We stayed in one of the top floor rooms. There is a good amount of space, the bed was comfortable, all the windows open to let fresh air in. The front desk guys were super helpful. It is a walk up and we were on the 5th floor (6th technically) but he brought most of our bags up for us. The only small issue with the room was that there isn't a full length mirror.
The breakfast was a little lacking as well as the guys making it. They didn't come off very friendly and I didn't know if it was ok to ask them to make me food. There isn't an obvious sign and they didn't ask us if we wanted anything other than coffee. I still don't know if it was okay to ask for food, but they did make me scrambled eggs.

This location is really brilliant. Heinzels Wintermärchen is right outside the door & the H stop for the hoilday train is in the immediate vicinity as well. Cozy room with tall ceilings and street facing windows which opened to allow in the Christmas music. Very clean, with a mini frig, comfortable bed & nice ensuite bath. Easy 8 minute walk (with a roller bag) from the train station and Cathedral. There is a highly rated restaurant on-site that smelled fantastic, but I didn't get a chance to try it. I would stay in this accommodation again on future visits & found the value in the rate.

The location was great. Everything within walking distance with a short walk to the river Rhine and the cathedral and art galleries. 5 minute walk to the underground station and a short walk to the shopping areas. Not a huge room but comfy beds and lovely pillows.
The room was very hot and the fan just moved hot air around. There was what looked like a switch for an air conditioner saying our room was 26.8 with the window open and fan on.I asked the receptionist was there air conditioning in the room, she just shrugged and said she didn’t know. Not very helpful. Also there is no lift, it didn’t matter to us with small bags on the 2nd floor but something to think about, I wouldn’t like to carry suitcases up those winding stairs.

Our room was at the back of the hotel, overlooking a quiet square, with lots of trees. Very peaceful. Room was nice and dark for sleeping and had a fan to help cool us down. The location was excellent, perfect for exploring l the old town. The fridge was unexpected, and the complimentary beers (and bottled water) were much appreciated.
Two flights of tight, spiral stairs. Fortunately the person on duty carried our luggage up for us, but it was still tricky getting the bags down. The recently renovated room looked lovely, but had insufficient lighting if you wished to read or use a laptop on the little table at night. The nice looking new shelving was not sufficient for our two roller bags, with the shelves too small to be useful, and there was not enough space for the two bags elsewhere.

I asked for a quiet room and was given the most lovely and peaceful room on the fourth floor which, to my added surprise even had a tiny balcony just big enough for a chair which had a rooftop view down onto the cobbled street and River Rhine in the distance. Absolutely overjoyed! And it really was peaceful with the sound of the various church bells and Dom chiming around (very melodic) and the call of birdsong coming from the many trees scattered around the different squares. The room itself was perfect for my three-day stay in Cologne and was very comfortable, tastefully furnished and decorated and a good supply of teas and coffees provided. The kettle had a malfunction but was replaced for which I was very grateful. As mentioned - top floor, but it was absolutely worth the 60+ steps to get there to my rooftop eyrie over Old Town. There are many bars and eating establishments around and being so high up, this wasn't a problem at all and generally it became quiet after 11pm. The staff were really lovely, very helpful and friendly and did everything possible to make my stay happy. I had a delicious continental-style breakfast on my first morning, everything you would imagine was served in typical imaginative style such is always done in Germany and the bread, coffee and cheese particularly were amazing. I was lucky enough to enjoy it outside on their terrace in the cobbled square overlooking small seating areas surrounded by wisteria 'growing umbrellas' and St Martin Church, it was very pretty. There was a very nice touch at the base of the stairs in reception each morning too: an apple for each guest placed on a tiny shelf, very thoughtful. Lint Hotel Koln was such a fantastic choice of somewhere to stay as this was my first visit to Cologne and if I should ever return to this lovely city, it would definitely be my first choice of hotel to stay at again.
Everything was good.

Very well located hotel, specially if you are visiting the cathedral or the Christmas markets. The room had the perfect size for me and was well equiped and comfortable. Two drink bottles (water and local beer) were offered by the hotel. I did not eat at the hotel so I cannot comment on that.
There was a bit of noise coming from the street outside the hotel during one of my nights there, but nothing of much concern unless you have a light sleep.

Great location! Right in the middle of the Altstadt. 5 mins walk from Dom, 30 seconds from Groß St Martin, 2 mins from the river, 6 mins to the central station. Has glass, cup and saucer, kettle, teabags and coffee, tiny fridge sufficient for a few days. Missing a spoon unfortunately. Surprise free apples at the reception during the mainly unmanned hours at the property, nice gesture to say hello.
Only 4 hours a day manned reception. But they are quite good to reply messages out of these 4 hours. Noisy street, Monday morning very early was the rubbish truck. I was on the first floor (I asked for 1st floor due to no lift), and the noisy was like right next to me. If it’s not too warm, it’s probably ok to turn the fan on (quite quiet) and shut the windows for the night, except I wouldn’t know the rubbish truck would come. Beware of Monday mornings if you stay there and have a room facing the street side.

Nicely redesigned room with large windows overlooking a small and quiet square. The hotel is located at the heart of historical Cologne, 10 mn away from the station.
No elevator, no AC (just pray a heat wave doesn't hit the city while you're staying there), no hangers in the room, almost finished room (some wallpaper missing here, socket and light covers missing there), no people attending desk before 1am... With little additions, the hotel could be much better than it already is.

Absolutely wonderful location, in a charming narrow street near the Rhine, with the back facing a charming square. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had in the adjacent café. Lovely cosy, clean rooms, with nice touches like the complimentary Kolsch and water in the fridge.
We visited in August and the lack of air con meant the rooms were warm. With windows open for a breeze there was some street noise (but nothing like as noisy as other hotels I’ve stayed at in Koln). The precipitous narrow spiral staircase (66 steps) to our fourth floor room was fine for us but would be challenging if anyone in your group had mobility issues, so do ask for a room on a lower floor if this applies to you. These are small niggles though - I’d definitely stay there again!

Location was excellent. Close to everything and many food choices on your doorstep. Gnome Christmas market (The best in Koln) was so close in the square at the end of the street. Bed was very comfortable.
Water pressure in shower wasn’t great but serviceable. No elevator so had to carry all your bags up winding stairs. No unusual for Europe but wasn’t aware of that prior to arrival.
