La porta vecchia is fantastic place! It is perfectly located in the old town, close to everything. If you have car, you can park nearby in the street for free, and it is just a short walk from the B&B. Rooms are very clean, beautifully decorated, bed is very comfortable. But the best part of La porta vecchia is Cosima and her husband Luigi! They are so welcoming and friendly, they did everything so we felt like home, with dear friends! Cosima helped in planning our trips to Apulian small towns, and served fresh and fulfilling breakfast every morning. Monopoli is so lovely town, well worth visiting! Thank you Cosima and Luigi, we'll be back:)))

Lovely little place. Would stay again. Parking was about 5 mins walk outside of the historic centre on street. We drove for a bit and found a space no issue. This was July so busy season. Loved Monopoli. We had booked polignano but changed to Monopoli and was so pleased we did. Breakfast on the roof terrace with homemade pastry, juices and cappuccino was lovely. Cosima was welcoming and friendly. Air con great. Loved staying here.

We absolutely loved our 10 day stay. Cosima gave us such a lovely warm welcome. Everything was wonderful and it really felt like home from home. Breakfasts on the roof terrace with amazing freshly baked pastries were fantastic. Our room was cleaned every day and nothing was too much trouble. I even got to practice my limited Italian :)

Not for anyone with mobile issues, very steep steps to breakfast area. Rooms are not sound proofed as stated, you can hear conversations on street, furniture moved on roof top, very early morning kitchen noises. Warm nights while I was there surely merited a change of bed linen twice at least during my weeks stay. Departing room at 10.30 with luggage keeping facility is fine if your flight is midday. There is no place to change clothes for colder climes and more importantly no toilet facilities for later departures. That for me was a big minus therefore would reflect under comfort.

This Monopoli B&B shines! The room was super clean, and breakfast on the beautiful terrace was a highlight. Cosima, one of the owners, bakes incredible cakes that truly make the morning special. The two sisters who run the place are super helpful and friendly, making for a truly warm and welcoming stay. Highly recommended for a personal touch in Monopoli!

The location is perfect , in the heart of the old city, 2 minutes walk from the cathedral and Avery short walk from the beach Porta vecchia. The stuff is very welcoming. The room is very nice, convenient and cozy. The B&B has 2 terraces on the roof, where breakfast is served,, the decoration reminds of the Greek islands, and the view from up is amazing,. everything in the B&B is made and decorated with a good style.

Only thing was that the “kitchen rules” were not visibly posted and there was a misunderstanding in our being able to use it- there was also confusion about the key upon checkout - This would all be unnecessary if the rules and Instructions were CLEARLY posted (in kitchen and rooms) We enjoyed our stay but were also happy to leave. Thank you and again we apologize for any inconvenience

everything really... location was right in the center but silent and quiet, comfortable bed, and finally a proper hairdryer instead of those weak ones you usually get .. the breakfast is served on the terrace with marvelous views and you get a different t cake every morning 😍 Cosima, the hostess, is very helpful and give you amazing tips on what to explore... and she also bakes some lovely biscuits 😍

This lovely place is located in the middle of the old city, 2 minutes away from the seafront. It’s a beautiful building and the room was equally lovely, clean and spacious. Cosima is an exceptional hostess, a real pleasure to interact with. As was the lady who served breakfast, super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was another delight: homemade pastries, jams and yogurt (which was my favourite) served on the beautiful terrace. The terrace is another highlight of the property, offering beautiful views and a perfect place to sit and relax whenever you want to. Monopoli is a wonderful place to stay in, a hidden gem of Puglia, and so is this B&B. Cannot recommend enough!

Right in the heart of old Monopoli Porta Vecchia is a welcome retreat and the perfect spot to spend a few days. Great breakfast, warm hospitality and a lovely room. When I am back in Monopoli... definitely I am coming here!! grazie
