The property is a small family run property . The people are lovely and very happy to help. They lent us a sharp knife to cut a pineapple and allowed us to stay 2 extra hours after check out as we were leaving for the airport. The whole property is located on the main road only 2km from the lovely Flamingo bay marina. It is only a short drive to Brasilito beach from which one can walk to the lovely Conchal beach. It is possible to walk to a couple of restaurants nearby including one overlooking the sea. It is also an easy walk to Flamingo bay. The property is clean and contains about 6 lodges each comprising 2 semidetached rooms. Each pair are painted a different colour. They are lit up at night and look very pretty. They are located in a pretty garden with a lovely swimming pool in the middle. We had the swimming pool to ourselves all the time. Breakfast is good and served in a dining area near the pool. Rooms are cleaned every day. The rooms are basic but are very good value for the price.

There was no way to make a hot drink in the morning before breakfast at 7 or during the day. No kettle, microwave or coffee maker. The property could also do with a little tlc. On arrival the property does not look very nice which is a shame as once inside it is very pretty.,A little bit of painting could make a big difference Painting the little shed in the garden would do wonders . Some of the back part of the garden could do with a little attention. These are minor points as we really enjoyed the little oasis with the lovely people.

We enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Guanacaste Lodge and liked everything about it! Ana was very courteous and helpful at check-in and provided us with useful information regarding sites in the area. The staff were professional and friendly. The included breakfast was very good with excellent coffee. The grounds and cabins are maintained well, and the lodge has a very cozy and family-friendly vibe. The hotel has secure parking and is very quiet and peaceful during evening hours. Hotel Guanacaste Lodge suited our purposes perfectly. We will certainly recommend this hotel to others and will return to it when we are in the Playa Flamingo area.

The location is excellent, lots of birds in the morning and very calming if you are a nature lover. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Breakfast and coffee was very good . The pool was also very nice and clean. Grocery store next door and very good Italian restaurant just steps away. Definitely worth it and good value for your money.

The showers didn’t have enough water pressure and proper hot water . Sometimes there were ants in the room . Some more maintenance and upgrades could do wonders to this place .

The property was so close to the beach and many attractions. It’s a very cute and honest place, with most of your commodities at hand. It can be chilly in the evening so might want to bring a small blanket as the beds literally only come with 1 cover sheet. But over all a very nice hotel stay. I would recommend for 1-2 nights.

Can use an extra blanket. Towels are included but you have to ask the front desk ahead of time.

Beautifully landscaped hotel close to Flamingo Beach. Enjoyed and appreciated the breakfast that included fresh fruit plate, toast and scrambled eggs with rice and beans. We utilized the table and chairs on the patio outside our door several times during our stay. Beds are comfortable and appreciated the hot shower.

Very calm accommodation with a nice garden with pool. Good breakfast and friendly host.

Close to the beach, however the road there is not very suited for walking. Also the nicer beach is on the other side of the town.

There is a huge parking lot in front of the hotel, which is fenced off, so your car is protected. The accommodation area is large, the receptionist is really very nice. The room was very nice, spacious, and had all the equipment we needed.

The reception is not 24/7 and unfortunately, we forgot to say that we will be leaving early in the morning, so we had to wake the lady up. When your neighbours are sitting on the terrace, every word can be heard inside

Beautiful property, close to the beach with very spacious rooms. Can easily fit a family of four. Bathroom is also very spacious. Towels and soap provided. We were greated warmly and breakfast was delicious. Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, gallo pinto and toast. Swimming pool was lovely and warm. Supermarket next door with everything you may need and a 5 minute walk to the beach. 5 minute car drive to Playa Flamingo. Would stay again.
