Spacious room with a great view from the balcony, liked the pool area too and breakfast included lots of options and was very well managed by the staff. Location is great for Cascais marina and easy to walk to the town centre too.

The mini bar costs were too expensive - would have used it had it been a little cheaper. The safe in my room didn’t work, but I was only here for one night so wasn’t a problem.

The hotel is in excellent location right across from the Marina where they have cafe restaurant shop hairdresser pharmacy bike shop etc. Room was very clean with a big balcony that was not overlooked and very private we had sea view and it was great. Restaurant was very big with a big bar area .The buffet breakfast was very good but dinner could do with some nice fancy cakes. All staff very nice and helpful. Lovely promenade walk to Estoril but it start down at the beach near the side of Train Station. One day was heavy rain so it was great to have the big palace villa next door to explore with the very big park attacked to it. If you walk through the park you come to two more museum including Paula Rego famous gallery with great paintings. Cascais small town was great with great restaurants and only ten minutes walk away. We loved the big plaza in front of tourist office in the centre of the town and the train into Lisbon. Unfortunately our stay was only 3 nights in October and we be definitely back again for longer.

Maybe the buffet dinner was expensive

The room was good and they provided a cot for my baby, free of charge. There was a complementary bottle of water provided every day. The food included with the half-board was great. The swimming pool area was nice and clean. All the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating.

You have to pay for everything, outside of the room price. The vault is paid extra. Any extra water is paid extra, Any toiletries except for soap is paid extra. There is no kettle in the room by default. There are no USB ports or extra plugs near the bed side tables to charge phones/devices The WiFi kept dropping. Accessibility with a pram was not great. Only one lift was working. There were ducks swimming in the swimming pool, which was fun to watch and the kids loved it. However, it could have exposed us to bird flu.

A large hotel in a great location, about 10 minutes from the main town. We booked a sea view room (I’d requested a high floor and was given floor 5), the view was spectacular. The room was large and comfortable, although not necessarily to my taste it was not tired although the kitchen didn’t look to have been updated with the rest of the room and wasn’t really useable. Check in was smooth and Sophia really helpful. In our experience the staff were all really friendly, especially Sany who worked at the pool bar. The pool area and gardens were really well looked after and spotlessly clean. The pool attendant removed towels and belongings of people trying to reserve a sun beds which was refreshing to see! Breakfast was good with lots of options, it could get a little hectic but no more than other hotels. The pool bar menu for lunch was good, but we didn’t use the restaurant in the evening as Cascais town offers some amazing restaurants that we wanted to try. Cascais is an expensive area and in my opinion Vila Gale offers fantastic value for money, and we would definitely book here again. Worth saying I’m sure what the fuss is about the lifts, there are 3 in reception and one near the spa. Yes, they are small but we never waited more than about a minute.

Tea and coffee making facilities should be available in the rooms, and the kitchenettes should be re-fitted.

Position and good facilities. Staff were excellent. Room was spacious and good water pressure. The pool area was immaculate and perfect .

"Gluten free " food was not up to standard. Would also have liked some variation in the self serve breakfast .

The blackout curtain in the bedroom didn't close properly (off the hook) as a result I woke up really early with the sun shinning into the bedroom. The first day I had a fabulous salmon wrap at the poolbar. It was so good I ordered the same the following day, only to get a green tomato wrap with a hint of salmon. Had to send it back. Came back better but with chuncks of lime peel... I did speak to the F&B manager about this. They must keep the standards regardless of who is in the kitchen.

Great location, in easy walking distance of Cascais Marina, Arts District, Cascais town centre and Estoril, (via sea-front promenade). Good sized pool with attractive pool area and gardens, Good quality sunbeds. Hotel provided pool towels, Good and reasonably priced poolside cafe. Excellent breakfast. Attractive indoor bar. Spacious and well-appointed room.

Room decor slightly dated (a bit dark). Pool area very busy (to be expected in August), though could always find sunbeds, if prepared to move around singles. Check-in slow.

Rooms were spacious. Staff great. Very clean and tidy all round . Great location to marina and town/ beaches. Golf courses accessible.

Not all inclusive. Elevators small and only 2/3 working.

elevator was very small and only could get 2 pp on an elevator with 2 prices of luggage.. understand that is structural but at check out very slow getting downstairs with kuggage

Breakfast was excellent – the fresh omelettes each morning were delicious, prepared by a lovely gentleman, and there was plenty of variety overall. However, there were no vegan milk or dairy-free options available. The staff were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, the pool was great, and both lunch and drinks were enjoyable. The only downside was the price – €4.50 for a small mineral water from a dispenser felt very expensive. One thing that did make me uncomfortable was seeing the dining room staff, who were always warm and polite, being treated unkindly by the hotel manager. On several occasions, I noticed the manager ignoring their greetings and speaking to them rudely. In my opinion, kindness costs nothing, and it was disappointing to witness.
