The hotel exceeded my expectations. Old in charm but everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the brewery connected to the hotel is a must visit for a meal and beverage at the end of the day. The location is right on the edge of the old part of town with everything within easy walking distance. The Koln Messe is 2 easy stops from the Strasse Bahn which is basically across the street. This will be my new home for the future when visiting Koln. Neil - Australia

Not much to say here, I really had no negative thoughts whilst I stayed.

No breakfast afaik. Rooms were clean. Accidentally booked during Euro 2024 & being so close to the fan zone was great! The location, proximity to the Rhine & the restaurants is a major reason to book again. Staff was really cordial & helpful for our stay.

Booked a superior room because it was "superior" & to surprise my spouse with the in-room keg. Booked 2nd room for the kids. Ended up switching rooms. Kid room felt superior & keg was foamy, so didn't work. Keg was taken off the bill with no hassle, so that was great. Lastly, the restaurant & bar were kinda downers, even with Euro cup going on. The food was good, not memorable. Service was swift. Just didn't want to go back or go to the bar to watch the matches.

Hotel was in an excellent location for the centre of Cologne within easy reach of a lot of the sights and transport links. Beds were clean and comfortable and the room had everything required for our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly. Loved the look of the restaurant but we did not have time to use. Hotel was packed with Scottish and Swiss football fans singing in the bar and is close to a busy road but none could be heard in room

Only one key given per room but we were only there for 2 nights so didn’t matter. Don’t know if another could have been made available

The hotel was centrally located and a short walk from the main points of interest, as well as the train station. The breakfast was superb, with a large variety of food and being buffet there was certainly not shortage of anything. Our room was nice and clean and with a lovely view over the town. We enjoyed having dinner at the bar and brewery and on arrival we were also given a couple of tokens for two free glasses of their locally brewed beer.

Unfortunately, on one of the morning we were there the hotel did not serve food due to shortage of staff. We however found a lovely café' nearby.

Location was excellent. Having tea coffee facilities in the room is excellent. Lift up to room very grateful.

Room does not go dark when you wish to sleep as the white bathroom blind lets in the light. Needs to be changed to dark. Very hot in the room. Opened windows but then very noisy. they gave me a fan which was absolutely useless, I wonder if anyone has tried it, it gives no relief from hot air, the room was unbearable with all the windows closed. a proper fan would have made a huge difference.

Very good location. Clean room and a good breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. When we were there there was a plasterer repairing the very old wall.

The hotel is on a very busy junction and the noise from the was loud. However we closed all windows and almost all noise was excluded. We thought maybe the room would become too warm after doing this but it didn’t. Also there is a bar on the premises. We we worried this might give a lot of noise but we had no trouble at all,

Perfect location to explore the city, but also easy to reach the fair by public transport. All kind of restaurants all around at Heumarkt, but also a great traditional restaurant in the same building. Nice and helpful staff, cosy and clean room and simple but good and fresh breakfast buffet.

The mattress was a little too stiff for my taste, but others may like that..

Unique and very comfortable. Splendid location with trams 100m away, plenty of food located within walking distance, as well as a mall with all your shopping needs. Wonderful location to experience the beauty of Koln. The stunning cathedral is a 15-20 stroll away, the Rhine just around the corner.

No air conditioner, so was hot :/ in August. The pillows were terrible. It would be worth replacing them and it would be great! we left at night, and for this reason we paid in advance, but at night they asked us to make a copy of the credit card (I repeat, I paid everything in advance)

The room was clean and spacious. The location was very central and easy to reach.

The only thing that threw me off a bit was that there was no door to the toilet, but just an opaque glass panel, and that it was possible to see inside the shower from the bed, thanks to a large mirror on the wall and to the transparent shower door (see picture)
