We were in the carriage house extension, the room was very cozy, very clean, and very comfortable. I enjoyed the amenities and had a good time in the jet tub. The location was wonderful, only a 5 minute walk to town, plenty of food and shops around. The decorations were beautiful, and the house itself was very pretty.

There was apparently a bat in the most expensive room in the main house. We did not experience that. The breakfast seemed a bit too fancy for a bed and breakfast. Whenever someone in the carriage house used a water appliance, we could hear it through the bathroom. There was also a lack of places to put a meal down on and eat from. The flat screen tv they advertise is smaller than the pillows.

The cleanliness and size of the room exceeded what i thought i would get. Even the separated bathroom was an interesting touch if not a bit strange but in a cool way. It was just for our room and directly across the hall.

No TV in the room but i believe that is the overall vibe of the facility. Going for that true B & B feel where you are removed from the ruckus and busy pace of life. We just watched some programs through a tablet.

The location is fabulous. It’s convenient to all of Bennington, as well as Routes 7 and 7A, for exploring all the surrounding towns. The inn is beautiful and we were sorry we didn’t have more time there to sit and relax on the pretty porch or perhaps play a game or two in the sitting room. Joe is a perfect host and we hope to go back soon.

Having a small refrigerator in the room would have been helpful to keep fresh all the wonderful Vermont goodies we purchased!

We had a large bedroom with private bath in a beautiful, large and classic home. The owner and staff were most welcoming and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were great meals. We left our car in the parking area and walked to the center of town a few blocks away. We were pleasantly surprised by a classic car show on Main St. We enjoyed touring the attractions of the Bennington area such as the Battlefield monument and the museum, which had a great exhibit of Grandma Moses.

Nothing - everything was excellent.

The room was fabulous, comfortable and spacious (Peach room), and the common areas are really lovely. Wonderful attention to aesthetic detail and very comfortable beds.

Breakfast was cancelled (due to illness) and the service during dinner on the on-site restaurant was impossibly slow.

Beautifully restored old house filled with interesting items. Very much a snapshot of history. The main living room was absolutely beautiful.

No TV or WIFI. Bed was just a full memory foam, which being 6'2" with back issues, was not my first choice. Furniture was nicely done and pretty to look at, but not really usable, I was afraid to layout items or sit on the chair for fear of breaking or scratching something.

Breakfast was excellent, especially the first one with waffles and Amish peaches/cream. Location was great for our purposes. Room furnishings and views were beautiful. Bathroom very clean and well-appointed.

Carpeting in room needed additional vacuuming/cleaning and could probably use updating. Accidental glitch first morning with no hot water for showering, but great second day. No television access that we could find in entire facility. Typically not a problem but there was important breaking news at that time, so maybe a small TV room in such situations would be a good

this is our second visit to this little jewel our room was large and comfortable. the breakfast was exceptional. the addition of an authentic thai restaurant was very nice. the food cooked and the explanation of each dish was a nice addition. service was spot on. joe as was the case our last visit was very pleasant and welcoming. we will be returning

driving/parking area is tight. no breakfast (k cup machine available in the library). restaurant smell permeates house. tiniest tv on the other side of the room barely visible from bed. lacking amenities for the price point

Our room was beautiful! It was huge and comfortable in every way. Breakfast was served in a lovely high ceilinged room, on white linen and with flowers on every table. The service was impeccable and the coffee was strong and delicious. The staff and owner were informative and knowledgeable and the inn is walking distance of the downtown restaurants. Hint - fabulous food at Risrorante Allegro!

The only thing that could have improved the experience would have been a choice of breakfast foods. While the Belgian waffle was crisp and delicious and had a topping fresh fruit and Vermont maple syrup, I probably would have ordered an omelet or oatmeal had there been a choice.
