Such a cute little property with a nice view! Free laundry. Property location to restaurants and Maddox Blvd was great. Liked how units were not connected.

The beds & pillows were horrible. Only one dishwasher tab was provided. No hand soap at kitchen sink. Nothing to clean dishes by hand with besides dish soap. Had to ask lobby attendant for new shower towels, trash bags & replacement rolls of TP each time. Couch could have been a pullout bed. The pool bathrooms were convenient when the one in cottage was being used but they locked after a certain hour. Tile surrounding pool area got very slippery! Lounge chairs at pool not comfortable. Need more shade available at pool. There should have been a welcome folder in the unit with a list of things to do, hours of operation (NASA tour days & hrs, Lighthouse tour days, trolley info, when & where pony boat tours were) & places to eat with phone numbers for delivery. OpenKey app didn’t always work.

I like that the property provides complimentary bikes to ride around, a pool, good size kitchen, bathroom,room, and balcony. They also have a fire pit.free wifi

The TVs do not work on Wi-Fi but they run on cable. Checkout time is 10am but on the app it said 11. Because when Miss Sandy called me, she said check out time was at 10 and I was just leaving at 11. The floors weren’t sweep or clean well. The water from the shower smells like the sea. Everything is electronic if you do it through booking, I’m not sure if it’s the same if you book on their actual website.

We had a great time, just enjoying being the water, the villas are so beautiful 💕💕💕The room was very clean, we didn’t have to interact with anyone because the key was an app, which was really fancy.

It was all a digital keypad that unlocked from my phone… I’m not super duper techy, but it did make me a little bit nervous because I guess I’m used to seeing like a bar or a deadbolt or a chain on the door in addition to the keyless entry. It was a particularly windy night on the water in the in the off season(no one’s fault) Don’t get me wrong, we had a good time but two different times when I went to toward the bathroom the TV would come on, and then it would start to change the channels on its own add that with the random(single) knocks on the door which sounded like a tap or the door unlocking with one click. Just a little spooky but that’s nobody’s fault.

This is such a delightful, well-considered, lovely property. We stayed here last minute after some plans changed during our road trip and I am SO glad. We will definitely come back and plan to spend more time at the Key West Cottages. Super clean, extremely well thought out, just... lovely. In case you happen to also be visiting in the winter, you'll be happy to know what the heating system is more than sufficient. I was concerned booking a water front place in a largely seasonal area, but the heat was terrific. ARRIVAL / RECEPTION Arrived around 7:30, I think. The property is comprised of many little cottages. The main building is where you park when you first pull in, and this is where the lobby is. Just like a regular hotel, the lobby has regular hours and is staffed. There was a very friendly and helpful person working in the lobby when we arrived. She was a little surprised to see us as we had only confirmed our booking shortly before arriving and she didn't know they were expecting more guests yet. We quickly got us checked in and gave us some suggestions of places to eat. It is the height of "off season" for any beach town (it's February right now), so it is super helpful getting local information about places that are actually open. THOUGHTFUL DETAILS The property has wagons you can use to walk your things to your cottage (it is a short walk even to the farthest one, so you may not really need it). I saw a family pulling their little children around in a wagon and they loved it. There are also bikes on hand for guests to use and explore the area. The pool looks so cute and fun. Coffee pods are local and delicious. Beds are incredibly comfortable. Couch has a sweet little blanket. There are just loads of little details that make this place very special.

The cottages are super cute. They are spacious and laid out nicely to maximize privacy but not sacrificing any of the beauty. The beds are nice and comfy. Having the little kitchenette was a huge bonus, I have a shellfish allergy and dining out in Chinoteague is a bit difficult sometimes because every single restaurant is seafood heavy in their options, so we were able to cook with ease.The complimentary bikes are a great feature and we took advantage of being able to ride around the island. Each cottage has a deck and there is also a little private beach where you can sit and watch the sunrises/sunsets. This was our second time staying here and we have loved each time. I have never seen so many butterflies in one area as we have at Key West Cottages. They have the right mixture of plants to make sure you can enjoy these beautiful creatures.

Just wish there was something used for anti slip measures in the tub. A couple of times my husband almost slipped.

Loved having our own space in these beachy, well keeped cottages. Staying here definitely made a great 1st impression on our 1st time visiting Chincoteague Island. One thing that we thought was extra nice was that you can control the temperature in each room of the cottage.

We can't say anything we didn't like during this stay. The only negative thought we had was that the floors weren't clean enough to our liking. We did not inform them until checkout, but I'm positive they would have cleaned them instantly if we asked.

We were surprised to have to take out our own trash + wash the dishes (general housekeeping). Not a big deal. But still a little bit surprised by that. There was also dried pasta sauce stuck onto the face of the oven, which felt a little yucky. We'd prefer to see a cleaning service handling housekeeping (rather than the guests expected to clean up themselves). This would provide a more seamless experience for the guests, and avoid missed opportunities like the pasta sauce.

The cottages are nicely laid out, they have everything you’d need during your stay, a kitchenette area, living space, bedroom and bathroom. The decor is cute and welcoming. The landscaping on the ground is lovely with colorful plants around each corner. The pool area was super nice, it’s got a lower area for kids or to lay in the lounge chairs, and the ledge to sit in around the sides is nice. The beach area is perfect to watch the sunset.

I honestly can’t think of anything off the top of my head, we had a great time.

The cottages and facilities were BEAUTIFUL!! The staff were all very friendly. Really appreciated the carts for loading/unloading. Every detail was thought of...lights for loss of power and clothes steamers. Pool was nice and big and beachy area was great!! Landscaping was gorgeous!! Big tvs in all areas were nice!!

Living area was tight for 4 people, but the bedrooms and bathrooms were great. It would be nice that a place that sleeps 4 would have a seat for 4 people in the living area.

The cottages were beautiful and clean, the perfect amount of space for the three of us. The little porch looked out to the water and marsh island with a beautiful view at sunset! The location was amazing, right as you entered town. I thought the proximity to the bridge might be disruptive, but not at all! And the pool was still open and heated on November 11th! In season this might be out of my price range, but they were perfectly priced for my off season visit.
