Inside an area that is better for a pedestrian approach rather than driving in. I arrived in daytime, but could imagine it being a bit hard to locate at night. I was quite tired on arrival, not sure I got the room I booked, and the building was dated. You will likely not use the pool, plenty to see and walk in Chișinău. The parks south to the neighborhood are a nice walk.

Overall, three-star (not that I was looking for fancy), and great value if you’re okay with basics.

Fantastically situated in a small backroad a few minute's walk off Chisinau's city center, Edem Pension is a splendid place to discover the capital. The staff has been extremely nice to me despite the language barrier (do not expect anyone to speak english there). Violetta has been a mother to me, allowing me to leave my car for two days while travelling to Transnistria by bus. The premises are very clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are very clean and stacked with toiletries. WiFi is excellent. I loved my stay there, I highly recommend the place.

Amazing value for money at a great location. The room we got was really good for the money, especially considering there is a big swimming pool included! The room was big, and the beds felt very comfortable. The perfect hotel to stay when in Chisinau for a summer holiday. The owners were also very friendly. Bonus points for the owners helping my girlfriend get better when she got sick, really kind and helpful!

Quite some things came with an additional charge, although that is expected when the base price is so low.

Couldn't recommend enough! An amazing reception! I needed special requests for my arrival and departure, it was no problem for the host to be flexible and welcome me with a smile. I will be returning for sure! Lovely building in a good location for onward train travel.

An absolutely gorgeous property! The inside it tastefully decorated with natural colors with plants decorating the inside. The room itself is clean, very spacious and has a “welcome home” feel to it. The welcome I received was so kind! I would highly recommend!

Very friendly lady at reception made sure I was settled and comfortable in a nice room near reception. Despite the proximity to reception I didn't even hear the group checking out there in the morning until I came out of my room as the lady made sure everyone was whispering. That's the sort of attention to keeping guests happy that is rare but wonderful. My room was very clean, comfortable and the shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. Beds were comfortable but twins, so smaller than I like. Did not have breakfast as I had a 6am start. Also didn't try the pool but it looked very clean and inviting on a hot day. Location is great for the train station as it's about a 10 minute walk. Make sure however you check out the route as the right turn isn't obvious in the dark as the street has no lights.

Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. Very clean and the balcony has light throughout the morning and afternoon. You can help yourself to coffee from a bean to cup machine. There is also a fridge downstairs that you can store items.

There is just a very bright ceiling light, no bedside lighting. The pool is featured strongly in the pictures but it is not used for much of the year - this should be clear in the profile. There is no fridge in the room or kettle.
