We were in the Willow suite. My adult son joined us and used the pull out in the living room, which he said was very comfortable. The property is very nicely restored and well equipped . It is comfortable, has good linens, comfortable beds, is very clean and has unique little articles of decor without being cluttered. The best feature was the little sunroom at the front which appears to have been converted from a veranda. We were able to enter and exit through this entry rather than go through the lobby. On exit, there is a nice deck with outdoor furniture, where we had our self provided happy hour one day and breakfast the next.

Only one minor thing... the location of the (very adequate) bathroom requires whoever is occupying the pullout bed to go through the master bedroom. However, this wouldn't stop me from booking this suite again.

What a gem this hotel is! We loved the thoughtful details and cleanliness of our suite. The character of the building, the spaciousness of the suite, the decor, and colors, the bedding, the fully outifitted kitchen, the garden and decks....all of it had us very impressed. Plus the location can't be beat. We walked to the shops and had some memorable meals at the restaurants. The hot springs were a short drive away and we visited them twice in 2 days, as well as the provincial park at the lake. We had the opportunity to look at some of the other suites while they were empty between guests, and every one of them was lovely. I would stay in any one of them. Chris, his wife, and staff are so friendly and helpful and check in was super easy. We travel often for work and pleasure, and the Cloudside Hotel felt so cozy, my only regret was not staying for longer. Thanks Chris, we will be back!

There is nothing that I didnt like.

Spent anniversary in Nelson. Location for walking everywhere downtown Nelson was fantastic. Very close to so many restaurants and shops. Room was cute and cozy but quite small. Basically a bedroom with a bathroom but adequate enough for a couple. It was a very unique vibey property with character. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others.

Nothing negative to say. We had a very pleasant experience.

Wonderful location, beautiful view from the room. We stayed in the Tamarack two bedroom apartment and had plenty of space for all five of us (two adults, three kids). I loved that the kitchen had staples like oil, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, and creamer. The owner met us on our way in and made sure we had everything we needed and made great recommendations for both food and a few short hikes in the area. The hotel is within walking distance of pretty much anything you would need in Nelson but it is also quiet and a block or two off the main street.

The beds were a little hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were a little flat for my preference.

Great walkable location. Cozy and historic vibe. Very clean and relatively modern feeling. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful.

Fir room specifically was quite small, other rooms seemed more sizable. Fir room could you use some blackout blinds ideally.

Location was very good. Parking at the rear of the property was good. Patio area at the rear was a good idea, particularly as we had booked a very small room. Plenty of communal tea and coffee and use of a fridge was good too.

We had a small double room, which we did book, so no complaints there - but it was very small.

Perfect location to walk to restaurants in town. Charming old building tastefully furnished. Comfortable bed. Nice little sitting room included with Sycamore room. Friendly staff.

I would have liked a fold out luggage stand. Asked for one but there were none available. Brighter reading lights beside bed would have been nice. Folks interested in booking should be aware that there are multiple stairs required to access the first floor rooms of the house, no matter which entrance you use. That is a reality not a criticism. Nelson is built on the side of a mountain and is filled with stairs!

Roomy rooms, excellent location near all the main shops and restaurant, nice view on the mountains, great beds. Loved the place and will return. Delicious breakfast place (OSO) just around the corner.

A large cell phone antenna not to far from the place, but it's the problem for all downtown area.

We loved it. Our first room was quite tight but we were able to move to another with more space and light. It was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. We walked around the downtown and didn’t need our car.

The only thing that could have made it better was some sort of breakfast offering. We tried to get milk and cereal so we could enjoy a slow morning in, but there was no place to pick that up nearby the night before. No elaborate sit down breakfast needed. Maybe muffins delivered to the door or something.

Great location close to downtown but quiet area. Spacious bedroom with a nice separate private sitting room. Very clean and large barhroom well stock. . Overall, we enjoyed it. Very close to the best coffee shop.

The bedroom lighting and the coffee provided could be improved.
