I've stayed at this property several times now as an early-spring break to see Chincoteague Island. The staff has always been exceptionally friendly and helpful, much more than I normally expect for a chain motel. Even though I go during the off season, and much of the island is closed up, the hotel always seems just as dedicated to keeping things humming along. And the location literally could not be better - they are the last hotel right before you cross the bridge to the National Park land.

There's really nothing I didn't like. It is a motel that's more on the budget end rather than the cushy B&B end of things, so if you go in expecting something it's not I guess you could be disappointed; but it's always been clean, friendly, convenient, and comfortable every time I've been there. The definition of a budget place to stay that will still make you feel like you got a good night's sleep in a well-kept room.

Prior to our arrival the staff had picked out a 3rd floor King room with a beautiful view of the marshlands and the Wallops Island testing facility. Which happened to be “exactly” where the sun would be setting both evenings we were staying. The day of arrival was our 36th Anniversary & they had set-up two mini bottles of champagne with cups & M&M’s….oh and a sweet note! So very welcoming! All areas were clean and well taken care of. The hotel is just before the bridge over to Assateague Island. So incredibly convenient as we made two trips over both days of our stay.

The free breakfast was excellent with many varieties of choices. The breakfast area was very clean with both indoor and outdoor dining. It was one of the best breakfast options available at most hotels. The location of the hotel was superb. Ample parking. Pleasant staff. Clean and spacious room. Quiet.

Tea or coffee in lobby at other times. However, the free cookies at check in was a nice touch. Housekeeping should be available. However, there was an opportunity to get more towels.

Friendly staff. Good size room and very clean, which is my highest priority. Comfy beds and pillows.Location was good but not in area to walk to shops. Next to the area visitor museum (was closed) and walkable or rent a bike across the street to the entrance into Assateague. Breakfast bar average but good and kept tidy by staff. Good coffee!

The negatives were tolerable and sometimes typical for motels. Loud AC unit and a loud clicking sound in the wall made for a restless night. Very comfy bed but still have the older polyester thin blanket. Others have moved to bleachable white cotton quilt style. We would definitely stay there again.

Front desk staff were wonderful, numerous breakfast options, lawn out back, location next to bridge, perfect view from balcony, quiet most of the week, comfortable bed, very clean room, outdoor tables and chairs.

Eggs, sausage, bacon, and gravy were too salty. Plastic utensils and plastic cream pods in the dining rooms and plastic pouches with plastic stirrers in the room were very disappointing.

Bryce at the front desk was just amazing...efficient, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. He made our stay a plus by helping us to park right behind the hotel and have very little distance to carry our luggage. He is a jewel!

I didn't like that we've been to Chincoteague many, many times in the past and never stayed at this spot. We will ALWAYS stay here in the future. Thanks for such a great experience.

Everything... nice room, courteous helpful and friendly staff, great location, very nice breakfast.

A little pricey. Breakfast should go a little later than 9:30, for late risers. Pool could use a little more regular maintenance. These are all minor quibbles... the place was great.

The staff was friendly and very helpful in recommending what to do and where to eat in Chincoteague. They are especially close to visiting the Assateague Island National Seashire and Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge.

There was nothing wrong with our stay except we wished we had more time to spend here.

Friendly service, hot hotel breakfast, great location, clean and spacious rooms. Free parking and good Wifi signal. No major issues for a short 4 day stay.

The whole building (and island) are pretty dated, TV is an old model with a very basic remote and did not allow for additional input connection from my laptop. There aren't a lot of lodging options nearby, so I would stay here again.

I loved the location. Maybe a bit quieter side of the island but there was plenty of places and shops in walking distance. It was right next to the Chincoteague museum and the bridge , which you can walk or ride bikes. Rooms were very clean and we were greeted with the nicest lady who gave my kids horse toys, and another nice lady gave them toys when I told her we were checking out. It was a really nice stay .

I didn't mind this at all but there was no housekeeping daily while you stayed there. Anytime you needed new towels you could bring yours to the front desk and they would give you whatever you needed. This was kind of a bonus because we were in and out of the room throughout the day.
