The overall design of the hotel felt quite old-school—almost like staying at my grandmother’s house. There were plenty of hangers in the room, though a few more in the bathroom would have been useful. The hairdryer either wasn’t working or I just couldn’t figure out how to use it. We had no issues with heating. It was quite sufficient. We had breakfast—it wasn’t amazing, but it met the basic standards of a decent hotel meal. The variety of bread was truly excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. One evening, when we were feeling slightly unwell, we asked for hot water and cups to make tea, and they provided them without any issue. Despite outside (at Saturday night), the hotel’s interior was very quiet and peaceful. In the mornings, the soothing sound of birds chirping could be heard from inside.

The room was reasonably clean, but the bathroom seemed like an afterthought; it had no real walls, just glass panels, offering zero privacy. The shower didn’t have a door, so everything got wet while using it. As an architect myself, I’m always shocked by the design choices in some hotels. Also, there were four enormous pillows on the bed, and we had no idea where to put them. The room was already tight, and we barely fit ourselves. Please don’t prioritize unnecessary aesthetic details over functionality. On Saturday night, there was some noise from outside entertainment. If we had needed to open the window, it would have been a real issue.

Location was just perfect. Everything within walking distance and only 5 mins fron the station. Situated within 200 m of the Rhine but in a quiet street. Near to lots of bars and restaurants whichever way we went. The room was big and very comfortable. Lovely bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge which was great. Also air con in the room. Staff lovely and the room was made up every day with fresh towels and flannels. Excellent wifi. Will definitely return.

What a perfectly lovely small hotel, in the perfect location for all that Cologne has to offer. Really lovely staff. Wonderful breakfast in a lovely breakfast room. Bedroom was comfy with fully opening windows, which we like. Also had air con. Good nights sleep in clean and comfortable bed. Was nice to have a bath after two and a half weeks touring Europe, and only having showers. Public parking was literally next door and not too expensive.

Only that bedroom could do with a fresh coat of paint. Otherwise very charming.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious and clean with it's own living room area. It was almost like a little apartment. The beds were very comfortable as well. The location was perfect for us! We came by train and it was only @ a 5 minute walk from the Cologne main train station. It's also located in the Altstadt (Old town) which is full of bars, restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The room was great, but it was located at a level that was not accessible by an elevator. It was only 1/2 a flight of stairs, but it could be an issue for some people. They do have an elevator for other floors.

- Ourstanding location near embarkment, cathedral and railway station - Tiny room, but cozy, renovated, with modern furniture , good ergonomics and large shower cabin -nice fragrances of washing suppliers -comfortable bed linens - A lot of sockets to charge all your devices You can have option with or without breakfast

- We could hear noise from some night club nearby, if you have sensitive sleep might be an issue - no ramp (pandus) on the entrance. There is high step that means you have to lift your baggage, for senior citizens might be issue to overcome that step.

Room is clean and location is very convenient to access many nice places including train station. Hotel is very generous on bottled drinking water. We can ask for how many we want without question, or delay which is hard to find in our three-week Germany trip.

Hotel facilities are quite old such as sofa, curtain, desk and elevator is small. It may be not obvious when look in photo while booking.

The location is amazing, a stone's throw away from the central station which is directly linked to the airport, Dusseldorf in my case. I could go around easily by walk to the old city center or to Messe area where I had some business. There is also a scooter/bicycle rental parking some 50m up the road which makes reaching point A-B faster! Staff was amazing, offered breakfast at an extra charge, but it was all worth it as it was very tasty and abundant!

Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Like the two areas one for sleeping and the other for relaxing. The location was great next to lots of restaurants with varied menus. Also close to the sites and great shopping.

The elevator, very old. The fact you had to walk up or down stairs to get to the elevator.

Staff were all lovely, modern bedrooms with Nespresso and air conditioning, comfortable beds, lovely new bathroom with powerful shower. Radio built in to the bedroom and bathroom. Very clean! Perfect location central to everything.

Bit noisy from the street but put the air conditioning on and we didn’t hear it!

Despite being on the 3rd floor with the windows closed, the loud noise coming from the nearby karaoke bar and another bar also nearby proved to be highly bothersome. Trying to get a good night's sleep before 2am was nearly impossible during both nights of our stay.
