Lovely small Hôtel perfectly located right at the port. Excellent customer service - attentive, supportive and knowledgeable about Cassis and the surrounding areas. Our room was compact but, not too small for a comfortable two night stay. Particularly beneficial was the air conditioning but, the highlight was the small balcony with glorious view of the port and out to the blue of the Mediterranean. Our bed was very comfy. All in our all we were more than pleased with our short sojourn to Cassis made that much more enjoyable and easy by our accommodation. We would certainly recommend the Hôtel Le Golfe.
If travelling by car it’s challenging accessing the property as it is located inside the driving limited area. Parking nearby is limited. However neither of these issues are pertinent to the quality of the hotel and fairly common in smaller towns and villages especially those close to the sea. So just a note to visitors to contact the hotel for advice-the staff are terrific in helping out.

Great value for money with a stunning view of Cassis' harbor. The room is exactly what you see in the photos (yes it's dated, but it's clean, simple and does the job). Very friendly receptionist with good local advice and she gave us towels for the beach. You can start a walk to the Calanques directly from the hotel, which is handy.
We saw some balconies were bigger, but ours could only fit 1 chair on it, which made it hard to enjoy a drink and the view together. No fridge in the room. Breakfast coffee was from a very sad machine. Beware: When I ordered a proper cappuccino from the bar, they charged me €39 instead of €3.90. It could have been an honest mistake, but watch out! Note: Parking needs to be booked in advance. Don't forget to do this or else you'll get stuck parking outside of town and taking a shuttle bus down to the village.

The location was fantastic and I booked a harbour view room, which was small but lovely for watching the world go by! The beach by the tourist office was beautiful. Clean, clear water, small stones not sand, toilets and showers nearby and literally two minutes to the little supermarket for snacks and drinks as well as the restaurant right on the beach.
Room was very small. Fine for me on my own but would have been a real squeeze with 2 people. Other reviews have said this hotel isn't value for money but if you consider it's rated two stars and compare it to the price of the only other two hotels on the harbour, I thought it was quite good value!

Had pre-booked our parking spot so parking was very easy (3spots at the front of the hotel protected by chain and padlock. Get key from reception, unlock and park. If you go out by car be sure to put chain across and lock to avoid someone stealing your spot). They will also allow you to use the disabled access for unloading/loading the car but not during your stay. Check in was easy, parasols and beach towels available by request. They also provided sun protection umbrellas to help out the 34 degree heat! These will all need returning at the end of your stay. Our room was not huge but big enough. We’d booked a superior room and had room 40 on the second floor. The balconies are tiny but you have a great view! Bathroom was a good size. Cleaning happened every day. Air con worked well. The bed was a king size and quite comfortable. This is a 2 star hotel but a great 2 star. I’ve been confused by some of the negative reviews moaning. The location was fabulous, at the quieter end of the harbour and right on the front. 2 beaches within easy walking. Shops are enough to wander round, the market was great! We didn’t take the breakfast option, it seemed quite steep. Instead we walked to the bakery (La Tarte Tropezienne) and had pastries and coffee in the park. If you need more substance they’ll also heat a croque. We also tried La Fontaine who, like many others, offer a few breakfast ‘meal deals’ with baguettes, jam and pastries. For an evening meal you are spoilt for choice. If you need a budget option, a takeaway pizza from La Stazione and a couple of cans from the Casino shop was €20 and we ate at the harbour.
Would have been great to have tea/coffee in the room but it was easy enough to get one in the cafe at the bottom.

Wonderful location right in the Port of Cassis. Restaurants and bars beneath you. The views were amazing and the staff were super friendly. Great location if you are walking the trails as they literally start just a short distance up the road. There is a beautiful beach within walking distance which offers pristine clear water. The air conditioning worked well and the room was very comfortable.
WiFi was a bit hit and miss and there was no fridge in the room but you could leave a few items with reception as they had a fridge for guests to use. Nothing to complain about really, we loved our stay in Cassis.

Superb location! View of the harbour and bars and restaurants and beautiful hilltop castle. Clean comfortable room ( Room 32) good buffet breakfast which cost 13 euros. Reception staff friendly and helpful and I was able to borrow a kettle to make tea. Was able to purchase mini UHT sachets from mini mart in the centre of cassis about 5 mins walk away. For a 2 star hotel, it provides comfortable, clean accommodation at an amazing location. There is a popular bar/restaurant which is on the ground floor looking on to the harbour. I have based my score on the hotel knowing it is 2stars. Good value for money. Spent 2 nights at hotel. Photos view from the room.
A fridge/Kettle and safe would make a big difference, maybe even upgrade your stars to 3? Even if the room rate went up I would happily pay to stay! Have just arrived at a 3 star hotel in Nice, room rate double from your hotel, room not as nice as your hotel, despite Kettle/Fridge and safe, you have a little gem, show it off, it's certainly worth more!

The hotel sits directly on the port at the end of the avenue of restaurants. The hotel was super clean and recently refurbished inside. The rooms are small but comfortable and work well for a short stay in the lovely town of Cassis. The hotel offers an expanded continental breakfast which is quite reasonable. Breakfast is served on a sunny quay side terrace.
The rooms are on the smaller side, particularly the bathroom but you aren’t in Cassis to be indoors.

Fantastic location in Cassis, well worth paying the extra for a room with a sea view. There is everything you need in the room and the hotel restaurant below was great for lunch. Easy to walk to everything Cassis has to offer. Worth booking parking through the hotel as on street parking can be a challenge when busy. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nothing to dislike.,

Our room was adequate in size with a queen sized bed, aircon was needed and worked well due to outside temp being 30 degrees. The location was perfect, situated in town and adjacent to the boat harbour. Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. The continental breakfast had a good range of food and was worth the money.
Our room faced the street so next time I’ll book the superior room with views of the harbour.

The view overlooking Cassis harbour was sublime. It was quiet at night. We received a very warm welcome. Cassis is a beautiful town & there are plentiful dining options right on your doorstep.
We struggled to get a comfortable temperature with the air- conditioning. While we found the reception staff very friendly & helpful, the same cannot be said of the staff in the cafe below (we did not eat breakfast).
