I needed something basic and preferably cheap for a brief overnight between trains stop in Koln and this fitted the bill perfectly. The short walk from the Hauptbahnhof was quick and easy. You get what you pay for and while the room was a little tired and not the Marriot for the price it was excellent. Bed was fine, small desk and chair were big enough to use as a work desk. Small TV, and enough space for my luggage. The bathroom was small but clean and functional. I didn't have breakfast. Surprisingly for Germany there were in room drink making facilities, a real bonus when arriving late (there is a key safe for late arrivals)

It was all really great for the price. There is no lift so getting luggage above the ground floor could be a struggle (this is mentioned in the hotels information) I ended up on the second floor and would not have wanted to go any further. Ask for a ground floor!

An amazing 1 night stay before we finally headed home from our backpacking trip! Staff were really friendly and we felt right at home. Has all you need for a short stay. Beds were comfortable and bathroom clean. We had the top attic room which was nice and quiet. Breakfast was really great, lots on offer for just €10 pp. Great location for a river walk and lots of nearby restaurants. I would recommend Freulein Herborths for a great burger!

Had two minor issues with the room but we reported these to reception and they apologised with sincerity.

Location is superb next to the train station and the Cathedral. Although hotel is small is well provided of everything you might need.

This is me just being picky, but pillows were so rhin that if you need a thick one, you might have a problem sleeping. Also, the receptionist was wearing headphones and not paying attention to the door so she didn't even know that we entered thanks to other people going out, we needed to look for them in order to do the check-in.

The room was nice and clean. basic toiletries were available. It's cozy, well kept and quiet. perfect for a short stay. the instructions for self-check were easy to follow. I booked last minute and the price was very reasonable. it's 5 mins walk from the main station where you can get food, shop for essentials etc. that also means that the old town is within walking distance including major attractions. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. This isn't a charming hotel, but it certainly has the basics covered and I will most likely rebook if I travel to Cologne for one night again spontaneously.

Standard double room with a nice balcony. Has air conditioning. Quick walk from Cologne main station. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly.

Shower was quite small. We were initially given the wrong room key from the self checkin however staff quickly resolved the issue. Prices were quite high however this was mainly due to the Euro cup period.

Great location, very close to the train station and the city center. Many shops and supermarkets in the area. The room was very comfortable and clean and the whole building was quite pleasant and nicely decorated. The receptionist was very kind and helpful and gave us useful information, instructions and tips for our trip.

The only thing we missed was natural light due to the fact that the hotel is in a narrow street and our room had a small window. But if there is no need to stay in the hotel and read or work, this is OK.

Really close to the train station, simple but pretty clean. Perfect if you’re travelling around Europe by train and need a quick stop over. They had a fan which was great because it was really hot. TV for those wanting to watch something

The bathroom was outside of the room but it looked like it was only used by this room anyway.

The staff were excellent. Extremely helpful with giving advice on local attractions and places to go, including finding a traditional pork knuckle for dinner. Front desk staff came up to our room with us to confirm that it had indeed been cleaned and prepared for our stay. Couldn't have asked for a better welcome.

The only thing we didn't like were the fitted sheets on our bed. They felt like mattress protectors and we thought perhaps they didn't put the actual sheet on. It didn't bother us enough to say anything (we didn't realise until 10pm that night) and given we only stayed one night, we didn't get the opportunity to say anything before we left. We still slept fine, it was just a weird feeling (a bit rough).

Conveniently situated close to the Hauptbahnhof, ideal for a quick stop-over when travelling. Staff were very friendly on checking out.

The out-of-hours check-in procedure works, but could do with tidying up. There are two machines next to the door for dispensing a key via a PIN number, but the more visible of the machines is no longer in use. It does have a sign directing to the other one, but in the night-time shadows, this confused me for a couple of minutes. Once this was understood, everything was fine.

Handily placed near to Koln HBF, and easy walking distance to City centre.Rooms cleaned daily, friendly staff.

Occasionally noisy at night, and we were staying during a heatwave, and the room was rather warm!
