Rather impressive historical building (over 750 years old) with black panelling and faded portraits, well-appointed, comfortable, bright, warm. Good modern room and bathroom. -- Varied breakfast, including proper German bread and plant-based milk. -- Central location at the edge of the Old Town and close to the River Rhine. -- Very friendly and efficient staff, genuinely helpful.

Only filter coffee was available, which tastes awful and hurts the stomach. Please consider adding the fantastic German "Caffe Crema" (which is plain black coffee from a machine).

The location was super central and the staff was super amazing. Everyone at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. I wanna tell the management that they have hired the most amazing people at the hotel. Would love the stay there again if I come to cologne.

Well the bedroom was clean but if you looked closely you could see it wasn’t that clean! Under the bed was so full of dust and spider webs and bits of food that had completely dried up! It definitely had not be hoover in many months!! Under the desk you could see clearly there was a huge drip strain of someone that had spill their drinks down the wall! No coffee/tea facility not even a hot drink machine in the reception area which was very disappointing as this is something that I consider important for hotel guest to have, there was not even one in the room to make tea/coffee!!

Good location especially for Christmas market. Staff friendly and breakfast very good. Food was sufficient and always well stock All credit to the waitress who worked very hard to accommodate everyone needs. Good price for comfortable beds and needs.

The lighting in the room was not very good as only 1 light worked in the inner room. Beds was all single which has its good point (kids can sleep separately) but then the adult slept separately. Very limited furniture in the room which does not make it very homely. Showers let water out if curtains not tucked in. Bath not located the best as someone tall could hit their head.

It is a nice friendly hotel right in the middle of Cologne. The location is probably the best asset of this place. The room was very simple but clean. The breakfast was rather basic but good anyway.

The street-view room was rather noisy. In the morning, I could hear all the cars passing by. Maybe other rooms don't have this problem. (The noise isolation inside the hotel could also be improved). It would be great to have an electric kettle for boiling hot water in the room during the day.

An easy walk from the station and Cologne cathedral through the Aldstadt and all its squares, cafes, bars and ice cream shops. Near the Rhine and bridges. Breakfast was decent.

The street was not the best and some families might not want to stay next to 18+ cinemas- perhaps a warning would be appropriate. Rooms were on the snug side.

We liked the central location and breakfast. Staff was kind as well.

There is no lift in the hotel. İf you stay in a room upstairs, it is hard to carry luggage.

The breakfast was delicious!!! I really like the black woman at the reception. She really helped me with everything and I really appreciated it!!!! I forgot her name!!! She is a really kind person and calm. She was always available to help in any questions i had!!! Thank you so much!!!! Room 19 with the baby

The location is good as not far from the cathedral. The hotel is an old building with some nice decoration and wooden elements. The room was decent and included everything we needed. It is great to also have complimentary breakfast.

The staff could try to make more effort to be nice and welcoming.
