Our bedroom was lovely and bathroom very modern. Great amenities - the body wash, conditioner and hand wash are a great, local brand! Lovely tea and coffee facilities in the room. Very clean and tidy. Nice to have the living room and garden space. We also had a takeaway and ate it in the dining room one night which was handy. Location is brilliant for both walking and visiting Grasmere and Ambleside.

The bed was too firm for us and we couldn't sleep with the window open as it was very noisy with cars going past. The WiFi connection wasn't strong enough to use throughout our stay.

The house was beautifully appointed and had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Jackie the host is very friendly and welcoming and gave wonderful recommendations for dinner. Any request was dealt with swiftly. The house is spotlessly clean, breakfast is delicious and the gardens were delightful to sit in and have an afternoon drink watching the lambs frolicking in the field. Location is walking distance to many eating options. Overall a fabulous 2 night stay. I would highly recommend this B and B.

Not a thing

This was a beautiful and well appointed property, a five minute scenic walk into the pretty little village of Grasmere. Jacky our host was just lovely and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered. Our bedroom beautifully decorated with a updated modern bathroom, though one of the smaller of the doubles had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay, there was a comfortable lounge for guests which we did use during our stay, an inviting dining room which we enjoyed a delicious breakfast each of the mornings. The Raise View is completely surrounded by the most wonderful scenery. We definitely would recommend this little gem in the Lake District.

Jacky, the owner was very friendly, approachable and accommodating. She has created a wonderfully comfortable place to stay. Raise View backs on to fields on the fringe of the village. It is within easy walking distance of several pubs, restaurants and the village itself. I would highly recommend Raise View to whoever is looking for a 5* bed and breakfast

Host Jacky was really friendly and welcoming, she let us drop our luggage off early so we could go and explore, and helped us find the best route for our walk and climb during our stay. Location was excellent and good bus links. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room lovely. Beautiful views from the room and house, and very well presented. Nice modern bathroom and shower.

A little expensive and the bed could have been more comfortable, we weren't able to sleep very well. Otherwise everything else was excellent.

The host was so friendly, welcoming, and informative about the surrounding areas and things to do. The house was so beautiful inside and out, and the view was just lovely. It was such a nice and peaceful stay. Absolutely loved it. It was such a convenient location as well for seeing the Lake District.

The room was beautiful, very comfortable and everything we would expect and more to make our stay pleasurable, and with stunning views of the scenery. There was a great choice of breakfast for all tastes and nothing was too much trouble. Favourite part of my day. Proximity to the village was perfect - a 10min stroll to all bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. In particular The Jumble Room. We loved everything about Raise View and will definitely be booking again.

Absolutely lovely place in a very nice village. Many restaurants and hikes near by. Jacky is an amazing host and would give you very nice tips on things to do around. The restaurants suggestions they have on their website and in the room are definitely worth trying. We loved our stay and we’re lucky that we got the room as they have 5 rooms only and is mostly booked out. Oh, and super nice fresh breakfast each morning :)

Wi-Fi signals in the rooms can be improved.

Good location, quiet rooms, comfortable bed, and clean room. The breakfasts were great, our host Jackie was very helpful and accommodating. We also liked the fact we had full control over the heat in our room. Other places only have the heat on during certain hours, and we’ve found those rooms can be cold.

Jacky was the perfect host :-) We enjoyed outstanding views, a garden with seating and a lovely breakfast room to enjoy the perfect breakfast. Jacky works hard to meet the dietary requirements of her guests. There is also a lovely separate sitting room. We stayed in the Helm Crag room which was cosy with all needs carefully thought out. The king sized bed was very comfortable with beautiful views of the fells and meadows from the window. The modern en-suite was perfect. Everything in this property is spotless.
