Wonderful place owned by a German couple, with very friendly and helpful staff. The girl at the reception, Alejandra gave us plenty of explanation about possible activities and places to dine, always with a smile. We stayed in the colonial house. Great accomodation, well equiped, comfortable and with a wonderful view to both the Irazu and the Turrialba vulcano. Also optional breakfast is nice and taken care off and plenty, though

I am pretty sure that for the rather steep price of 5500 CRC (10 USD) you can find other options in town for less money and probably as good.

Great location with beautiful views of the volcanoes. Spacious rooms which are well looked after. Delicious breakfast. The owners and staff were very informative on arrival and we were greeted with nice cold lemonade after a long journey. Walking distances from a good choice of restaurants. Lots to do in the local area, better with your own car.

Bedding was a little thin but we were provided with extra pillows on request. The bathroom does not have a full wall separating it from the bedroom so that was not very private. But overall these things did not take away from a very good experience.

This is a little gem of Orosi! Beautifully crafted space, with really nice decoration, extremely comfy beds, nice bathroom and small kitchenette if you want to cook during your vacation. Fantastic mountain view to add more to the place. Staff is beyond helpful and would do everything to make you feel special. Breakfasts are to die for, and if you like bread, you will fall in love with theirs. Coffee is great, they have a nice selection of teas, as well as fantastic jams. They feed birds, so this also gives you a fantastic opportunity to observe them. Orosi runs a tiny store where you can buy nice pieces of arts made by local and indigenous people (and of a good quality!). I wish we could have stayed longer!

I don't think there is anything not to love about this place!

Reliable family safe town. Quiet sleeping. It's a lovely community and everything is a relaxing walk from Lodge. Super clean, zero neglect. The bungalow is accessible, no stairs or barriers to enjoy town. Hot shower is best I had in Canada or Costa Rica. Breakfast was a hit with my 14 year old. Staying more than two days is recommended to relax into the town's vibe and appreciate the ever changing weather. Definitely visit Hacienda Orosi (night pass)!!! This mineral water healed old injury in shoulder and fatigue rose out of muscles and flowed away down mountain, leaving me feeling 15 years younger.

We didn't like that we had to leave. Please stay at least three nights, at least.

Orosi Lodge was our last stay of a three week roadtrip through Costa Rica and it perfectly rounded up the trip. It is a combination of lodge, cafe and shop, which gives it a special atmosphere. You can clearly see and feel that the owners care about their place. The rooms are located in the backyard of the cafe/shop, the upper rooms have a gorgeous view to Irazu volcano. Originally we had a room on the lower level but since we just came from Irazu we asked for an upper level room to enjoy the memory of the volcano and the staff fulfilled our wish - thank you very much! The rooms are nice, they include a small kitchen. Only the bathroom is a bit small, but then I also have no idea how to enlarge it not at the cost of kitchen and bedroom. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. We regretted that we could not stay another night due to our travel itinerary.

There is nothing to complain about.

i love this little hotel. This was my second stay here. The German couple who own it are friendly, helpful and speak several languages. they’ve been here for over 25 years, so they know everything! the upstairs rooms have queen beds and a kitchenette and better view from the veranda. The first floor rooms have two beds and I think no kitchenette. Excellent breakfast is additional $7. They have art, masks and decorated coffee sacks and local porcelain, for sale as well.

Roosters next door and a loud dog can wake you til you get used to them. Orosi itself can have loud traffic noise on the main highway, three blocks away, but it doesn’t disturb the hotel.

spacious and tasteful house. Great terrace with amazing view. easy walking distance to town center. Friendly hosts who had great recommendations for the area.

The ground floor was pretty cold and dark so we did hardly use it. the upper bedrooms did miss some curtains as it’s pretty bright at nights with the street lamps from the surrounding streets shining right in your face. Also the place has an ants problem. Not the ‘don’t leave food out’ kind of problem but seriously ants crawling into every corner (luggage, when left on the floor, cosmetics, even when closed and stored on a shelf, …)

I love the location, the friendly staff and reception, the included breakfast was DELICIOUS, and the aesthetic of the plant life, fountain, and statues were beautiful.

the walls are very thin, and you can pretty much hear everything from your room which means people can probably hear you in your room as well. There was a lot of noise in the morning from other groups/ families that were staying and dogs barking.

We had a lovely little casita (actually very spacious!) with balcony overlooking the beautiful town of Orosi with views of Irazu and Turrialba volcanoes. It was characterful and had everything we needed, including secure parking and a delicious homemade breakfast. Wish we could have stayed here for longer.

This was a lovely little lodge in the small town of Orosi. It was clean and comfortable, the hosts were friendly and welcoming and we were provided with a very good breakfast each morning. After staying in more remote locations we enjoyed have access to nearby shops and restaurants.

No complaints. It was all good.
