Everything was fantastic as regards the staff, the food and the hotel is really beautiful, great location with fabulous art work around the grounds

We booked a superior room with a balcony! This balcony turns out to be a small space with a 6ft high wall surrounding, I would call it a little yard!! With no view. Your description is very different to the one advertised as the word Balcony means you are looking out at something. But the staff did accommodate us the 2nd day of our arrival in one of the suites in the courtyard which was lovely once settled. Otherwise it is a fabulous hotel and great staff. I feel your advertising of these rooms is very wrong and needs to be changed. I will return again but will be very careful of what room to book

It is a very romantic place to stay in - an old fortress rebuilt to be a hotel. Overall the hotel is not new, but recently refurbished and looked quite fresh. The breakfast was stunning. There is a car par available, which for Cascais is a huge extra.

This is a fabulous hotel built into a castle, in a lovely location a short walk from Cascais where there are 3 town beaches on the marina, and many lovely restaurants and lots of shops. You can get a train from Cascais into Lisbon for sightseeing or can get taxis from the hotel to all the nearby sightseeing places such as Sintra or the surfing beaches like Guincho. The hotel staff are amazing, so helpful and attentive, the facilities are brilliant, and the breakfast is outstanding. The hotel restaurant the Terrace is also brilliant. There are 2 lovely pools and lots of loungers in the roof top gardens around the outside pool.

I specifically emailed you long in advance, wishing one of our rooms (superior ) to have sea view and balcony. but I did not get any answer. It turned out this room had no view at all, and the balcony was not a balcony, just a small secluded back yard with absolutely no view at all. That was a big disappointment, since we paid extra and chose a superiour room for our teenagers just for the view and balcony.room number 276.

Location was amazing. Great hotel in a old fort right near the marina and the old part of town. The breakfast was great value. Loved everything about this hotel.

Maybe to have the room cleaned earlier in the day - on one of the days by 5pm it still hadn't been cleaned - not a big deal but...

Lovely hotel near the marina and a short walk from the centre. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Great buffet breakfast and swimming pool was fab for the kids.

The room we were in smelt a little damp and there were very few hooks/places to hang robes and wet swim gear, despite being encouraged not to get towels changed to be kinder to the environment. We had to change them because we couldn't dry them!

Beautiful position in the old citadel in the art district overlooking the marina with numerous restaurants to choose from. Short walk into Cascais which is a lovely little town.

Lovely large room with balcony overlooking the marina. Beautiful views beyond out to sea. Marred on Friday & Saturday nights by extremely loud disco music from one particular bar late & night. Went on until 2pm, so bad that we asked to change the room to a quiet area of the hotel on the Saturday. Hotel staff were very understanding as we were obviously not the first to complain. Otherwise we loved the place.

Amazing staff , we arrived early but were lucky to be able to check in to our beautiful room, it’s was immaculately clean, the bed huge and really comfortable. Despite it being close to the breakfast room we weee not disturbed by any noise at all. Great location overlooking the marina right in the heart of the town. Perfect spot to enjoy Cascais and not far from anything else but coming back to a restful quiet place was perfect. Maybe the swimming pool Is small but the sun beds are comfortable and all can have umbrellas. All the staff were really friendly and polite and would not hesitate to stay there again. Breakfast selection will suit everyone as there is so much choice. Maybe a little chaotic breakfast service and clearing Of tables in the height of season but be patient and enjoy your time there.

Maybe the slightly uneven path outside getting to the pool area but we found an internal route.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pestana Cidadela Cascais, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience. The hotel boasts an unbeatable location, offering stunning views and easy access to the beautiful coastline. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always willing to assist with any needs and ensuring a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The location is fabulous, walking distance to the center of town, yet quite and peaceful, within the citadel walls. We had a pleasant room overlooking the central square. Breakfast is a huge buffet with anything you can think of and all you can eat, with outdoor terrace overlooking the marina.

The corridor in the room was dark, so it was hard to see in the closets.Bathroom lighting not great either. Beds were not great. Housekeeping wasn't the best: they would leave empty bottles and dirty glasses.
