Everything was clean and as shown in photographs. Staff were attentive, and the hotel offered a lot of affordable luxury. I had read low-score reviews online, and saw that these were linked to room size and room atmosphere; to my knowledge I had one of the cheapest rooms in the hotel, and it still had a spacious and luxurious feel to it. It may be small for Goa, I don't know, but compared to the UK, it was larger, and with a veranda/balcony area!

Some guests listened to music/videos out loud instead of using headphones, I think the hotel should challenge this to maintain its luxury atmosphere. It was only one or two individuals, and it would by no means deter me from coming back.

Location: beachfront hotel close to town (5 min walk) where ships and restaurants are and close to excellent shacks on the beach. Staff: just excellent. Would like to say special thanks to Diga (Digambre) at the restaurant and Jitendra who took care of us throughout our stay. Diga always found us a place to sit during busy breakfast and took special care of me when I wasn’t feeling well suggesting dishes and adjusting them. Both he and Jitendra were helpful and courteous. Pool was modern and really nice to swim in. Hotel is extremely clean and modern. Staff make an extra effort reminding people to take shower before entering pool which I found very good - no sand in the pool!

Only 7 sunbeds around pool - almost impossible to find place to lie down. 3-4 sun beds overlooking beach but not clear whether we can use them as they were at the area of restaurant not belonging to hotel.

Excellent breakfast. Lots of variety for everyone! Delicious food. Made to order masala dosa and eggs Beautiful view of the Sea. Check in staff very helpful and polite. Dattram and Stalin were attentive. Pool side - staff attentive. Rooms - very clean

Breakfast gets busy and very noisy. Get there early. One recommendation - It would be great to add felt underneath the legs of chairs as it’s very loud when patrons move chairs to get up, etc.! Can’t imagine how loud it would be for the guests staying directly below !

A great hotel in Camdolim - southern tip. Staff were so lovely and helpful. Special shout out to the pool staff. Room was comfortable and clean - make sure you book a view room. Not the basic deluxe double. These were no good. We moved. The food was excellent - we tried many things once breakfast buffet. All was great. Pool was lovely - but can get busy! There were lots of families there on our last day and it got really noisy. But we just moved down to the beach area so was ok. The beach and Yazu beach bar area was fab and wonderful to watch the sunset. Amazing trip - would def go back.

Lots of mosquitos - but lots of greenery so…. Bring your repellent The run off around the pool was dirty and black Mould - difficult to get to clean it I imagine - especially during high season. But still it stained when it touched swim shorts and just looks horrid.

Amazing staff that made us feel so welcome. Ozzy the manager is the best gyu, so funny and chatty and helpful and he did the stay for us. The pool area is very beautiful, the food and drinks they serve is great and good tasting both western dishes and indian. The location is great, so close to the beach.

The view from our room was a big «garbage dump» where they burned a lot of garden trash every day. The selection on the breakfast was ok, but mostly indian dishes. But since it was almost none western tourist in the hotel or in any place in Goa at the moment, we understand that.

Location is fantastic, right on Candolim beach. The rooms are clean and the ones with the sea-view are few but very good. Property is well laid-out & maintained. Food at the restaurant is good.

The beach side bar is prohibitively expensive Mosquitoes are an issue in the evening if you choose to sit by the pool side or on the lawn.

Clean , modern hotel. Room is very good with balcony and nice modern washroom Staff is courteous, has very good swimming pool with plenty of pool toyz for kids. Awesome beach facing property which is super convenient Yazo- Asian restaurant on the property is very good!!

Breakfast can improve. It does not live upto the expectations of the hotel other facilities and seems like 3 star in terms of food taste or quality and choices

Staff were great, breakfast amazing. The hotel has a beachfront bar attached which seems to run as a separate business. The pool was nice. You can access the beach right in front of the hotel and there are no sunbeds spoiling the view.

Our twin room overlooked the street with taxi rank opposite, though other rooms had better locations- worth asking about this. Service for lunch at the poolside was really slow.

Their staff were the biggest problem. Mainly the reception desk. They have huge non-welcoming faces and attitudes.

OUR STAY AT MARQUIS WAS VERY NICE. A BANG ON BEACH PROPERTY. STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL. HOUSEKEEPING AND ROOM SERVICE TOO WAS GOOD ON THURSDAY FRIDAY OF OUR STAY. Pool was nice and kids enjoyed throughly. As it got busy on saturday we could feel the crowd and the demands. Breakfast was a good spread and tasty too. can improve on regular goan dishes. On the whole we will certainly look at coming here again..
