The location is great, we were tops 10 minutes walking from the Koelnmesse, and you're reasonably close to the old town as well. The staff was just great, very helpful, and the room itself was very comfortable. The bar is comfortable and had good prices as well.

The hotel feels a bit old, it felt like it could be renovated. My room had a very uncomfortable desk (had to pull it off the wall as it was under the slanted roof and I couldn't even open the laptop all the way), but while it was comfortable in general it felt a bit old. The wifi didn't work great in the last floor.

The room I stayed in was very clean and the location was excellent as my work office was just around the corner which was handy for me and when the WIFI worked it was good.

Unfortunately, on the Monday night I didn't have any WIFI and when I went back to the hotel on Tuesday evening, for some unknown reason my key fob didn't work at the front door and also on my hotel room door. I can confirm that this got sorted out quickly and I had WIFI that all that evening until the following morning when I checked out.

For this price and location, I'd say the hotel is a perfect choice for the one night stay. It is clean, it was easy to access the building and the room (I got clear instructions via email) even in the middle of the night (so not having someone in the reception is not an issue as for me). Yes, there is no elevator (I was lucky to get a room on the 1st floor) and no wifi but in my case I really didn't care of it.

Location

The bathtub. The bathtub's flooring is not align to the bathroom's floor. When i go out of the bathtub, i fall in the floor, almost bump my head because im not expecting the floors are not aligned. Not to mention my foot is still wet. Please do something about it. You could at least put a stool to make it equal. Many accidents can happen in that and others can sue you for that. Thanks.

Booked 4 nights for our trip to Cologne for the Euros. Hotel Skada was ideally located for our stay, directly opposite Koln Messe/Deutz station and a 15 minute walk in to the centre. Also, within walking distance of Rheinpark and Koln Triangle observation deck, where amazing views of the city can be seen from high above. The hotel itself was clean, staff were really friendly and rooms were perfect for what we needed. Overall, a great stay.

The hotel is well located for the local parkrun at Rheinpark, and a short walk across the Hohenzollern Bridge for access to the cathedral, the Ludwig Museum and the "old town". It is situated across the road from Deutz/Messe station, which has direct S-bahn services to Bonn/Cologne Airport (3 stops, around 14 minutes), and there is a great choice of restaurants along the street. The hotel has an old-fashioned but comfortable feel, with wood-panelled bar and breakfast room. The bedroom was clean and big enough, with a view across the communal garden to the rear. The shower in the bathroom was spacious, with a decent flow. The hotel's rear garden has a large fishpool with koi carp, and a large aviary with an amazing assortment of tropical birds.

It would have been nice to have tea/coffee-making facilities in the room.

The room is basic but clean. The location is in front of the train station so superb. The optional breakfast is out of this world. It's not buffet but served to your table and there is food for 1 week...(check the picture!!). strongly recommended if you are after a great location and you enjoy breakfast 😋

Mattress needs to be replaced. Worth mentioning that the hotel is refurbishing all the rooms gradually...

The location was great for an overnight visit. The staff was very nice and easy to work with.

The biggest opportunity was the internet. Not looking to steam video, games or movies. Just basic email. Needed to hotspot with my partner who had eSIM data.

The room was a more than adequate size for a couple. It was quite clean. The hotel has a great location, in a matter of minutes you are already in the cathedral or you can take the train since there is a station a few minutes away. The staff was very nice and they made everything very easy.

It's a very good price and well located hotel , I like the decor, don't see things with much personality anymore, was a nice surprise !

The staff were very friendly just a shame not to see them on the desk past a certain time :)
