I could walk (900m) to Messe Koeln train station and to the city (about same distance). Price was my critical factor. Price was good and included good breakfast. Bed was comfortable, shower was good, quiet at night. Nice people.

It is up one flight of stairs maybe 20-25 stairs and the small lady kindly and I (small lady too) co carried up my (multi handled) luggage-bag - I couldn’t expect her to do it solo. So if you have heavy luggage and can’t carry it up stairs solo and only have one handle maybe don’t stay here or notify owner first so they’re prepared. Everything was perfect except stairs - as would be very difficult solo carrying luggage up for me. I came down solo no problem.

A very well located hotel, at a short walk from Deutz/Masse train station and from the Hohenzollern bridge. The host doesn't speak English, but is very welcoming and nice, so we managed to communicate anyway. The Hotel is in what looked like an historical building, so there is no lift and the staircase is tight, however the building is very clean and well kept. Rooms are small if compared to the average hotel, and storage space is not a lot, but beds are comfortable and there is enough furniture to facilitate a short stay. In our room there was no A/C and we kept the windows open, which wasn't a problem as the neighborhood seemed to be quiet. The bathroom is small as well, but recently refurbished, very clean and with all the equipment we needed, including a hairdryer. Shower is quickly hot and powerful. Breackdast is served at the bar by the reception and hæse a good assortment of good quality products for both sweet and sour breakfast. We used Tempelhof for a one night stay for business purposes. I would use again if I was to travel with my partner for a couple of nights.

Nothing was really bad, but there are a few things that I would point out for other users to make an informed choice. The absence of a lift may be a limit for older people or people with disabilities, or those who like to complain too easily. The absence of A/C might be an issue during the summer months. Høst might invest some time in learning English, but this is an easy fix.

Little familiar hotel in Deutz, near the historical center (crossing one of the bridges over the river) and in a very quiet area. I travelled on my own and had a single room. The size of the room was good. The bathroom was a bit small but had a big and modern shower. Comfortable single bed and good towels, very clean. Good wifi and a nice breakfast with a bit of everything. I was also given a bowl with a mix of fruit. I stayed only one night and the hotel fulfilled all my expectations, all and all a very good value for money.

The only but was that the room was a bit cold as the heating was turned off. Not a huge drama but a bit unconfortable.

The hotel is very good for the money. Location is perfect especially for events at Lanxess Arena. There are a few supermarkets around the corner. You can use any public transport around or even walk by the river and on the bridge, 20-25 min walk to the Dom. Great option for budget travellers! The only weird thing that happened was that the tv in the room started on it’s own at 3 a.m. while I was sleeping given the fact that I didnt even see the remote in the room and I dont truly believe in any abnormal things, I dont lnow how to explain this but it happened.

The location of the hotel is really good and in quiet neighborhood. Few minutes of walk from the "Old town" and to Lanxess Arena (definitely recommend this hotel when you are going on any event there). Check-in possible anytime, without problem. Room and bathroom was spacious and clean.

Good continental breakfast with breads/ meats/cheeses and lots of fresh fruit & cereals. The location was fab- in a nice quiet neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, but it’s only a 10-minute walk across the bridges into central cologne. Plus, we could store our bags after checking out. Very polite and helpful staff. Spartan, basic room but with comfy bed.

German pillows are very different to UK! Huge & either too soft or too hard. Yes, that does sound like Goldilocks…

The location is at walkable distance from the city centre. The room is quite big and cosy. Also, the breakfast was nice.

If I remember correctly, the bathroom didn't have a door. Not a big deal but still weird.

Very clean room, the breakfast was included and plenty of choice very happy w/ the service by the owner I believe. Very polite and felt so welcome, you won't be disappointed at all. Great value for the lil money, thank you for having me over!

Room was quite small and basic but clean. Price/quality ratio was very good (at least for my booking). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location not too far from the Dome (1,4 km walk) and the Koelnmesse (ca 2 km walk). Parking within 10 minutes walk, for 5 € a day.

a chair would be handy

Near to fair and Arena in district full of services. Very quiet and clean with everything you may need for a short stay. Reception is separated from rooms and this make them very silent.

Furniture is essential and basic, but good enough for short stays. The stairs can be a problem for those with little mobility or heavy luggage
