Breakfast: Toaster provided with butter, marmalade, jam, etc. Fresh fruit, cereals, tea, coffee, orange juice. Cooked breakfast of your choice would be provided upon request which is plentiful and delicious. Chris and Louise are very friendly, welcoming hosts and clearly go the extra mile to ensure you enjoy your stay. Our room was nicely decorated, clean and well presented with lovely views from the window. The ensuite bathroom had a lovely large walk in shower (pressure problems asside) with a modern suite. The bed was extremely comfortable. The lovely, well kept gardens are extensive and are filled with established trees, flowering shrubs and is a haven for birds. It offers plenty of places to dine elfresco or just sit, relax and enjoy the wonderfull surrounding views over the town to the mountains in the distance. The property is characterful and of typical traditional style of the area located up a hill a few minutes walk from the town centre which has plenty of eating establishments to choose from. The immediate roads leading to the property are narrow as is the driveway up to the house and navigating them can be a little challenging, but you soon get used to it. Do not let that put you off, as Bryn Mair is a wondeful place to stay in every sense of the word. Thank you Chris and Louise for making our stay so enjoyable.
Our only minor issue is that the ensuite shower had pressure problems during our stay. Chris the owner was very concerned and arranged for repair. It did not impact our stay or bother us unnecessarily.

This is a beautiful property which is thoughtfully run by lovely, friendly people. The room we had really was exceptional. It was super comfortable with everything that you could possibly need and with the bonus of a stunning view of Dolgellau. Can't fault the hosts, the facilities or the property. Breakfast was fresh and delicious and you really did feel 'at home' there. Easy walking distance to the centre of town as well. Would love to stay again if we are in the area.
It is a little difficult to get to, especially in a big car or van. Dolgellau is a very old town with the traditional windy, narrow streets and lanes so great care should be taken following the owners directions and not just blindly following the satnav. Totally worth the little extra effort though!

The B&B is beautifully positioned on a hillside overlooking the town of Dolgellau and mountains beyond. The view from my room was nothing short of spectacular! Friendly, attentive hosts. I loved all the attention to detail in the rooms / furnishings - you can tell the hosts have put a lot of thought and consideration into creating a beautiful, relaxing space for their guests.
The place was a bit hard to find initially - I found it was best to follow the sat nav but take the turning after Love Lane. Probably not the easiest road to navigate if you don’t have a small car (thankfully I do!)

Absolutely gorgeous place with a nice view and parking just in-front of the building. The room was lovely and bed was very comfortable. There were also a few choices for breakfast, which was also good. Chris and Louise are absolutely lovely hosts. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable and were very attentive. Furthermore, very responsive on messages on here before and during our stay, and even after we had left( had a pressing question about the maple syrup that was served at breakfast) Chris promptly answered my question as well. I truly believe that you would be hard pressed to find a better place to stay.
Nothing to do with the booking itself, however the road to the location is a little tricky to find and rather narrow at certain parts, so make sure to follow the directions from Chris, otherwise you might struggle.

The location is great with superb views over the local town and some stunning gardens. However, getting to the location was a little difficult but Chris, our host, sent us detailed instructions with, believe or not, accompanying photographs which was a terrific help. He also welcomed us to his house and showed where everything was. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was just what we wanted with lashings of toast, butter and jam. We were offered a cooked breakfast but my wife and I declined the offer. The house is only a few minutes walk to the local town square with a good choice of bars and restaurants. We took advantage of ‘Chippy Tuesday’ (Reduced price fish and chips) in the Royal Ship Hotel for our evening meal which was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bryn Mair and would not hesitate to stay again.
Difficult to get to without Chris's very helpful directions with accompanying photographs.

Excellent location with onsite parking. Short walk downhill into the town if your mobile. Very friendly and helpful owners. The room was a good size with large ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was yummy. Good choice for food and drink in town also.
If we're being really picky, we think the self serve part of breakfast would be better in the same room rather than in the hall. A bit more choice of the fried breakfast would be good, but what we had was an adequate portion and good quality. Just our opinion but not a complaint. Would thoroughly recommend Bryn Mair 🙂

The welcome from Chris. The rooms are lovely with excellent views across the town. Tea and coffee in the room came with fresh milk from a mini fridge which is such a welcome change from plastic pots with a drop of UHT... Breakfast was to order and with a highly original vegetarian option as well as toast, pastries, cereal etc. Gluten free bread was available .. a very relaxing place to stay.
Not a dislike... merely an observation... Access by large vehicle would be tricky. Two rooms have a small ensuite... the other room has a larger, private toilet and shower room.

The stay we had here is the kind of place that makes you breathe easier the second you walk in. Thoughtful touches everywhere including robes, snacks, tea and coffee. And even places a children’s book in the room for my son who stayed with me. After hours of travelling settling down on the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept it felt like a dream. The hosts were very warm and friendly without being overbearing. Quiet, charming with a lovely view. Me & my son both connected to Wi-Fi without any issues.
Just that I didn’t book a second night because I’m missing how comfy the bed was !.

We were immediately made very welcome by Chris and Louise. Our room was luxurious, with a comfortable king-size bed, well-equipped bathroom and glorious views across town. An exceptional breakfast added to our enjoyment. We also appreciated the plentiful space for parking and enjoyed the beautiful gardens.
It's not their fault but road access to Bryn Mair is quite challenging due to the narrowness of Dollgellau's streets. Thank goodness we had the benefit of Chris's six photos to guide us, plus parking-support beepers on our car to avoid scratching the sides.

Stayed for a couple of days in Dolgellau as I was up with my mountain bike and needed somewhere that had secure bike storage which the Bryn Mair had plus it had car parking but this could be tricky if there were a lot of people wanting to park as space would be limited. Really happy with my choice of B&B, Chris was a great host, the room was really nice and the bed comfy and a really nice breakfast. A nice little fridge on the landing to keep the fresh milk for brews. All in all, highly recommended and I'm sure I will be back. Many thanks Chris 👌👍
There wasn't anything to not like, I was really happy with my choice.
