My room looked exactly like the picture above. Although the inn has the appearance of having been around for awhile, the owners take very good care of it. The property is super cute from the cute little lighthouse to the beautiful pink flowering tree in the front yard. All of the rooms open to the parking lot, so it is kind of like having your own little apartment. My room had been redone and had new flooring, an updated sink (like the one in the picture), a little mini refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffe maker. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel, handsdown. The room I was given was in the corner, so no one had to walk past my room to get to theirs. I had a very small walkway in front of my door, so I could sit outside. But there were also plenty of tables and chairs set out to sit at for a meal or just to relax. There was also a screened in patio area off the parking area that I saw people sitting in. I enjoyed the pool area every day and, once again, the owners had it set up so cute. There were huge, thick black and white towels to dry off with. The towels matched the umbrellas in each corner around the pool. Each umbrella had its own set of lounge chairs. I felt like I had my own little apartment for the couple of days I was there and I felt very comfortable with everything I could want thoughtfully provided for me.
There really wasn't anything I didn't like. I would have liked a laundry line in the shower for wet bathing suits, but, really, that is just being picky. I just hung my suit on the shower curtain rod and it was fine.

This is an older motel, which is being tastefully redone by a young couple. Our simple room was very clean, freshly painted, with good quality new furnishings and an attractive picture. The bath gad also been redone. It had a full sized walk in shower. There was a mini fridge and microwave and a Keutig coffee maker. There is also a large screen room with tables, chairs and an immaculate grill. It is a short walk to downtown.
I had one minor concern, and will mention a second thing that did not bother me but maybe someone else would not like it. The minor issue is the mattress. Mattress comfort is very personal. We had a foam mattress. They are very popular now. My daughters both have foam mattresses and love them. But I do not find them very comfortable because of arthritis and being a hot sleeper. The second item is that the office is largely not open. You can call a cell phone for service, and they come or answer questions ight away. Perhaps someone else might find this a concern.

I booked the hotel for a long weekend getaway with my wife. We've been coming to Chincoteague for years. The Inn on Main was very reasonably priced and had good ratings on Booking.com so we decided to try it. It's an old school hotel so the room door opened on to the parking lot. The room was nicely updated with a fridge/freezer, backlit mirror and very comfortable queen bed, with two chairs. The TV worked perfectly, which I no longer take for granted. The location was great, just a block from several good restaurants and the downtown shopping area. Everything we wanted to do on the island was within 1 - 1.5 miles. The room was spotlessly clean and had daily maid service. For less than $100/night this can't be beat for an offseason visit.
Nothing major. The hvac unit was a little hard to dial in but we figured it out.

I loved the design aesthetic of the room. Very modern and artsy. I also enjoyed the size of the room and amenities that were provided. Lastly, the air conditioning unit was efficient and there seemed to also be some kind of air purifier as well with cool ambient lighting. Oh - and the room included the CUTEST retro Smeg-dupe fridge and microwave set as well as a Keurig.
The only thing that could have been improved on was dusting a bit better as there were cobwebs and a little spider above the curtains at the window and the bed frame/mattress was squeaky when moving which made getting up to use the restroom or readjusting in bed a bit annoying as you may wake your partner if they are asleep. Lastly, since there is a Keurig in the room, a complimentary bottle of water would be awesome so you don't have to use sink water.

The location was great... near the center of town and walking distance to many restaurants. The room was very comfortable. Nice that the sink is outside the shower/toilet room. Nice having a mini fridge and coffee maker.
The entrance door had a big gap at the bottom, allowing warm air and bugs to get in.

Very clean. Remodeling included sound proofing, which made the room very quiet even though it was on a main street. Perfect location - walked to breakfast cafe Aramin (wonderful coffee and French pasteries), walked to tour boat (Dan's), and restaurants.

The room was newly updated and quite attractive. The bed/pillows were high quality, as were the provided toiletries. There was a mini-fridge and microwave. We enjoyed sitting by the gas fire pit. The owners were extremely kind and accommodating.
The exterior of the main building has not yet been renovated. It gave the property a run-down appearance that did not initially show off all the work they have done on the interior spaces.

Small boutique motel with a lot of character. Exceptionally friendly staff. Wonderful well landscaped grounds with a variety of seating areas, pool, fire pit & screened grilling area. Clean nicely updated rooms with a touch of retro. Location is very near the entrance to the Island, surrounded by quaint residences and within walking distance to several popular restaurants, coffee shops, ice cream shops and other stores.
Parking spaces are narrow so having a smaller narrower automobile would help.

Everything! Great location, comfy beds, lots of outlets, manager and other personnel were very friendly and always seen working to the benefit of the property and upkeep, pool and hang out area with a full grill, decor, cinderblock walls (I know odd, but they were painted white so very pretty and soft yet they blocked sound so we had no issues with outside noise or neighboring rooms disturbing us), and excellent value for price.
Not really much of anything to dislike honestly. Maybe some sort of feedback could be for housekeeping to pay attention to detail and clean corners and crevices well and when doing updates again details matter. Caulking that's not replaced or certain hardware and miscellaneous items could still use updating.

Loved the 50's revival Deco "flamingo" room! The bed was super comfy, and it was decorated well with plenty of dresser storage. The room was perfect for one person. There was a chair for seating. But if one is traveling for business, note that there is not a desk. But that's perfectly okay as this property is not geared towards business travellers. The WiFi was fast, and I had no problem streaming a movie on my tablet. The pool was petite, perfect, clean and well kept. There is a screened-in seating/dining area with a grill. This is a great feature as mosquitoes can be a menace in Chincoteague! The white lights in the trees looked festive and provided additional light in the parking area. The Inn on Main is an older property, but don't let that deter you from booking! I was truly impressed how well-appointed my room was...it even had a special black embroidered "makeup" facecloth for removing makeup. The lemongrass bamboo toiletries were quite nice too! I would definitely return for a stay.
