The hotel is a five minute walk from the main railway station & only a short distance from the cathedral, shopping areas, the Rheine river & the Aldstat (old town). My room (No 11) was clean, comfortable & had everything I required. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of options both hot & cold. I was also given a choice of what time I preferred to eat. All the staff I encountered were polite, friendly & happy to converse in English when my poor German let me down. All in all a superb stay in a wonderful city & excellent value for money too.

I had no issues whatsoever. Everything was fine. I appreciate that some tourists from the UK like to have tea/coffee making facilities in their room but personally speaking, this was not a problem for me. On the contrary, there are plenty of shops & café's nearby to purchase coffee etc.

Within walking distance to the cologne cathedral, bridge. Can walk to food as well. It was a clean room and nice size. We knew it had no a.c. but we asked for a fan and one was provided. The room was pretty.

I didn't like stepping up and down into the shower, it felt slippery. Maybe a bath mat inside the shower would help. They provided breakfast, but it was a bit strange with onion rings one day and chicken nuggets the next, also so much candy for breakfast. We were in the apartment unit, each time someone came in or out you could hear it because the door bangs. So maybe earplugs for people who don't like noise is recommended.

As previous reviews have stated, the location is great, the staff are very friendly, and the breakfast is fantastic. The apartment is roomy and comfortable. I'm happy to say that there was a washing machine in the apartment which is great for those on long trips as we were ... and the shower was great. The apartment suited us just fine for the two nights that we spent in Cologne. By the way, if you happen to be in Cologne for a few days then I'd recommend a day trip (including by train) to Aachen which, for hundreds of years, was the imperial capital of the Holy Roman Empire (and, for a time, was ruled by Charlemagne). Check out the Cathedral there with its gorgeous Palatine Chapel.

The staff was very warm and welcoming. The breakfast provided each morning was such a delightful variety of warm and cold dishes, allowing for a great start to the day of sightseeing. The location of the hotel was ideal: 3 minutes from the main train station and the Gothic Dom Cathedral and walking distance to the different districts of Cologne. I had a Christmas package shipped to the hotel from Austria, and every staff member was on the alert, and to my surprise, it arrived prior to our arrival. What a beautiful Christmas gift! Thank you to Claudia and her team! 💕

My only suggestion would be to update the pillows. The interior material made for a very hard pillow.

My room was spotless, the shower water was hot, the bed was comfortable and the staff was great. The location is right around the corner from the train station and just a few steps further to the Dom. I enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the dining staff did a nice job of remembering what I wanted to drink and getting my egg order. The only minor negative I can think of is the shower water control knob was easily bumped while washing, either turning off the water or changing the temperature abruptly.

The Location was excellent, The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were mostly very good. The two people who checked me in and checked me out were friendly, professional, and courteous.

I had an unacceptably bad interaction with a person named Gina. I arrived the first morning twelve minutes after breakfast time had elapsed (I mistook the last time for breakfast). Gina called me out in a public and unprofessional manner. They seemed to be trying their best to talk down to me. When I explained I simply got the time wrong, Gina responded with the tone of someone talking to a newborn wall, and rudely tried to explain to me how time works. A refresher course on guest services would work well. I would still recommend this establishment, just do not come late for breakfast or Gina may come for you.

The hotel is literally 3 minutes away from the main train station, which makes it very convenient, but also the neighbourhood is a typical train station neighbourhood. It's also very close to the cathedral, to the Rhine and to some museums. The stuff is very polite and friendly, even classy in a way, which was very nice. The room was very stylish, unconventionally decorated (even with wallpaper). It's very clean and cosy. The breakfast is really good, there's even an omelette menu from which you can order. All in all, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

The only real disadvantage was that the room was not sound-proof from the inside. You don't hear anything from the street (good sound-proof windows) but you hear the squeaking floor in the room next to yours when somebody walks. Also, the rooms are rather small (but of course you see it in the description, so no surprises here). Another thing that was not a problem for me but could be a problem for somebody else is that 5th floor rooms are not accessible by lift. You take the lift till floor 4 and then climb rather steep stairs. Again, not a problem, unless you have reduced mobility (so check it in advance). The value for money is not fantastic, but this is a general problem of German hotels, they are always quite expensive.

Staff friendly and helpful. Excellent Breakfast, Very clean and the rooms like nice.

I booked a room that had the bath on the same floor. The bath is a little small and claustrophobic. The fact that it is outside of your room is not great, but then it was bad. I booked it because it was cheaper, so I don't really complain. If you are not comfortable with a fairly small bath outside your room, pay the few extra euros for having your "own". The hotel and staff on the other hand are great

Breakfast excellent. Good range of food and drink and coffee even got topped up twice one of the days! Excellent position, 5 mins walk north of station and a little further to Dom walking through the station. Very comfortable purple pillow, I was asleep in no time! Good opening windows, nice curtains. Shower was fine.

Bedroom door was extremely hard to open. Took about 5 attempts each time (both directions). Would be good to know whether to just use key or the electronic system above the door and what to key in or how many times to turn, which direction, etc.

Easy walk from train station, cathedral and city centre. Room was small ( as stated on the website) but very nicely decorated with a large single bed which was very comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent with a large range of choices. As I had an early train on departure and would miss breakfast I was offered a packed meal which was very good. I arrived too early for check in but was able to leave my luggage. When I did check in my luggage had been taken to my room which was a thoughtful touch. My room was in the part of the hotel along the street from the main hotel but it was a very short walk back for breakfast. The staff ( owners in done cases) were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and I felt safe as a single traveller.

It would gave been nice to be able to make a cup of tea or coffee in the room but this is a minor thing.
