This place is incredible! There is so much beautiful scenery and so many animals! The non predators roam free. At the cottage we stayed in, we had warthogs, zebras, and an ostrich all visit us on different days. There were a lot of birds to see on the lake and we even had a visit from a bat that ate the annoying bugs. ( it didn’t come close to us). I LOVE this place!!

Nothing major. The only small issue we had was that the WiFi really didn’t work well at all at the cottage. But I could get cell service from my eSIM when I stood on the deck overlooking the water. Also, the WiFi worked great at the restaurant when we ate our meals. If we stayed in the lodge, I’m sure it would have been a better signal.

Glen Afric is a little gem. The management, staff, and games guides could not do enough for their guests. Zelke, Melody, Mita, Max, and the rest of the staff whose names have now slipped my mind were incredible and made for a truly amazing stay. George and his team who look after the elephants are amazing and of course the star of the show 'Three' and her 2 daughters are magnificent. I highly recommend the walk with elephants and the sunset drive with a bottle of bubbles. A truly magnificent place. My 3rd visit and hopefully not my last.

Love the location, you really do feel like you're in Africa here. Been here so many times before but this was our first stay. Really enjoyed being at Glen Afric and could only say it was perfect for us but if you want more perfect facilities of an upmarket hotel then go there. My first choice would always be Glen Afric. Lovely restaurant and very nice pool.

Not much really, lighting could be a bit better in the room we were in but overall we loved it all

The photos and reviews of this place do not do it justice! The location is perfect - not too far from Hartes & Johannesburg. We hired a car to get there from Randburg and it was an easy and fun experience (we hired from Bluu cars). The hotel itself is STUNNING. It has everything you need; a gorgeous serene pool, plenty of spots to sit and relax overlooking the amazing views, stunning nature, plenty of places to enjoy the most delicious food I have ever had in my life and all the wildlife! On our first evening we were having dinner at the restaurant and saw a Zebra walking by - then in the morning a giraffe greeted us while we were having breakfast - plus so much more. The staff are SO friendly and helpful and its very secure - there are guards patrolling 24/7 and keeping you safe.

Charming and interesting location. Traditional but well maintained hotel, huge restaurant with lovely views to a duck pond and garden below, then out to a marvellous vista leading to nearby hills. Zebras and Giraffes came good and close to the property fence at times. Staff friendly and helpful, especially our guide Nadia and the bubbly young lady serving dinner then breakfast on 8 and 9 November respectively. Nadia also took us to the "Wild At Heart" house set, which we loved. Interesting and fun game drive, seeing nearby elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, warthogs and (in enclosures) lions, cheetahs, leopards and (pet rescue) tigers.

Breakfast was great .The activities there are just amazing...we enjoyed especially interacting with Elephants ...we were just blown away ..what a wow dalins👌. It was a memorable & a beautiful stay.Grateful to Glen Afric Team ...remain blessed 🙌🏾

The cocktails at first but the bar man did well on his recommendations ,very kind staff. We had a good time...

Loved the property and all it had to offer. The lions 🦁 were my best, waking up to and listening out for them as amazing.

Power was a problem and also experienced a water issue which did not help on the day we flew in and needed a shower. But we tried to not let it get to us!

The lodge was very clean and beautiful. We had the Livingston room which had an amazing view!!! The restaurant was good- we ate there every night. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend the game drives- very personal and interesting.

Only thing I could point out is the hot water. For some reason the shower in our room didn’t work that well and only one person was able to shower with hot water. The second person would have to shower in cold water which isn’t ideal in winter.

The staff went above and beyond, being exceptionally helpful in guiding us to our room. They made our anniversary truly memorable by adding a special touch, with no additional charges. They adorned the bed with delicate flower petals and skillfully crafted towels into swan shapes forming a heart.

The service at the restaurant for our dinner was a tad sluggish took long to serve us and did not check up on us if we wanted to order additional drinks ect.

Lovely location and setting. Great environment with small game park setting. Welcoming staff team from restaurant to rangers. Lovely lodges although slightly dependent on transfer back to main site. Great to see the filming location for BBCs Wild at Heart.
