This is the best location on the island with a quiet beach on the cove. We read so many good reviews. We knew the location was so perfect, and it looked up to our expectations.

We stayed three nights and there is no cleaning service only on third night, but it really didn’t bother us because when I asked them to sweep and mop because there was so much sand in the room, they complied and there wasabroom and dust pan in the room, which I could sweep myself just because it was so close to the beach it was hard not to get sand in the room. Maybe I would add a little place to wash your feet by the room I definitely wouldn’t stay here.again!

Staying at The Mauian Hotel felt more like coming home than staying at a resort. Yes, the rooms may be a bit outdated, but they are impeccably clean and well-maintained, which made all the difference. The housekeeping staff, especially Aunty Martha, was simply amazing. Our towels were changed daily, and our room was always restocked with shampoo, soap, and conditioner. They even switched out our beach towels promptly! Despite their demanding work, they were always smiling, and their warmth truly shone through. Don, the night security during the weekdays, greeted us with such a genuine welcome. He made sure we were comfortable, offering plenty of friendly suggestions. On weekends, Uncle Eddie was just as wonderful. He helped us with laundry change, turned on the grill for us, and was always cheerful and ready to lend a hand. The warmth of the staff is what will bring me back here. They made the experience feel personal and truly special, like being part of a family. The hotel itself is peaceful and quiet—a true vacation haven. I can’t wait to return!

Just a bit outdated

Coming from Europe we fell in love with Napili beach during our honeymoon many years ago. The Mauian Hotel was the affordable solution for us with kids. We also didn't want one of those huge, anonymous places to stay and were not disappointed. The Mauian is one of the most beautiful resorts we have been to: lots of huge palm and plumeria trees. The vegetation shows that it is not a new resort but one that has been there for many many years. The pool in the middle of the resort is not the newest or biggest but everybody meets there for barbecueing and sozialising. The beach is just perfect! Many guests revisit and know each other - very familiar and family orientated (which also means quite a lot of rules like e.g. pool hours annd quiet time) We absolutely loved everything: the torches, the room, the gardens, the beach, the security guy.....

I wish there was SOME equipment in the kitchenette. We had a room without cooking possibility and therefore had to get everything you need for basically a week "camping": cuttlery, a pan, plates, a sharp knife, basics such as oil, salt, pepper....The only thing there was was a bottle opener and two cups and two glasses.....

Location & access to beach; kitchen in room nicely appointed; grounds well kept

Staff not engaging. Housekeeping limited due to staffing restrictions( they did a good job though); ran out of beach chairs. Used to have continental breakfast- now gone

This was the feel I was looking for during our entire 2 week trip. Ground floor, greenery, on the beach. It was absolutely everything that I had expected of Hawaii.

Wish that we had the opportunity to stay longer. This was our last night in Maui and heading home the next day. We did make the most of it but wish we had time to enjoy the pool.

the property itself is beautiful, with a great small pool, an amazing beach, and beach chairs to use for free. the room was excellent with a view of the Gardens and sea. the security guard who was there and welcomed us Wednesday and Thursday nights was so warm, welcoming, and helpful.

the front desk staff and kitchen staff were not friendly at all, and even refused us silverware when we asked for it to eat leftovers (we had a fridge in our room, and they said they could only give them to guests with full kitchens, which was ridiculous. we had to ask the restaurant down the street for takeaway silverware). additionally, when we booked the hotel, we were told there would be a continental breakfast each day, and there was only BAD coffee and juice. a lady came in and asked where the food was, and said she had stayed here for 7 years and there was always food. this was disappointing.

Location, cleanliness, accommodations, friendly staff, and location to beach and restaurants.

Parking lot is a bit difficult to access And accommodate vehicles . Too narrow of parking spaces. Unable to smoke on the patios and beach.

Lovely location, our booking got lost but was resolved with a room upgrade, thank you. Sunsets fabulous and the evening security guard gets 10 out of 10.

Reading reviews we expected a light breakfast but were told no longer available just coffee or a juice. Gave car registration as requested but later found a note on my car threatening to tow it away. Resolved this after a chat with the Manager, could have done without it, took the edge off the day. I was offered a discount on the room but declined as I didn't want my point of view to seem like I was trying for that.

Right on the beach. It's a small hotel that has character. There are no TVs, phones, or much in the room. We got an actual key to unlock the door. Different rooms have different views. We had room 212, and the view was great. Get an upper-floor room if you can. The beach out from the property is public but is limited access. There are not many places for the public to park. This is nice because the beach feels more private and is less crowded.

Wish they had more of a breakfast service. After we had booked, the hotel informed us that they would no longer be offering fruit and pastries in the morning. Said they were getting hard to source. Not sure if that's really the reason. Also, be aware that while there is free parking, it's limited and fills up fast. There are places to park along the road, but during the day, everyone is parked there to access the beaches.

The daily coffee and juice were great to have each morning in the community room next to the check in. The gardens surrounding the hotel are gorgeous and well taken care of. The location is perfect. Our room was only a few steps to a lovely beach for all ages of people.

The room was nice, but too dark.
