Clean, very quiet, perfectly adequate for attending a conference at MaMu (8 mins walk). Lots of restaurants and cafes within 10 mins walk. Local shops close by and superstore next to MaMu. The room has air conditioning.

Mid-October there were mosquitoes in town (Mantua is surrounded by water). Netting on the windows might help. We kept the windows shut.

First of all, Roberto was a wonderful host. The place is close to the train station, it was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Overall, a great place to stay for the price.

The room's noise isolation could improve, but it wasn't a big deal to be honest.

Very good location within walking distance to the center of Mantova but accessible by car. Located in an old house, quite atmospheric. The room was quite spartan but spacious. Typical Italian breakfast (sweet only). There are some (very limited) private parking places available - it is a good idea to let them know you need them while booking. Otherwise there are paid parking places on the street (free overnight) or free ones some 400 meters away. Very friendly manager, genuinely interested in assissting her guests and giving any explanations that might be needed.

The host is a very nice and enthousiastic man who loves to tell you detailled stories about the history of Mantua and the camera degli sposi. Only problem is that he speaks very little English and my Italian couldn't always keep up with his very fast Italian! None the less we had a very good time together during our very good breakfast!
