We had an amazing stay please do not be fooled with the rugged exterior I personally found it gave it character, the inside is fresh, modern & very clean The staff big shout out to all the ladies you were all welcoming & so friendly The food was exceptional we had both breakfast & dinner here I would recommend the chicken satay wow that was an amazing dish Our room looked over to the harbour with stunning views and the beer garden was lovely to sit in Our room was lovely fresh & super clean We would highly recommend coming here !

The staff were friendly, the rooms had all the small extra touches just taking it up a notch on most hotels. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful you get a fantastic nights sleep. To top it all off the food is amazing.

I had a great stay and can’t think of anything negative to say at all

We stayed in one of the two executive room on the top floor. The room was superb, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Anyone who has read one of my reviews before knows that I take issue with the small details but I have no issues here. There is a coffee machine in the room with enough pods for anyone. The bathroom is huge with both a bath, and separate walk-in shower. The view is amazing and the bed, comfy. Now we get to breakfast, which is superb. Our waiter was very attentive and we wanted for nothing. Have the full Scottish or vegetarian breakfast, you’ll get the most fabulous potato fondant on your plate, along with all the usual accompaniments including haggis. I cannot fail this hotel for the cost.

There are some stairs with no lift and the car park is a little small, but for the money you pay, these things are forgiven.

We had a wonderful host, he was very attentive and made himself available 24 hours a day. Thankfully everything was great so we did not have to call him. The dining room was very busy, the food was great, definitely make a reservation. The location was a perfect stopping point for us as we made our way down the East coast. Our room had a lovely view of the ocean and harbor. It seemed more of a working harbor than touristy, but as we only needed a clean and comfortable room it worked perfectly for us. Don't let the outside fool you, it was very modern and seemed pretty new inside.

We loved this small, quirky hotel. Our room had a huge bathroom with a giant tub and separate shower. Incredible sea views. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. Maybe more importantly, the staff were delightful. So friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for more.

It was a little warm up on the top floor but the provided fan kept comfortable enough.

Finding this hotel was an unexpected gem. This hotel is located directly across from the sea. Check in was achieved via the restaurant, a very warm welcome greeted us on arrival. All staff were so friendly, very helpful dealing with food allergies and with early morning starts for breakfast. Restaurant food is truly excellent and deserves a higher rating. The best halibut I've ever had. Slept well in a very comfortable bed. An excellent shower in the ensuite. Bedroom is well equipped with toiletries, hair dryer, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Car parking is available at the rear of the hotel in a compact car park. We'll definitely be back.

Bar closed very quickly after dinner service. The staff did offer to take drinks to our room, but it would have been nicer to sit in the bar.

The staff were great and they called me two hours before arrival to ask if I wanted to reserve a table for dinner (this was a nice touch) and I am glad they did the food was amazing.

The entrance was not as inviting as I would have liked. A little off-putting, but immediately forgotten with great staff and food

Staff very very good always helpful ,dining room/bar area was very good, bit of a seaside theme and lovely and fresh.our room was rather small but had a fine large shower only 2 nights here so adequate for us.All in all very good and would stay again if in that area.

Everything. The place is immaculate, the bed comfortable, location ideal, menu is massive and the food top notch, nice pleasant staff, great value for money. Lovely breakfast. Would defo come back if visiting area again.

I didn't not like anything - all was great

Great view of the sea! The room was quiet, comfortable, spacious, updated, and smelled of wood. Tiki drinks and breakfast were great!

There was some mold and water damage in the bathroom near the window due to the proximity to the sea. Spare toilet paper roll was placed on top of some mold, which was a bit gross.
