I booked this property for rest and relaxation, and it’s exactly what I got. The best thing about the property was the staff. Nivia, Calvin, Juan and all… everyone was very friendly and accommodating. They even arranged for a ride back to David because it is so remote and I did not have a rental car. The beach is very close room was comfortable, air conditioner worked, and water pressure in the shower was awesome. they also had food available (and it was delicious ) because the restaurant is on site.

If travelers do not have a rental car, this place can be remote. So do you research. I came off-season, and there were not a lot of people or things to do. This is exactly what I wanted. But if you want action, you will want to come in season, and have a rental car.

Good wifi, good air con, clean, comfy bed, very helpful friendly staff. Manager helped me order airport taxi and sorted out any small issues quickly. Located next to beach, nice restaurant and lovely food, good waiter service, good, large shower. Microwave and fridge a real bonus. Was upgraded to one bedroom suite which was much appreciated. Very quiet. For the price I paid I enjoyed my stay.

Bathroom a bit dated, plastic seating furniture in apartment lounge and sparsely decorated. Bedroom smelt strongly of damp. It was low season so many amenities closed and under maintainence eg second pool and outdoor bar closed and under repair, (but indoor bar open). Main pool not clean (leaves, dust floating on it), outdoor areas dishevelled or not attended to. Presumably it's better in high season. A little isolated, need car to get there or $16 Uber taxi from David, or $30 dollar hotel taxi to David.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We rented a two bedroom suite, which was perfect for our needs. It was great to have that option! The restaurant was very nice and we were very happy with everything we ordered, except the holadres, which were basically inedible. Having two pools was great so that we could chase the shade!

The outdoor furniture in the living area had no pads which made for uncomfortable sitting. The manager tried to help by bringing blankets to use for padding, but they were inadequate. The website listed a coffee pot in the room as an amenity, however there was none present. One was delivered to the suite after it was requested, unfortunately, coffee filters were not included so it was unusable.

The hotel was really close to the beach and the beach had beautiful sparkling black sand which was so soft to walk on. The pool was very nice to way in with two sides to the pool. One side was in the sun where the other was shaded by some trees so you could have the best of both if desired.

They offered some spa services, but they were not considerate of my time. I asked for a time for a message and was given one a few days after I had requested. A few hours before my appointment I was rescheduled by the masseuse as they were not able to make our appointment. This happen a second time the next appointment so I just cancelled the service all together believing they were not really interested in my business.

I loved the apartment with the stairs, the balcony and the wonderful view on palm trees and the barqueta beach with its beautiful waves! The pool was just a few steps away so I could switch between pool and beach in just a short time. The staff was extremely welcoming, I would like to thank especially Alan and Manuel for their extraordinary attention and solution focused service during the stay of those 2 weeks. The barqueta beach invites for long walk on the beach and impresses with wild waves and stunning sunsets. Will definitely back next year for another time out and recovery from daily city life! The beach and the pool were great! The food was very good. There was a good selection for the complimentary breakfast.

The facilities need some updating and there was little to no selection for souvenirs or clothing to buy. The game boards had no game pieces

This is an older resort, mostly for promotion but the owners live on the property so the restaurant is excellent, cows mooing on one side and waves crashing on the other......DO NOT GO IN THE OCEAN....The staff is excellent, show them love with good tips and your time there will be much more enjoyable!

this was, maybe, my 20th time staying here... as always the staff are freindly and considerate! The property is getting a bit dated.. but overall the rooms have been updated and are extremely comfortable! The food is pretty consistently good! We love the traquility and peacefulness of the resort!

The grounds and outside of the resort are a bit neglected and dated... but over all it is a beautiful space.

There is a very nice pool area, gym and restaurant. I liked all of these things - but nothing was nicer than the friendly helpful staff and the beautiful family atmosphere and welcoming environment for people of all ages.

It could be updated - example- not enough electrical outlets in the rooms.

Low rise facility on the beach. Beach was amazing. Great waves for surfing.

Floors very slippery when wet! Only English tv station was Fox news. Property not close to anything.
