Good location right next to Cologne central station. I had to book a room urgently at the last minute because my train connections to my final destination were disturbed and extremely delayed. I was happy to hear that they were still open until midnight and I could still sleep somewhere comfortably. And the price was good for the quality, because most hotels near the station were much more expensive or much less comfortable.

No means of natural ventilation because of the noise from the traffic out front, which I prefer to airconditioning. Although I was very glad to have airco, since it was warm that night.

The apartment situated in the vicinity of the cathedral and the city centre has a certain old fashioned charm, but offers a very spacious, comfortable and cosy room (studio would probably describe it better), with a "sitting corner" and some desk space. The staff is particularly attentive to the expectations of the customers and provide a thorough briefing upon arrival. No breakfast is provided, but there are plenty of eateries nearby. Though overlooking the central railway station, the apartments are soundproof. Parking space is availalble on the spot only for small cars; there are otherwise spacious public parkings available nearby and considered generally safe - and there is an impressive presence of police forces in the area.

Some may find the surroundings or the building a bit gloomy at first sight, but that feeling is rapidly overcome.

They got me a room on very short notice (due to a train strike). It was close to the main train station and attractions. I walked it with a heavy backpack and a wheeled suitcase. The room was very clean and had a fridge, microwave and I think even a mini stove if I remember correctly. Staff was very helpful and held my bags on checkout day so I could see some of the sights. Price was great!

Nothing major here. The elevator is tiny. If you have a large object or lots of suitcases you might have to make multiple trips. The train station has some sketchy characters but nobody bothered me and I did walk alone at night. Plenty of police and security there. I hesitate to list this as isn't the hotels responsibility, but could matter depending on your circumstances. The room furnishings are dated and look like they are from the 70s or 80s. But everything was clean, and the price was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Great spacious room/appartement just a very short walk from the main railway station. Good bed, good seats and a small kitchenette. Shower is warm, but a bit slippery because in the bathtub. Staff is very helpful and friendly. All in all a good stay.

Room was quite warm, but opening the window solved it easily.

We booked this hotel for a 2 night stay in Cologne and it was everything we needed. The location is perfect if you want to be near the main station, cathedral, river or most of the other main touristy spots - around a 5-10 minute walk to most of these. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly at all times (also when contacted prior to our stay they were happy to store our luggage if we arrived too early to check in). Our room was clean and spacious, and serviced every day. It also contained a wardrobe type structure which turned out to contain a small kitchen, including a fridge which was handy. Other kitchen equipment is available from reception eg kettle, microwave etc. Although we did not make use of the kitchen I imagine it could be useful if you’re travelling on a budget. A large portable air conditioning unit was provided in the room which worked well. We requested a room with a nice view if possible and they did their best to meet this request, although how nice the view actually was is probably subjective! We were on the 5th floor, but this was no problem as a small elevator is available. The proximity to the station and train lines was not a problem, as the room is soundproofed by a double layer of glazing - we were not disturbed at all. If, like us, you’re looking for a reasonably priced clean room with good facilities close to the station/cathedral then you won’t go far wrong with this hotel.

Having booked at the last minute, selecting the cheapest alternative without really paying attention to details, I was pleasantly surprised by this wonderful little hotel. A small reception and stairwell lead to an extravagantly large and comfortable room. Slightly old fashion, quality furnishing, efficient double windows to keep out the noise, and a simple, clean and functional bathroom. It is a 3-minute stroll to the railway station, and hence to the city’s landmark cathedral. Do not be fooled by the building’s drab exterior, this is a quality hotel.

The room I stayed it was quite large, almost too big for even a couple. There is also a large table with power outlets, which makes it ideal for those who travel for work. It is located very close to the main train station and there are at least two tasty looking Asian restaurants very close by.

The wifi would occasionally cut out and require the password again. Like in some other hotels, the snacks and drinks from the minibar are heavily overpriced (ca. 3 Euros for a small pack of crisps). I did not use the mini kitchen, but the large amount of wood around and above it did not look very safe.

Our room was very large and well furnished. Staff on reception were helpful and accepted our request for early access to drop our bags. Also provided good recommendations for dinner. Excellent location for easy walk from the station and access to Dom, restaurants, etc. There is a small kitchen unit including a fridge which was very useful for keeping drinks cold. A kettle is available on request.

The air conditioning was a very noisy unit, so at night, you have to choose between the noise of the air conditioning or the noise from the street when you open the windows.

The staff was very friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. Everything was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

There aren't enough electric outlets in the room, we had to charge our phones in the bathroom and we had to disconnect the telephone to plug our laptops to work.

Room is a bit old fashioned from a design perspective, BUT it had everything you need. It was spacious, CLEAN, and had a comforting homey feel to it. Also, the tap water was very drinkable and didn't taste funny.

The room looks a bit run down (normal wear and tear over the years), but again it was clean clean clean.
