We had a wooden bungalow with a nice veranda that even had a hammock. There was no air conditioning in our room, but we did have a large electric fan. The shower room was very large, and the shower was hot. The bed had a full mosquito net fitted with spring clips to fully close it. The onsite restaurant food was very reasonably priced and had a varied menu. The beach is about 5 to 10 minutes walk away, and at the beach there is a nice hotel restaurant where you can watch the sunset. The.hotel came and collected us from the ferry terminal for free when we arrived, and they will take you back if you book ferry tickets with them. It's a nice relaxing place.

Our room had small gaps between the floor boards. It's not a real problem, but it makes me feel uncomfortable. My wife didn't have a problem with.it.

FANTASTIC PLACE! One of the best spots we have stayed in ever. The bungalows are in a great condition, and the beds have mosquito nets, so you do not have to worry about the bugs. It's just a few minutes walk from the nearest beach, and with several other beaches (both sandy and rocky) nearby. What made us love the place the most were the details, though: the garden around the bungalows is beautifully arranged, with trees and flowery bushes that are like a magnet for butterflies and tropical birds - we were lucky to see a few colorful sunbirds every morning, and heard many different birds sing in the evening. The hammock on the porch was a great addition, too. A perfect place to relax in, far from the noise of party places and tourist hotspots. It is very quiet there at night, and the night sky visibility is great, so perfect for romantic stargazing, too :). The food at the restaurant is very good, and the prices are not high at all. There are small minimarts and several great restaurants about 500 metres from the bungalows, too. You can rent a bike and snorkeling gear there, and refill your water bottle for a low cost.

Had a message from owner asking what time & ferry I was on and arranged a free pick up from pier Lovely clean and comfortable bungalow and they are all in nicely kept garden with hammock,hot water shower,fridge,kettle,tea,coffee and free water every day.i ate in restaurant a few times and the food was very nice.they have motorcycle,bicycles & mountain bikes for rent.very easy to get around island from their property and there is a lovely beach 5 minutes walk down the road.run by a really nice family who can speak good English and can help & book all your onward travel..I will definitely be back

Friendly Koh Jum really lives up to its name! The place represents friendliness and you get a feeling of being part of a family during your stay. The atmosphere is relaxed and very pleasant. Both we and our boys aged 15 and 17 loved the place and we already miss the people, the animals, the food and the incredibly good banana shakes! The bungalows are simply furnished, tidy and clean. They do not have air conditioning, but a fan. As Norwegians, we were a little worried in advance that it might get uncomfortably hot, but it was no problem! Each bungalow has its own veranda and it was nice to sit outside in the evenings to read a book, chat and enjoy a local beer. Friendly is known for its good food and people come from all over the island to eat there. We thought both the food and the atmosphere there were so good that we chose to eat all our meals there. We strongly recommend using Friendly directly for scooter or bike rental, they have it on site. We rented scooters, which are an excellent way to discover the island, the distances are short. We also recommend that you contact Friendly directly for assistance with all transport for your trip, to and from the island. Both before arrival and upon departure. Friendly found the best solutions for us!

No aircon, but as we have already mentioned, with the fan, it was not a problem!

Beautiful wooden bungalows set amongst gardens full of birds, flowers and plants. The beach is a 5-7 minute walk away, so are a couple of small shops. Rooms come with a fridge and kettle which is really good for this price range. Lovely porch with hammocks, comfortable bed and huge bathroom. Great value. The staff are lovely and Glin the owner speaks excellent English. The restaurant serves some of the best food on Jum. Recommend.

The island is so lovely and peaceful, very relaxing and can go all over. We loved the accommodation which was surrounded by trees so got some shade also the blinds on the veranda gave shade when needed.The only thing was the bed was hard but we got used to it and it is Thailand, we also managed with just a fan .The beach was close and great for swimming.Hired a scooter from here no problem.

I loved staying here. The woman who runs the restaurant and bungalows is hilarious and so kind. She gave me juice and aloe when I arrived, exasperated and sunburnt. The WiFi is strong, mini fridge in the room is such a bonus, and water heater and strong water pressure made for the best Thailand shower. You’re a short walk from the longest beach and also close to all the other restaurants. It’s easy to get lost in trying to find the “perfect” place to stay, but look no further, you’ll be happy and contented to stay here!!!

Friendly staff, great location, cute bungalows in the middle of the jungle 😊 We could hear all kinds of animals at night but no sound of traffic or civilization which was special. A really nice beach just 5 min walk away which is almost empty, not many tourists there. The food at the restaurant is also really good. Great value for money! We even got picked up from the pier, thanks a lot to everyone!

Really peaceful setting, lovely bungalows, super relaxing and only a short walk to a beautiful beach, what more could you want? I spent a lot of time in the hammock!

If you're travelling around the end of March/April just be aware that lots of restaurants close for the season (including at Friendly) but still options around

We loved everything about Friendly! The rooms are clean, spacious and secure. The shower in the bathroom was electric and powerful. We slept very well. The food served in the restaurant is delicious (if you don't stay here, you should definitely visit to eat). The staff are all lovely and we hope to return soon! Sitting on the bungalow porch, watching the birds on the surrounding flowers was a highlight for our stay. Thank you for a magical time on Koh Jum!
