The whole package (room/facility/common areas/lobby/patios/balconies/parking/grounds/the "Stylo Restaurant") and the good people that provide such EXCELLENCE in service (to all guests and visitors) was better than the best. The feeling generated by what one saw, heard, and experienced was that HCD was visited regularly by God and by Joy. No, Really! Every detail, every person, every corner of the building and everything in it, a blessing to every guest, both young and old, plus those visiting and dropping by for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a drink each day / evening. Everyone associated with HCD that we saw and got to know, wanted to be there, to serve, and be served (through the guests wanting to show their pleasure and appreciation for the expert and kind care freely offered by each employee). You receive the feeling and attention that you are adopted into the HCD Family, and you WILL be treated as such! Bottom Line, if you come, you will understand these words: "Better Is Impossible"

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Ciudad de David, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—the staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with a smile. Their commitment to quality and hospitality is evident in every interaction. The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was well-prepared with fresh ingredients and rich flavors. The hotel’s restaurant provides a top-tier dining experience, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Another highlight is the cleanliness of the hotel. Everything was spotless, well-organized, and had a fresh, pleasant scent throughout. The environment is not only clean but also incredibly welcoming and comfortable. Without a doubt, Hotel Ciudad de David is a wonderful place to relax or stay during a business trip, where every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. I highly recommend it and will definitely return.

Very much deserves its 4 stars, they're really on top of it. Friendly and professional staff, impeccably clean. We were lucky and got upgraded to a larger room, which was very spacious, but I think the regular rooms are fairly large as well. Full bar and a restaurant with a very decent menu. Located right in the center of David close to everything you need. Nice views, too. There's also a pool and a gym, though we didn't use those. Prices are absolutely fair for what you get.

The 'worst' thing I can say is that the bar closes at 10, and we couldn't buy a bottle of water at 10.15-ish - but then got additional complimentary water bottles from the reception instead. 11 would be nice for a 4-star hotel bar, but it's not exactly a huge drawback.

Everyone who worked there was friendly, went above and beyond, and gave exceptional service. The free breakfast was varied and delicious. I had dinner there a couple times and the food was also good. Excellent location - able to walk to the bus station, grocery stores, shops, parks, restaurants.

Over the weekend, there was loud music from I'm guessing a nearby venue that went pretty late. Nothing too crazy though.

We have chosen to make Hotel Ciudad de David the hotel we always stay at when in David. The accommodations are wonderful. It is clean, quiet, with spacious rooms. The dining area is exceptional with a nice selection of tasty food morning, noon & evening. The staff are pleasant & helpful. Everything you would want for a vacation stay! The staff was very helpful and appreciated us trying to speak Spanish with them. All of our many meals were tasty and filling. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was well-appointed.

Two pieces of equipment in the gym were broken. Unfortunate to have the multi-exercise machine not available.

The breakfast was excellent, with a very good variety of different choices. The presentation was very nice and the staff were great and very attentive. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet! The maid service always kept the room nice and clean.

I was disappointed to see that the survey of my first stay at your hotel did not mention the names of the staff that I wanted to commend for their exceptional work. So, I will mention their names now, again. 1. The receptionist at the desk --SRA. Zuleima Aguilar----who was exceptional & very attentive. 2. Sr. Reynoso, who helped me with booking my flight On my second stay, I have to commend these same people, & including Carlos, the night receptionist for his attentiveness & help when I arrived early in the morning.

Truly amazing service. World class customer service, or even better! Great comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast! Excellent little café in the main hall. These people know how to run a great hotel. Congrats!

The room is wonderful until your turn on the lights. They installed “cool white” bulbs in the lamps instead of “warm white”, and it gives the room the feeling of being in a supermarket. A little detail that would make the room so much warmer and cosy looking.

This hotel was exactly what I needed. I was in David for medical tests. Because my home is in Boquete, about a half hour's drive away, I decided to also run a few errands. My experience with fine hotels has been at conventions. I expect the restaurant to be fair, but overpriced. The Ciudad de David exceeded all my expectations in every way. The menu allowed a variety of tastes and prices. I eat small meals and most menus can't fit this limitation. Not only did I find fair prices, moderate quantities of food, and excellent tasting dishes, the serving staff was attentive and kind.

I honestly think this was one of my best hotel stays in any country for many years! The room, the food, the service, the ambiance, the parking it was all exceptional. Our 8 day stay could not have been better. While ALL the staff were very good Paola in the restaurant was even above that! I highly recommend this hotel.

Well I struggle to find negatives but if I must.. The pool has no lounge chairs and the street exhaust sometimes fill the air in the pool area. Perhaps some lounge chairs and fans to blow away the exhaust.. But both of these are minor.
