The entire experience was highly satisfactory. Mr. Shubhojit personally assisted us ensuring Airport pick-up and promptly fulfilled all other requirements. We stayed for two nights. Found the room extremely spacious, clean and well maintained. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a comfortable stay in White town at the most central location. It is walking distance from the Promenade Beach. Villa Shanti serves à la carte breakfast (and not the typical spread out buffet) with three course meal in the complimentary breakfast. Seats are reserved on priority in the restaurant for the Hotel inmates. There are no lifts but the luggage is carried with warm hospitality by the hotel staff. I do not think that there is anything amiss while staying on this property. The ambience is fantastic and terrace is spacious. Overall a great experience. Mr. Subhojit is doing an excellent work in ensuring the smooth stay. He personally attends to the visitors with warmth.

The mattress on the bed can be improved. It is not uncomfortable by any standard. Nevertheless, it is not of the standard of a top class hotel which the property otherwise aspires in all aspects.

We travelled during the Navaratri festive, so had to go all veg. The options in Veg are quite limited. A fruit bowl, few croissants, one dosa option... all this made breakfast not something to cherish about. There were veg parathas but not to the taste you would like. We had our lunch there as well and must say, definitely a class apart. So my suggestion to hotel is to step up their breakfast menu as well. Food is like a constant competition in Puducherry. Every eating joint is trying to out run the other in making delicacies, baking and experience. In this Villa Shanti stands in number #2 in google reviews which believe me is an outstanding achievement. I am usually not a numbers person but genuinely after having outside in other places, I do feel Villa Shanti is one of the best, if not the top one. Room is very very spacious. Architecture, cleanliness and facilities are super. Will recommend the Hotel to facilitate shower curtains in Bathrooms... Being open french bathrooms, there are no door or separators. When travelling with kids this really becomes an inconvenience than experience.... This was also addressed by the Hotel with a shower curtain but I think making a permanent solution which is more durable will be good. This villa is indeed with Shanti.

The Breakfast like shared above is limited to choice. Being vegies during the Navaratri, we did feel the choices were limited for all veg food. Somewhere egg is used in Baking, somewhere the dish is alongside eggs... this made it tight for us to pick the right breakfast. If it has to be set breakfast then it definitely needs to think about all veg fellows. Though must state, I have decided to come back during regular times and enjoy myself with their chef's delicacies.

The location is good. Spotless clean room. I was traveling with my one year old and I had requested the hotel to thoroughly clean the room prior to arrival. The public was spic and span. The hotel is very well maintained. The chef had made excellent baby food for my son. The staff is very helpful and highly professional. I do not remember names but all of them were so cordial and warm.

Only four 500ml water is provided in a day. In a coastal area one tends to get dehydrated therefore water is a must when you are charging so much per day. We were there to celebrate our anniversary which I had informed during booking but no one in the hotel acknowledged that. Maybe they forgot since the hotel was busy. I had a bad experience with one of the hotel staff during booking (Subhajit). He messaged me in a way that didn't go well with me.

The room was very clean and it was maintained all 3 nights in a immaculate conditions.. The staff was very polite, humble and generous towards the guests.. Especially Mr. MOHAMMED RAFI, (Manager) has taken a very personal care. (Supervisor) NAZMUL Haque, Al Amin and Mohd. Sumon. The housekeeping plays a very vital role in stay at any hotel, the team has done phenomenal fantastic job..

The breakfast buffet was not that great, as everyday the same dishes were served and most of the guests had a same challenge..

Great location right in the heart of the French quarter. Old building renovated with a contemporary vibe. Excellent restaurant and bar, which made the place feel very buzzy. Room very comfortable, great shower.

Nothing to dislike. It doesn't have as much 'traditional /colonial' vibe as some of the other hotels in the area, but we enjoyed tne buzzy modern feel. The room rate is quite expensive, but the bar/restaurant is better value than other places in the quarter.

The hotel is super well located and our room was very spacious and well decorated. We got lot of amenities and a good coffee machine, which is not the case everywhere! We got a great massage in our room. The food is delicious!

The service could be a little bit better, the first day they didn’t let us know that our massage had a delay and the second day they called us in our room during our massage which was not really nice.

We had a late check in but the staff accomodated us and asked the kitchen to stay open. That was terrific. The food was delicious- we had 2 breakfasts, 1 light dinner and a full dinner. I loved the layout of the room and especially the design of the shower.

The property was immaculately maintained and aesthetically stunning. The room was spacious and beautifully furnished and the bed was exceptionally comfortable (it is so rare to find a mattress and pillows that are just right!). We ended up having ALL our meals at Villa Shanti itself because the food was absolutely brilliant. Our favorites (which we repeated) were the Fish Rillette, beef tenderloin and tandoori prawns with the incredible yellow dal. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and prompt and the massage organization in our room was fabulous. Everything from the scooter for transportation to the cab for the airport was efficiently scheduled. Can't wait to return!!!!! Merci beaucoup!!!!!

Excellent stay at this hotel! The room was beautifully designed, functional, super clean and comfortable. Since im a light sleeper I was worried about the noise, I can tell you i didn’t hear anything and had a great night sleep. The laundry service is immaculate The breakfast was delicious, best dosa I ever had. Also would like to add how complete it is. It included: fruit, eggs, dosa and coffee. Before leaving, I had a couple of drinks at the bar. The mocktails are refreshing and the iced coffee and snacks I had at the bar were really good. Would love to thank you Hanes for all your help sorting out so many things which made my stay memorable.
