Well located hotel across the bridge from the old town. Outside a tram stop that takes you straight into the old town. Lovely individual and interestingly decorated hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing varied continental breakfast including hard boiled eggs, breads, pastries, cold meats and cheese, yogurts, fresh fruit and cereals. Room had a great view of the river and the Cathedral. Spacious room with huge TV ( german channels only) There was also parking, which we did not need. Super easy to get back to the airport. There is a little kiosk shop next door to the hotel. I would recommend this hotel.

Nothing really, international tv channels would have been a bonus.

The whole experience of staying at Hotel Freiheit was fabulous, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Cleanliness of the whole property was excellent. Breakfast was great

If I have to make any sort of criticism it would be, no tea or coffee making facilities either in the room or in the reception area. But this is a ever so minor criticism.

Staff is really friendly, rooms are clean, breakfast is very good. We got a cheap parking space at the hotel. TV is big in the room. We got to rent free bikes (though they were old and didn't work well) Location is very good.

On booking.com the deluxe room said it had a view on the river. Our room didn't, so that was a bit of a dissapointed. We would have been replaced but the hotel was full. The staff was friendly on this topic. Wifi was really bad, we used our phone hotspot. We didn't get a single bed as is shown in many pictures. These were 2 separate beds against each other, which is not that nice for a couple.

The location is great and the breakfast is exceptional.

The price is too high for what you get. However the rooms are clean and very comfortable.

Easy to get to the train station, with a tram stop right outside the door. Owner Manfred welcomed me warmly, warning that his last room was the smallest, and tiny it was, with a tiny bathroom, but clean, and it had what I needed. Excellent breakfast in the morning, with pastries, fresh berries, salmon and charcuterie, cheeses, anything to make anyone happy.

All good, even with the tiny room.

Everything was perfect. The location of the hotel is ideal for the Anuga Expo within 10 10-minute walk, and it is close to the city centre and Cologne Cathedral. Breakfast and service were excellent. Thanks to Sadiqa for making us feel at home.

I had the hotels smallest room , and was warned by the reception person. It was nicely decorated but the shower floor did have some mould on it (fake pebble floor)

I reserved the double room for my friends who are a couple. They're satisfied with everything of the stay in the hotel.

There is a nice view from the double room to the Rhine. Nonetheless, it faces the side where the metro drives though. My friends told me that it was completely quiet with door to the balcony and window completely closed, I'm not quite sure whether that's really the truth or they just wanted me to have no worry about it.

Lovely friendly hotel, which was clean and tidy. Staff was all very helpful and polite. lovely view from the balcony looking over the river Rhein.

Clean and slightly quirky hotel just across on the other side of the river from the main station and cathedral. Excellent continental breakfast choice and friendly staff
