating us and providing oat flat white coffee. We all loved our stay with you. THANK YOU ALL!

The suite we had had a quite strong floral aroma (maybe cleaning products) when we arrived. And no mini fridge in the in our room.

Lovely building and surrounding gardens. Staff were all very efficient and helpful. Window would not open and after reporting it was fixed in 10 minutes also due to 28 degree heat we were provided with a fan for the room. Evening meal was outstanding (I had chicken breast stuffed with bannana with malibu cream sauce). Breakfast was very good also. Cereal, toast, yogurt and lots of hot options. Colin on reception was outstanding and friendly. Room was small but very clean and suited our needs. Remember to book dinner table as restaraunt is busy. Reception helped with local taxi as we wanted to go out for a drink in banff before dinner. Only £5 each way which we found to be reasonable. Would recommend fife Lodge if you are in banff.

Fife Lodge was one of the nicest stays I've had. Everything was right: old world ambience combined with modern comfort: comfortable beds, efficient heating in the room, lovely bathroom with deep bath , ample tea/coffee tea and quiet (no noise from the bar) The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful, being a short walk to the town centre and harbour. The large front terrace, facing the garden, would've been perfect for a drink, if the weather gad been good, but we opted for one in the cosy bar. A great cooked breakfast included too. We'll make a point to stay here again!

We opted not to eat in the hotel restaurant as it was pricey.

The Fife Lodge Hotel was a great place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable, modern - special mention to the bedside lamps; the shower was fantastic and the bathroom products were excellent - you will need to bring a face cloth. The food onsite was great, breakfast was a real treat that did not hold back on its portions, and dinner was such hearty food, perfect for our celebration. And on that, as neither of us can take alcohol, the hotel was completely agreeable to chilling and serving the zero alcohol wine we brought with us.

Despite being near to a road it seemed very quiet and our room had a pleasant outlook across fields and trees. The room was a very generous size and the cleanliness was excellent. Both the evening meal and breakfast were of a very high standard. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

One or two small issues with the room which were reported when we checked out and I'm sure will be addressed. The restaurant was very noisy on the particular evening we were there due to a fairly large group meeting up (luck of the draw :)) With the benefit of hindsight we should perhaps have asked to move as there seemed to be plenty of tables available at the time. That's on us.

Our room was a little on the small side, especially the bathroom ( room number 3) although small it was comfortable for a 4 night stay

A friendly hotel with pleasant young owners and helpful staff. The hotel was busy with Christmas parties but that all added to the atmosphere. Food was well cooked and very wholesome. It was clear that a program of refurbishment was underway with the newly decorated all tastefully done.

On departure day breakfast we were pointed at the cold buffet but not shown to a table. We opted to sit at the same table as the previous day only to be told we had to move to another table very adjacent to the only other couple in the room as our table had been set for dinner. It would have easy for the waitress to swap a glass with a cup and leave us there but she insisted we move despite us having started our cereals. A shame because all the other staff were super helpful.

The Fife Lodge was exceptionally clean and the room was a lovely large bright room. All the facilities you would need for an overnight stay. All staff were extremely friendly and professional

The hotel was quite busy so it was a bit noisy with a dog barking till quite late. This however did quieten down and this would not put me off returning

We absolutely loved staying here. The staff (all women) were marvellous! So helpful, friendly and couldn't do more for us. We loved the bar area and the food in the restaurant was very good. We watched a baby deer and rabbits stroll through the garden as we ate our breakfast! The rooms are very spacious as is the bathroom.

Nothing really - we loved our stay here! Highly recommended for all travellers - couples and families.
