Lovely family run hotel just outside the village centre with private carpark that had lots of space. Spacious room and bathroom - all very clean and comfortable. Nice shady balcony (afternoon) with table and a couple of chairs for relaxing. We had a corner room with windows on two sides so we were able to get a breeze coming through. No lift but they did offer help with bags. Good choice of breakfast - regularly refreshed. Onsite restaurant - reasonably priced with a good selection (including for vegetarians) and great quality. Few mins walk to the town centre and train station. Hotel provided a free pass for trains and buses that you can use throughout the Black Forest area - you can get to loads of places without having to use the car - so a great bonus. Highly recommended and I wouldn't hesitate to return

We stayed here during a mini heat wave and the landlady very generously upgraded us to a cooler room with balcony and provided a fan for our comfort. The hotel is exceptionally clean and in a great location for visiting the old town. Everything worked very well, I would have no hesitation staying here again.

I booked the room for my frined who visited me here. The room was very clean and quiet, she told me it was very comfortable to stay. I joined her at the breakfast and dinner.And the foods tasted very good. All staff were very friendly and polite. Thank you so much, i would book again for my friend/ family:)

This is everything a family run hotel should be. Helpful staff and absolutely outstanding food both for dinner and breakfast. Lots of local wine and produce.

The bed was a little firm and the pillow was not what I prefer. Both personal preferences only.

No Kettle in Bedroom but that's not unusual..

We had a great stay at Gasthof Pfauen and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the restaurant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly and efficient staff with good food at breakfast and in the restaurant. Right in heart of town for facilities but still quiet. Room was spacious with a modern bathroom with powerful shower.

The food was fabulous in the restaurant and our host was so nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days there!
