The views from our window was wonderful. There was a lively atmosphere on the street which was colourful filled with music and an abundance of good pubs and restaurants. The locals were polite, welcoming and helpful. The hotel offered a very good breakfast for a reasonable price.

The hotel room was uncomfortably warm. There was no air conditioner or fan so we had to sleep with the windows wide open. No spare pillows provided I four the pillow too flat.

The hotel is located right between old town and cathedral, with a short walking distance to the train station. The beautiful view over the Rhine river made up for the noise from the riverwalk. There was a good selection for breakfast, served in a nice dining room. Checking in and checking out was fast and efficient, the staff was very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room perfectly clean.

The location is simply unbeatable. No more than 5 minutes walk from the Dom and Central Station with a direct look over the Rhein. The breakfast was great value for the money. The whole stay at Hotel Römerhafen was exceptional value.

The entire time we were there, there wasn't any wifi. The staff was very apologetic and we didn't care much as we were only there to sleep really. The room was a bit cold the first night. But after asking the staff to adjust the temperature, it was perfect. Our room wasn't on the Rhein side sadly, but because of that, we could see the spires of the Cologne Dom from our balcony!

The hotel's location is great and reason we booked it, on the river with great views and close to the old town , restaurants and not too far from the main station. The staff was also very friendly

The hotel and rooms are dated but we knew from pictures that it is an older place, but the views and location makes up for it. The biggest issue was that we were on the 4/5th level, very narrow steps and no elevator ( out of service).

We’ve already booked our next stay! This property is the perfect location for walking in old Köln. Also, the Cathedral and Christmas markets are just around the corner. The room is neither spacious nor cramped-just the right size. The owners are very friendly keep the rooms clean. Their traditional German breakfast is delicious. Highly recommend!

Nice breakfast buffet, Owners were very nice and very helpful. The room had a nice view on the river. The location was excellent, 5 - 10 minute walk to everything (museums, old city, train station)

The elevator was not working and we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the room. It was ok for us, but other travelers might find this inconvenient.

We had the suite at the top of the hotel with the balcony and fantastic views. The suite was on two floors connected by a spiral staircase. There were comfortable areas to sit on both floor. There was a dressing room with wardrobes connecting bedroom and bathroom. The suite was on the 5th floor. The small lift goes up to the 4th floor. The breakfast has a good range of options. The hotel is a short walk from Cologne train station. It is also in walking distance for many attractions. Location couldn’t be better. It is also in an area of great restaurants.

The bath was a bit narrow which made the shower awkward.

Friendly staff, clean, good value for money and an excellent location

There was a heatwave at the time and the rooms didn't have air con but for the location and price I don't have any complaints. The staff were more than happy to provide fans too.

The location was perfect, it is actually very central, close to the most touristic spots. The view was also great, we had a nice river view. The size of the room is also quite big.

The WiFi could be better.
