We had a lovely Scottish welcome from the lady in the bar. She gave us a tour of the hotel and was really friendly - even though we arrived quite late in the evening. Fantastic location with a clear sea view, and really near the beach. Free, safe parking right outside. Very comfy bed, excellent shower. Really lovely breakfasts with good variety. We enjoyed fruit salads, porridge, pancakes and full Scottish breakfasts. Excellent chef! Plenty of space - we had room 3. Great to have a blanket and plug-in radiator. And good to have a kettle and tea and coffee. Would have liked decaff tea, bigger cups and more supplies - a lovely touch to give us Tunnocks bars. Would have liked to have one every day, but we only had them on two out of four days. But a fab stay! Highly recommended!

We had a super time, we slept and ate well. Few minor things: Bathroom window was screwed shut - we were worried the shower steam might have set the fire alarm off. Would have also liked yogurts at breakfast. Thin wall - could hear the person next door snoring! GB news was on one morning - not great as most of it is made up. Had ITV the other days. Room servicing wasn't great on the last day. BUT these are all small things. Don't let them put you off coming here!

The receptionist was very cheerful, helpful and gave all relevant information, then I was shown to my room. Hotel looked to have undergone renovation and so the room was clean and fresh. Extra pillows in the wardrobe along with iron and ironing board, additional plug in heater etc. In all very well appointed as was the bathroom. Food in the restaurant was superb and reasonably priced, served by helpful, cheerful staff. Breakfast has a good offering to suit everyone and is served very quickly. In all a great stay. I will certainly use again in future.

Was not sure what to expect when we arrived, Rosehearty is a bit of a one horse town and the Davron the only place to stay, but the welcome was warm and friendly, checking in was easy and the room was a good size with a view of the street and if you look across you can see the shoreline. Strange thing was the TV mounted on the wall to the side of the bed, so if watching, you got a crick in the neck. But the room was warm and comfortable. Food being served in the function room was good especially breakfast with a good choice of dishes. Evening food was good, which is good as there is no other place to eat. Rosehearty is an interesting little village, a nice little walk around, so over all very enjoyable.

The positioning of the TV, very strange, but apart from that nothing that could be classed as a downer.

Staff really friendly, room lovely and clean and location was great for us as we were visiting family in Rosehearty. Bed was comfy, room had all the things you'd need (hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities, even a desk + chair, which some hotels don't bother with these days). Didn't have the breakfast because we had our meals with family each day, so can't comment on it. Would definitely stay here again :)

Hardly any issues - the only con was that the fire door to our bedroom didn't fully fit in the door jamb, so any slight movement, or having the window open a touch, meant that it rattled a bit and made noise, meaning we couldn't really have the window open while sleeping for some fresh air

We are regular guests, we enjoy the hotel and all its features. The reception is always friendly and answers any questions we have. The room is always very clean and warm when we arrived. We had dinner in the restaurant (fantastic gluten free options, we recommend the fish), breakfast was lovely, well prepared, tasted fantastic (gluten free options). We will continue to return to The Davron, it is our lovely get away in the north. Thank you so much your hospitality.

- Rooms / interieur are standard for a road-trip-hotel (not a problem for us, but might be for someone staying longer) - Talking of other guests can be heard quite easily in the rooms (nice of the hotel to provide free hearing protection)

Great hotel right on the coast for some lovely veiws. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the place was immaculate. We had booked 3 rooms as a group and were pleasantly surprised to find one of the doubles actually had a double and a single. The bathroom was lovely, with great facilities. Also love those toiletries. The breakfast was amazing, and although not laid out in buffet style like some places, you could still select a variety of hot and cold options off the fresh cooked menu. We also stayed for dinner on the first night and was lucky enough to catch their carvery night. Everything was lovely and everyone else in my family that chose the fish said it was some of the nicest they have tasted. Will definitely stay here again next time I am up that way.

The Davron hotel was very comfortable. We had a room with a fantastic view of the water. The beds were very comfortable (if you like semi-firm). The complementary breakfast was outstanding. It's not often you get to select from the menu. All in all a pleasant stay.

There is no lift (not surprising given the date of the building), so we had to carry luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Just something to be aware of.

Nice, clean and modern room. Easy parking right out front and staff went out of their way to help us (we arrived too late for lunch but the kitchen kindly opened early for dinner, and then later when we ordered some food take away the staff brought it to our room on a nice little tray).

A bit of noise from the pub down stairs but to be expected, they had provided ear plugs so we were prepared!

Lovely spacious immaculately clean room. Great view over the sea. Nice shower, bed linen and towels. Restaurant food was good and the breakfast was excellent.

Bar is basic and soulless. Didn’t feel like spending time there. Worst pint of Guinness ever. There is a small bar attached to the restaurant that could elevate the guest experience if it were promoted.
