The place is really a corner of heaven far away from the chaos of everything. It really allows you to forget the world for as long as you stay there. Staff was super friendly, and there were services for all my needs. I had a massage, food at the restaurant was super good both at breakfast and dinner, and as I wished to do a trip to some monuments and temples, they organised a guided tour for me even recommending me which places to visit. Only thing to improve were some stains on curtains of the room and that’s it. For the rest super and I would definitely would like to come back. FYI consider the position: it is a bit remote if you want to travel a lot around the island - possible to do but maybe not the easiest

Breakfast was great. Good selection to choose from. We love the location and the grounds/garden of the property. The pool's central location is perfect. Great way to cool down when you're hot from lying around on the lounges for too long. Swimming at the beach, which is directly out the front, was beautiful. We were able to do a couple of scuba dives each day, then relax all afternoon. All the staff are wonderful. This was our 7th visit in 17 years, which surely is testimony to how much we like Scuba Seraya. Some of the staff have been there since our first visit.

The paint work is getting very tired and almost a bit shabby looking and we weren't too keen on the bathroom upgrades. The flooring and shower lining didn't real suit the island look.

Staff, location, decor, comfort, cleanliness and... some of the best diving in the world! Not only the shore dive in front of the resort is outstanding (world-class), but the whole diving experience is seamless. Easy, walk from the beach into the boat, or simply dive at the front. I am a diving professional and I speak with knowledge, having operated diving centres in different countries and settings. The whole Team, from the restaurant crew, to the diving, pool cleaner, gardeners, office, housekeepers, security (not that it's needed but it's normal in Indonesia), and last but not least, the welcoming owner... outstanding experience and definitely we did not want to leave.

Everything was PERFECT

The grounds and setting (right on the coast) are spectacular. I loved falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean, and going for sunrise swims every morning. I can’t recommend it enough if you have your own transport (as it’s in Talumben, which is about 15 mins drive from Amed) and want to switch off. The staff are also very sweet.

The rooms are comfortable enough, but dated and run down. With this in mind, the nightly rate is ambitious. The price for food is excessive too, especially with the 21% tax and 3% surcharge for card payments added on.

Style and location of the property is absolutely our taste - right by the beach and still a well maintained garden oasis with green grass (no sand between the toes), naturally shadowed by palm trees and everywhere a lot of space inside and outside. It gives a feeling of lightness and freedom - you can breathe! Our room was spacious, bed large and comfy, outdoor bathroom also spacious. I do appreciate also that there was no fridge in the room, because I don't like the sound. The staff was super lovely and everything was really 10+ clean. We will be back.

Communication before arrival very slow. Facilities in the room are very basic. 4 power outlets in the room (2 phones, 1 water boiler, 1 more behind the entrance door) and one power outlet in the bathroom. What about computer and iPad, or even photographers: they need to charge camera, 2 strobes, focus light, snoot... per person. Facilities in the bathroom are very basic. We had 2 bath towels and 2 pool towels, but only one 3-bar-drying rack and not a single hook. Where to put bikini, board shorts, rash guard, bandana, hanging toiletry bags, rain jackets? Restaurant: Portions small, pricy and there were 21% added.

The place is very cozy, calm, and quiet with a beachfront view, the landscape is amazing - beautiful sunset and Mount Agung at the back. The staff are very helpful, friendly and nice. Internet connection is good for working, both in the common area and in the room. The place is clean and private with a very nice clean interior. Love that they use glass refill bottles for water refill instead of plastic - appreciate their sustainability efforts.

Coffee is Nescafe, better if they can provide Balinese coffee (filter or traditional tubruk is better) or any other coffee. Other people`s reviews on extra fees for using cards really helped us. We withdrew some cash at the ATM for this. Better to remove this 2-5% additional fee for cards (debit or credit), most of us are cashless now.

Wonderful small resort in the quiet area of Tulamben with a beautiful view. One is able to enjoy the sunrise, even from own terrace of the villa. The view was amazing. The pool was clean and the property is nicely designed and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and nice at all times, also cared for laundry and tour quide arrangements. Local meals have been very good, as well as breakfast. The room was always kept clean and was very spacious. The outdoor bathroom was very nice as well.

The rain shower isn't working properly, but wasn't too dramatic. I personally liked the local meals better than pasta etc. but that's subjective. The massage was done in front of the room, without providing much privacy, not even closing the mosquito net. Sure, there's not much around in the area, but I knew that before arrival, so I was fine with it.

The hotel has a wonderful sea view, especially if you book a villa right on the front line. It has a nice territory and offers great value for the price.

The hotel does need some renovation, especially in the second-row accommodations, where the bathroom facilities are located in open-air spaces and there is quite a bit of mold on the walls due to humidity. Despite needing repairs, for the price it offers, it’s still a good hotel overall.

Everything 💯 It was an oasis away from the bustle outside - after a long 2.5 hr drive it was such a stunning location to spend a few days chilling by the pool & ocean in the prettiest gardens & so peaceful! The rooms are basic but who needs more when it’s about the outside living - the bathrooms are large & I loved that they felt outdoors. It’s quite expensive to eat & drink but the food was excellent & service spot on - nothing was too much trouble. Our son dived 5 dives here & came back with excitement for what he’d seen & he loved the night dive. The dive guys were brilliant & helpful - he luckily had them totally to himself.

Really loved it all !!
