Friendly people, they are also motorcyclists. Good food, good drinks, good breakfast. I asked for a room far from the street and got a very quiet room. Good tips over what to see in town.

Small but you can experience the traditional German style hotel. Didn’t eat there but their restaurant seems very comfy:)

There was nobody at the reception on my arrival, I was left on the street and they charged the regular price

Unable to have a meal as manager said he was on his own, though it is advertised as a restaurant and beer garden. We were guests and should have been treated better. We had driven all day from Brittany in France and deserved to be treated better.

The room is huge! The beds and linens were very comfortable - slept like a baby. the location was great for walking through the town. It was the perfect spot to enjoy Carnivale! Breakfast was a very nice buffet in probably the oldest building on the property which added a lot of charm and ambiance to our meal. Nothing was prepared on-site except for the soft-boiled eggs but the presentation was very welcoming. The shade system was very effective. The property has a lot of charm.

The person who checked us in could see we were having difficulty with our luggage - lots of stairs. Once we found our room we noticed a back door with 1 step down into the street. I wish she would have told us we could have pulled the car around and accessed our room with ease instead of struggle. The shower was powerful but what was annoying was there was no shelf of anywhere to place shampoo/conditioner/bath soap bottles once inside. And much too small to place them on the floor and have room to bend over to pick them up! That important convenience was lacking. This property is not for a physically handicapped, even slightly, person; there are stairs up and down throughout from front to back which connect the series of added-on buildings. Also the floors are uneven. This all adds to the historic charm but it should be considered low on the scale for accessibility reasons if you have challenges.
