A very unique place to stay in a historic area of town (not by river walk or downtown though- just FYI). The beds were super comfy and the home is beautifully restored. There are nice outdoor & indoor spots to enjoy the property. It was full but still quiet and private. You can tell they have lovingly restored and care for the home.

The website says breakfast is included but there was no breakfast and the host didn’t reply to an inquiry regarding this. Not the end of the world but it would’ve been nice to know. We knew in advance that it was an extra $100 for 2 people in our room but this really seems unnecessary as we already had a room with 2 queens and no extra services or food or anything were provided.

The jewel-toned parlors invite guests to sit, relax and enjoy this immersion into a luxurious bygone era. I loved the coffee-table book detailing the mansion's storied history; the Orman's would give this beautiful home's rebirth a big thumbs up! Don, the on-site manager, was very responsive to any questions or requests. After 2 decades admiring the mansion from the street, I had the opportunity to stay when our home, a mere 2 houses away, was undergoing a total plumbing restoration. What a treat!

Only thing that could make this stay any better could be a breakfast offering, hot coffee and fresh croissants perhaps ? (keurig available but with only the sweetest flavors of brews) Or perhaps a little happy hour offering would be very nice!

We completely enjoyed our stay! Bobby was a great host, and the mansion is beautiful. We utilized the certificate/coupon for breakfast. Very good! We would never have known about it and will definitely return. Location was great for getting downtown. We traveled with another couple whose room was WAAY more updated. We enjoyed the 2nd floor common area to have coffee with them in the morning.

Not that it was bad, and I realize it's an historically preserved property, but we struggled a bit with the lighting in our room. No lamps (overhead light only), only one outlet for us to share. No nightstands for eyeglasses, phones, etc.

Extraordinary is the combination of Extra and Ordinary, Joe and his three brothers met us at the front door and we were ushered out of the ordinary and into a spacious, colorful living history with all the modern amenities. Extraordinary, beyond, outside of expectation... Along the way, we met their Uncle, his daughter, and later their Father. Finally, out of the blue, we met their Mom a vibrant and immediately inclusive way about her. During the few days we spent we found out more and more about what this family means to the community and could not help but appreciate the accomplishments they seem to thrive on creating and sharing. There is a real sense of hard work, near genius vision, love and an ability to laugh with unguarded ease.

Truly, there was nothing to not like. I suppose if you choose to find fault you could, but our little family only found a warm space filled with laughter and joy.

Many historical hotels are a bit sparse with amenities, or have several idiosyncrasies that can make for challenging sleep. We experienced comfort, luxury, and got good sleep inside the painstakingly restored mansion, and enjoyed hanging out in Pueblo, too! Best bang for the buck in Colorado.

Honestly nothing, it was all great. I could see the room getting a bit stuffy when it's hot but we were just fine.

The mansion is amazing - it's gorgeous and impressive and just like the photos. We had two king rooms with private bathrooms and they were huge rooms. One of the bathrooms had been recently redone and the other was straight out of the 90s with carpet and an old school jetted tub. But the brothers who own it are in the process of redoing the other bathrooms as well, so expect those to be updated soon!

Since it's in the process of being updated, it's a little hit or miss. Some curtains were up, but other windows had no curtains and the rooms were bright at night as a result. Also both beds looked lovely, but one was super sturdy and one was a little creaky and rickety. Only other drawback was that it's not really walkable to the Riverwalk - distance isn't the issue, it's just not a particularly pedestrian-friendly route.

Our stay was fabulous, it was the highlight of our getaway. We loved the architecture and interior design. Everywhere you looked was something interesting to look at and pleasing on the eye. I loved the rich jewel tones throughout the living spaces. Everything was rich and lux including the highly detailed fineplaces, woodwork, furniture and drapes. The bedding and towels are very nice and the bed was comfortable (on the firm side). I loved the warmth of our bedrooms;two rooms joined by a thick sliding door shared a large bathroom with a shower. Everything was clean and very nice touches such as Starbucks keurig coffee and cups, salon sample conditioner, snacks, pop, water…. We enjoyed playing hide and seek on different levels, playing monopoly and chess. Grandson played the grand piano. Joe met us and took care of our luggage and offered to help us if we needed anything. Loved making memories in this lovely place!!!

It was so beautiful inside and out. I felt like I was at home. It was so comfortable and not overcrowded like big-name hotels. I wish we could have stayed longer. My kids took pictures of everything, they want to stay here every time we visit now!

We like choosing places with complimentary breakfast because that's one less meal to purchase or figure out. So we were surprised when we saw that breakfast was included, but I think that's a mistake because there is no staff to prepare meals.

Unfortunately, we were only able to make this an overnight stay on our way through Puablo this time. Our host was very informative and recommended a very nice place to eat. We had a nice room with a newly renovated bathroom. It was a great experience to have stayed in such a beautiful house.

The air conditioner was a little noisey. We ended up shutting the air conditioner off and just turning the ceiling fan on, and it was sufficient.

The place was gorgeous – and historical – and comfortable – all at the same time. Don is very knowledgeable about the history, as they’ve tried to keep as much of it original as possible. The grounds were beautiful, also. We’re not super luxury people, but this was so interesting and reasonable, we treated ourselves.
